My wife and i went in for a bite and the place was so jammed that even trying to find a table was problematic. When one was found waitted 30 minutes for a waittress but one never came over so we simply got up and left. It appeared the locals got the service where new faces were ignored. That is why this burb is full of white trash yuppie scum. They can have it with our blessings.

Good food, good atmosphere and good sevice. Our waitress took good care of our group of 15 people. Bit on the expensive side, $ 5 for cup of soup, $ 20 for 20 wings and a $ 13.50 veggie burger. Decent selection of draft beers. Definitely a place that we would visit again.

Unfortunately the reviews are accurate… we went there on a pretty busy night, but the service was incredibly slow(at one point we were forced to ask the hostess to help us find our server, who was nowhere to be found for most of the night) and the food was just average for the price.

The food is good. Recommend the burgers and the pot stickers. Nice bar. Good bartenders. Veteran servers are great less experienced ones stick out like a sore thumb. On the whole however a very pleasant stop.

Disappointing. In the pricy part of town, a draft beer will cost you $ 6 – 7. Draft beers had no real seasonal selections, sans some Pumpkin Ale in December. As for food, the menu boasts, «Voted best burger in Bucks». Whoever voted must’ve missed Burger King and McDonalds, for they are both better. I ordered the signature Continental burger, figuring it was the best bet. Instead, it’s was really bland. Hardly any taste… probably no seasoning. Did not seem fresh; patty may or may not have been frozen… too bland to seem fresh. French fries are just run of the mill bagged French fries. It comes in a metal pencil cup for some reason… to look fancy? I’m not sure what’s so hard about cutting a potato. Some bars you expect so-so food. But in a historic building and high price points, one should expect more.

Truly awful. When you call for a reservation and they call it «call ahead seating,» you know you are dealing with something different. When playing Christmas carols with tv’s showing football games, the atmosphere is surreal. But the food is ill conceived, maybe terrible. Over cooked, grisly prime rib was an insult to the animal. Inedible. The bread pudding is enough to induce a diabetic coma. But drizzling chocolate and some other sauce on it bordered on incredibly stupid. Dirty bathrooms topped the experience. The owners should 1. Fire the cook, 2. Plan a edible menu, and 3. Figure out if it is going to be terrible music or terrible tv. I just wasted $ 65.

We were a little disappointed that most of the food on the menu presented on Trip Advisor is not on their current menu. We had already decided what we wanted based on that menu. We checked their website and saw that menu was different but we were not sure which one was correct until we got there. What we wanted was definitely not on their current menu. We did manage to find alternatives. We started by sharing the Honey Almond Chicken Salad. The menu says its almond crusted chicken but I do think there were breadcrumbs mixed into almonds. The salad was good but the downside was that the chicken was definitely fried. I had the Chicken Bruschetta with extra veggies in place of the mashed potatoes. I have to say they gave me a lot of spinach which made me happy! This dish was very good but could use a little more chicken. My husband had the NY Strip steak and Tracy our amazing server was able to give him rice and spinach with his steak even though it did not come with it. We enjoyed our meals but hope that they expand their dinner menu to include the blackened tuna again, a few more veggies choices and a better choice of carbs. They no longer offer black rice or fingerling potatoes.

Wow… just had a very uncharacteristically awful(truly awful) lunch experience here. Is this place under new management? …or has the current management just stopped caring? The four of us arrived before noon for lunch today(Sunday). Seated right away and greeted by an unfriendly server. Whatever. Took our order(which by-the-way included a request for«very lightly» toasted bread on my turkey club) and then disappeared. The food took forever. There was another table of four looking a bit irritated by the fact their order hadn’t yet been taken. Feeling sorry for them and wanting to help, I suggested they leave. It was too late for us, but I thought they could at least get to the friendly safety of Vince’s Restaurant down the street and save themselves. When our food finally did arrive, it was cold. Or at least we thought it was cold… the unfriendly waitress explained to us that our food was not cold. So I guess that’s still an unresolved issue. But I’m pretty sure it was cold… and there were four of us and one of her and the four of us were all of the same opinion. Whatever. We did ask that she stop arguing with us and please bring us the check. We actually had somewhere to be and we were already late, having waited an extraordinary amount of time, for our cold food to arrive, served by our unfriendly waitress, which included by-the-way one turkey club on very over-toasted bread. The sandwich crumbled away with every bite I took. She delivered the check, without an apology. Without a word said, actually. So we left and I let the hostess know our experience was awful. Even though the dining room is small, the fact that customers were sitting around with no food in front of them I guess she missed. I’m very certain that will be our last bad experience at the Continental Tavern only because I will never go back. If many more people share similar experiences, I’m very certain there won’t be customers for much longer.

The food here is absolutely terrible. The wings were small, dry and had no flavor. They were among the worst I’ve ever had, and I would be shocked if they were not frozen. The burger was not cooked as ordered and was also underwhelming, at best. I don’t think that the prices were high per se, but they were high given the poor quality of the meal. Unfortunately, the service was not much better. The meal came out well before we made our way through the wings, we had to ask for water repeatedly, and the wait staff seemed to have a knack for abruptly interrupting conversation or otherwise making you feel uncomfortable. On a positive note, the fries were good and they had a relatively decent beer selection. I would return to have a beer on the porch, but if I got hungry, I’d rather run down the road to Wawa for what would certainly be a better meal. It’s a shame that the food is so terrible, because Continental is in a decent enough spot and could have potential.

