Got an airbrush here for prom and looked terrible. Shoulders, hands, and armpits were completely white while my legs and arms were streaky.

A full-​service salon on Main Street in Yardley faces tough competition, four including Blush.
Blush was a place I always meant to stop in, so I did so after my regular facial at The Face and Body Spa. The first thing that caught my eye was how clean and organized the storefront was. I received a warm greeting from the receptionist whom informed me of the sale on makeup brushes. The selection of hair products impressed me to the point that I considered adding a few to the makeup brushes I chose. Then I moved on to the makeup… and this is where my review begins.
One of the makeup artists approached me as I glanced at the makeup pricing and the service menu. She asked if I had any questions and when I answered about the makeup, she seemed to tense. She was not at all friendly to begin with and this just confirmed it. I asked about what looked to be an eyeshadow to which she *corrected* me it was «a loose powder, multipurpose product to be used in a specific manner.» Excuse me for not realizing this. But what I could not get past was how she glared at me, most likely due to my red face. Picking up on this, I politely mentioned that I just had a facial and to excuse the redness. Any person in the beauty industry knows what an esthetician is and what they perform; she, on the other hand, wrinkled her nose and brushed me off with, «Anyway, you would need a consultation as these products are very specific and vary in price» *points to the price list*. Her coworker, a hairstylist, popped over, breaking the awkwardness, only she shooed him away that she was «fine». He was more who I wish I was talking to instead of someone whom regarded herself so above a potential client.
To the redheaded makeup «artist»: If you haven’t noticed, your colleagues are making money while your chair remains empty. Had I not been pressed for time, I would have gladly sat down in your colleague’s chair and dismissed your polarizing attitude. You couldn’t sell me this product nor your (dis)service if you threw a gimmicky statement out there!
While it’s a shame a seemingly quality establishment’s image has to be continually tarnished by one individual, Blush will never hold a candle to the likes of Natalie & Co., Face and Body Spa, or Pure Eco-​Wellness Salon and Spa.

I have been getting my hair done by Elliot for almost 6 year now, and I have never left disappointed. After a decade of searching for a stylist who cuts my hair how I want it, and asks the questions needed to be sure we are both on the same page, I found it here.

I came here looking for a shoulder-​length cut with ombré highlights, plenty of pictures in hand. First of all, I felt very out of place — it was kind of awkward, and was taken to a basement-​type room where a silent stylist worked on my hair.
Long story short, I spent way too much money regardless of the outcome. The outcome was a haircut WAY shorter than I was comfortable with, and the ombré highlights might as well have been non-​existent. For some reason the girl only put sparse highlights in the underneath layer of my hair so you couldn’t even see them. I was really upset about this and I’m definitely not going back.

Dana is an artist with hair. I have never had anyone style or cut my hair so well. It’s like visiting an old friend when you sit in her chair. They did my hair and make up for my wedding and everything was exactly as I described (and I am really bad at describing so there had to be a lot of mind reading going on). For normal cuts, correction cuts or special occasions I highly recommend.

I came here today for a Brazilian and eyebrow wax (which was free by the way, they offer free brows on your first visit which is great perk) and was really pleased with everything. The salon itself looks very upscale and fancy. I usually don’t like going to places like this because they make me feel ugly and un-​cool for some reason, idk. However, such feelings were immediately dashed as the girls at the front desk were very down to earth, friendly, and approachable. One of them offered me a variety of non-​alcoholic beverages, and quickly brought me a glass of water.
Angela started with my brows and did a great job! I don’t really ever get my brows done (I don’t even tweeze them) as they are naturally pretty neat, but they look great now. After that was over, she took me downstairs for the Brazilian. Now, I have been going to the same place back in Rochester for years, and was afraid to try a new place in my new town, but I really had nothing to worry about. The service took about 30 minutes, and was the least painful I’ve ever experienced. Angela is also super nice, and I really enjoyed chatting with her. If you’re nervous about getting waxed down there, it’s really not that bad. I definitely recommend coming here for your first time. The prices are fair and affordable for what you’re getting, so I will definitely be coming back. They offer hair and makeup, so I’ll probably try out their hair cuts next.

Since my waxing experiences with Angela have been so great, I recently went back to get my hair cut by Elliot and I am so happy that I did! From the second I sat down to when he walked me upstairs, he had my laughing and constantly engaged. I’m not someone who likes to just sit in silence when I’m getting my haircut, so I was glad he kept the conversation going, and with more than just talking about the weather. As soon as I sat down he was giving me advice on all of the things I had issues with, even without me telling him. He definitely knows what he is doing. After he was finished, he gave me great information about how to keep my thin/​wavy hair healthy and manageable and even suggested some products without being super pushy about getting them at the salon. Elliot was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks!

I am not sure what the other reviewers were talking about, but there has been the same hairdressers for years. Steve the owner is an amazing colorist (ahem Philadelphia Magazine voted the best). You’ll be hard pressed to get an appointment, but if you do, he sets the color up and puts it in the computer. He trains each stylist and colorist. I had him set up my color, and I have someone else do the touch-​up — not a bad deal, cannot complain! Dana and Lea are both amazing and detail-​orientated stylists. You will always get an amazing head massage when you get hair washed. I never had a bad color — never had a bad cut. The stylists are trained.
As for parking — yes the parking in the front is limited and thus people, you can park in the back lot.

Uh yeah right… This place is way over priced. Here’s my story: went there to get my hair highlighted BLONDE. $$$ 250 LATER Some how my hair turned out dark brown. I’m not one to complain but my family and friends encouraged me to do so the next day. I’ve had the owner call me to tell me it’s not their fault blah blah my hair is in bad shape. Save your money, do not bother with this place. I will say the staff was very friendly.

Hair Services: I only ever had bangs trims, but they always went well.
I normally went here for my Brazilian, and it was amazing. Wonderful, made you feel comfortable, and honestly not painful at all. Well worth the money to go here.
My only complaint is a VERY small parking lot shared by a few other stores on a busy main street.

Raul styled my curls exactly as I asked him to… I said «please cut for as much curl as possible…» and that’s exactly what he did. I’m in advertising so I’ve worked with a lot of stylists — and colorists… this young man is talented.

What a wonderful experience! I took the advice of a very nice person and decided to check this salon out. So happy I did! The atmosphere is wonderful, the stylists are top notch, brow grooming services are fantastic. It is dynamic and calming at the same time!
