Drove all the way to this park from Seattle once after getting fed up with the steady grey weather there. Yakima is truly sunnier than the counties west of Snoqualmie. Not only was it sunnier but warmer. I had my lunch on a bench & then lay on a blanket I brought with me soaking up the sunshine. Under a cherry tree in blossom from behind which I could see a very blue & clear sky :) I noticed a little crowd around the duck pond & did not venture there. Reasonably good parking for a weekday.

9 hole Disc golf /frisbee golf course is fun for all abilities. If you have never played this is a great spot to give it a go and if you think you are a seasoned player there are some challenging shots to be made. park is well maintained.

Straight up — feeding ducks never gets old! Nice place to take a walk with the family and kids DURINGTHEDAY. Nice walking paths, good play ground that isn’t huge, but gets the job done and vast numbers of ducks who’s opinion of you is very much influenced on whether or not you have bread. If you’ve been before, it’s basically how you remember it!

Frisbee golf course is ok, it seems to be an after thought as you may have to play your round through birthday parties and kids playing soccer. I heard they are getting remodeled and hopefully they will revamp the course at that time.

My other half and I were coming back from a weekend out of town and stumbled on Randall Park in Yakima. What a nice park! The park was rather large, with a waterhole like area that had lots of ducks, geese, songbirds and other water birds. Lots of nicely manicured grass and trees to sit under. No public bathrooms, but there were a few porta potties. Perfect spot to spend a few hours on a nice day.