We’ve been regulars at the Continental and have never been disappointed. Great food(burgers always a hit). Service is average but friendly.

An adorable little tavern, with great food, and friendly faces. If you come here, you’ll be met with good food, your thirst will be well quenched, and your spirits will be lifted. It’s very simple — not fancy — not complicated. Just a great little watering hole for locals, and travelers, alike!

Family friendly dining area. Food & service was very good. Live music started in the bar around 9p which you could enjoy in the dining area too. Great local hang out.

This place looks amazing and we ended up here as we were to meet some people there, although that didn’t work out. We decided to grab a bite to eat for dinner though. As amazing as the place looks the food was HORRIBLE! I had the buffalo chicken cheese steak meal, the chicken was soggy and seemed to be microwaved. It was BLAND and tasteless. My wife had a burger, it was much the same story. The wait staff was pretty hopeless too as I had to go and hunt up silverware, napkins etc. If you are looking for a tasty, enjoyable meal then skip this place and try somewhere else. Definitely will NOT be back.

Great lunch spot, cute atmosphere being right in down. The service was a bit slow but not too bad. We ordered the fried pickles which were SOGOOD and I am very pickey with fried pickles. My coworker and I ordered the Honey Almond Chicken Ceasar salad. I liked it but the chicken breading felt fake and weirdly fried. I would have liked it better if it were grilled. I would go back for happy hour night as I’ve heard it gets a healthy crown of regulars.

Came on the 4th of July. The manager on is a young guy I just heard mocking one of the patrons here. The food that my wife received was cold and undercooked. Idk maybe this is there holiday menu of garbage. I use to love coming here but if this is the guy you put in charge and let’s this type of food leave the kitchen. What are you doing !! Also I hate the fact that I just payed 50 $ for two frozen hamburgers. Yea best in bucks my ass. !!!

I went there today around 1 p.m. for lunch with my father and sister, and it was actually the first time I’ve visited Yardley. My father and I both got beers and we ordered the Calamari which was good, but the size of the individual calamari was kind of sad and small. We all got burgers and I got the one with bacon & Gorgonzola with fries. The fries were so good and addicting, but the burger was a little overwhelming after awhile the cheese was very heavy combined with the bacon. I was only able to eat about half of the burger. Overall not a bad place to stop and have lunch or just grab a beer. Loved the ambiance of the place very rustic!

If it weren’t for the burgers I’d give the lowest score possible. I live in the boro so I’ve been here many many times. I go for the convenience and the burgers. I also love that they have gluten free buns now. The salads are pretty good too. Unfortunately, the service is almost always terrible. Once in a while the service is at least average but more often than not, I have to resign myself to the fact that service is not their specialty. This extends to management as well. There is no point in complaining to a manager about poor service. We did this once and he told us «not to go anywhere» while he took care of it. He did nothing, literally, her never came back to the table. Another time my friend pointed out to the server that there was very little vegetable or meat in the pot pie, which was pricey. She said that’s the way it is and made no offer to take it back, get him something else or take it off the check. That particular night our experience was worsened by a server and the(same) manager who made it very obvious that they wanted us to leave by discussing it very loudly in the dining room. Every once in a while when I really want a good burger, but really don’t feel like traveling far, I give in and go here. Otherwise I’d rather skip it entirely.

I really miss their real turkey burgers. Nothing else compares. Please bring it back! The Contav fries are yummy with old bay cheddar sauce, and beer cider and selection improved. Get ready for a pricey bill though compared to the quality.($ 60+ for sandwiches and beers is normal) Good spot for a visit when in the Boro. The regular burgers are good too. The chicken salad wrap is a nice change(since turkey burgers aren’t good anymore) Parking is tight but we park down the street. Servers are friendly. Atmosphere is great esp. upstairs. Check out the local dug up artifacts! Love the history.

Would have given this place a 1 if my crab cake wasn’t good. THEWINGSAREHORRIBLE! By far the driest wings I have ever had in my whole life!!! Boyfriend ordered a buffalo chicken cheese steak and it was just average for what he paid. We got two sandwhiches and no alcohol and paid over $ 50 bucks for this meal. Save your money– you can get better food at a diner.

This place seems to be in trouble. It has certainly gone downhill since the last time I’ve been here. First of all, the burger, which is touted on the menu as «the best in Bucks County» came on a stale bun and was cooked medium, not medium rare, as requested. The onions were not caramalized, but simply briefly sautéed. The mushrooms did not seem fresh. The service was definitely slow. After we received our meal, I asked for a second glass of wine. It did not arrive for at least 20 minutes, at which I was almost done with my meal. I felt sorry for the people who arrived after us. I noticed two couples that were ignored by staff for quite a while. One woman had to flag down a food runner to ask him who their server was. There seems to be a staff shortage, for sure. My recommendation: try The Vault down the street!
