Devon John Photography

Devon is, in one word, amazing. Her perspective is incredible, the photos are unique without being gimmicky and most importantly, she is so much fun and so easy to work with. She managed to capture moments in such a fun way, and every single person who has seen our album has said that they are the best wedding photos they have ever seen. Devon knows how to manage the event without being bossy, and every member of my wedding party loved what she did and how she interacted with us. I could not have asked for better photos of my wedding, nor a better person to work with.

Of all the hundreds of decisions involved in planning my wedding, choosing Devon was the easiest, and the one that I continue to be thankful for nearly every day. The day of the wedding Devon was a calming force: super relaxed, able to herd my raucous bridal party, and always having an answer to my questions. Every moment of the wedding was captured, from extended family portraits to a quiet moment shared between my husband and I at the reception; yet Devon and her team felt nearly invisible– never pushy, always just capturing the event happening around them.
I’m super proud of my wedding pictures, mostly because they capture exactly how I felt on that day– joyous, excited, filled with love for everyone around me. I don’t know that anyone but Devon would have been able to capture that feeling. I know I’m still going to be in love with these pictures when I’m old and grey. I can’t recommend Devon enough.

Devon was all we could of asked for in a photographer; professional, engaging, and her laid back nature and free form shooting really put our wedding party at ease. My husband was typical of most grooms in that he didn’t want to spend hours on end posing for shots; Devon was respectful of that and worked in some amazing photos in the hour and ½ before our ceremony started. Devon and her assistant Bonnie were in the background during our ceremony and reception in the best way possible; not at all intrusive to the point that we forgot we were being photographed! In my opinion, that was a great thing!

Devon photographed my newborn son and family just recently. Words cannot express how wonderful the pictures turned out! Devon is so talented and truly loves what she does. Photography is her passion and it shows. She is very responsive, professional, creative and hard working. She makes you feel comfortable when taking photographs and takes her time with you (and a crying baby). You never feel rushed or pressured. I highly recommend Devon John Photography and I already have her booked for my wedding in June. I cannot wait to work with Devon again because I trust that the photos will be amazing.
