Yale Hotel

This was our first visit — so we did not know what to expect. However, we were disappointed to see such high menu prices and very little people on a Saturday evening. We each ordered sliders, and my fiancé had tiny «slivers» of chicken on his, barely enough for a bite. To top it off, our server brought our bill before we even finished eating– rather just after we received our food! This is such a huge pet peeve of mine, being a former server and bartender. Ask your customers if they are done before presenting a check! Figured out quickly why there were not a lot of people here… Overall just not what we expected, probably won’t be going back anytime soon.
Thankfully the Yale Tavern was close by, and we were able to listen to live music and have a nightcap amongst a good crowd.

There is a 5 dollar charge if you are using a credit or debit card. Is that even legal? I won’t be returning here. Ever.

Incredible new gourmet menu that is very impressive, so nice to see the upscale changes that are happening. Elegant & professionally presented seafood buffets on Mother’s Day and Easter. This rustic charmed hotel is perfect for all kinds of occasions casual to business and have a seat by the fireplace. Nice hometown feel we always feel welcome and I am hoping to attend the next dinner/​paranormal event with friends.

Good food for a small town restaurant/​bar. Excellent on tap beer selection just disappointed that the prices have raised so much and the quality and quantity of food has not changed. Will continue to frequent yale hotel just not as often.
