I signed up for the TruComplete lawn program and paid some $ 500(charged to my American Express). About halfway through the treatments I had asked TruGreen rep to re-apply because weeds were showing up. No one came, called multiple times only to get roundabouts(will call you back in 24 hours). Short story — I canceled my service, got a partial refund and disputed the remaining amount on American Express. After about 30 days, I won the dispute and American Express refunded the remaining amount because no one from TruGreen(accounts receivable or other reps) ever bothered to contact Amex when the dispute opened. Now TruGreen is attempting to claim that money back.

I usually do the lawn care myself but I thought I would try this company. A sales rep came knocking on my door named Joe. He seemed very nice and didn’t push anything on me. He explained the program in detail and told me that if for any reason I was not satisfied he didn’t care how many times they had to come back they would get the job right. So I thought OK this company stands by their work. So i signed a contract and prepaid for the whole thing because I was offered a discount. Well the first service did not happen until the end of April. No knock on my door to let me know that they were here. The put down a feed that greened up my grass nicely but did not do anything for the yard full of weeds I have. So I called for a service call. They sent a service call agreement for me to sign so that they can come for the call. My appointment was set up for May 3. NO one came. I called again. They told me May 10th. No one came. I called again. Was told the 17th. No one came. The girl said that I was scheduled for them to come and would try to radio the tech and find out when he plans to stop by. Well her computer was down. Hello? No cell phone, or radio? How does dispatch keep in touch with their drivers? No one did any follow up with me to see if I was happy with the service. They did not seem to care that I was not happy with them. I called corporate office to cancel my contract and hopefully get the remainder of my money back. We shall see what happens. Corporate tried to give some service at half off and to also red flag my account for high priority to make sure the job gets done right. I told him that I wasn’t interested and said it was too late for that. It should have never come to this. After what I read on line about them, I will be very lucky to get my money back.
