I love coming to the Edgewood Café. Good food, good prices, and especially good wait staff. They serve a great breakfast, and keep it simple which I like. I love the farm house look of the building on the inside. The staff though is just superb. I’ve never gone without having an absolutely great server. Just recently I had Sean(Maybe Shawn?) and he couldn’t have been better. He even ran some to-go food out; seriously above and beyond typical service. A great breakfast spot.

This is my first time eating here and I heard the food was great! I came here for breakfast with my girlfriend and yea… The service was HORRIBLE. We got sat and our waitress took our order. We ordered a omelette and a French toast, and we waited 35 minutes for our food. Finally our waitress came up to us and let us know she forget to put our order in. She also didn’t ask us if we wanted a refill on our drinks(both our drinks were empty). About 15 minutes later we got food from a different waitress and our refill from another waitress. No one asked us if our food was good or anything at all. However the food was good… Won’t be returning.

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to eat here. Service is super slow and God forbid they check back on you. An hour and a half for 2 people for lunch. The food is ok.

Great local eating spot. Like a diner, or the closest thing Yardley has to a diner. Love eating breakfast here. Wish they had a bigger space! All around great local place.

Quaint corner café with available parking. Rapid service for me at breakfast time(albeit on a weekday late morning). I went straight for my staple(two scrambled eggs with hash browns and rye toast). The meal was satisfyingly tasty and appropriately portioned. I’ve bookmarked this spot for a possible return visit with my wife.

The Breakfast is good. I have gone there 3 x’s but everytime I go I am reminded that service is very slow & when you have a toddler that doesn’t work. If it was just me and my husband I would come back but with a child and the slow service it’s not worth it to me.

Tried it again — still horrible. Long wait, poor service, bad attitudes, diner food. The people who write the good reviews must be relatives! Lose the TV!!!

Stopped in breakfast before a long bike ride. I entered the café to see about getting seated outside and had to wait for the waitress staff to finish their personal conversation before being acknowledged. We chose to sit in the outdoor seating as the location of the café is situated on a cute corner. We were seated quickly and our drinks orders were brought out in a timely fashion. Our breakfast order was taken and our waitress hadn’t returned to offer a refill of our coffees in the meantime. We waited patiently thinking that we were forgotten about. It did feel like a good amount of time had passed by, but I wasn’t looking at a clock. I looked through the windows and it appeared that the employees were still grouped together and chatting. Knowing that the place was not real busy, I was taken back that the meal was not hot when brought out. I’m not one to complain about a meal so I dealt with eating cold eggs. I would like to mention that the coffee was very good. Other than the service not being great and the food par, Unilocal’s 3 out of 5 stars seems to be consistent with what we received. I think this café could do much better though.

So I’m gonna give this place five stars. One its in the middle of like no offense, first world problems pa. And I say that with love. But this place is awesome. Really good food for the prices, I live in center city and I can’t get this kind of quality food and service for these prices. But haha in Yardley pa you expect that. So Edgewood café I will give you those five stars because I think you guys do amazing compared to a lot of other places! Your tuna melts are great! French fries are out of this world! And since my friend and I were nice to our servers it seems like we got really fast awesome service! So keep it up!!!

Good morning, I usually don’t complain about being waited on at all. Unfortunately, I was not waited on at this restaurant. The food was cold by the time it got to the table. All tables that were open were dirty when we first arrived but they told us to take a seat anyway. Tables did not have any silverware or condiments. I ordered French toast and there was no syrup. When asked for syrup, the waiter said he would bring it out but we never saw him again. I asked for a milk at the beginning of the dining experience but never received it. After being there for over 30 minutes, we were never asked if we needed anything else, and never got out check until going up to ask for it. The waiter’s response was«my bad». There were no smiling faces or friendly words when dining at this restaurant. This is about the third time I have been to this restaurant and the service has been consistently lacking. After three tries, I have definitely made the decision to never come back which is a shame because it is conveniently located near me. I wish I could give 0 stars.

First time eating here with friends. The stuffed French toast was absolutely delicious(my friend shared). I got the Greek omelet and it was cooked to perfection. The service was fast and friendly and you can’t beat the price. Good amount of parking. Cute atmosphere.

Let me start by saying I have NEVER written a bad review ever for anything. I have been here a few times and it’s been okay. Today however was horrible. We ordered two simple breakfasts, two eggs over easy and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. After 25 minutes our breakfast comes and looks like pure slop and what was leftover at the end of their shift. My sons eggs were so overdone not even edible. Mine was equally as overdone but I ate it. After me getting up and going to ask our waiter for new eggs since he has not even once returned to our table to refill any beverage or ask how things were. It takes another ten minutes for our food to arrive so as we sit there with all cold foul food the other waiter on brought us our check and said rudely your total is on the back. To which I said my son still has not received his breakfast to which he said OH. I will not be returning here EVER. I’m literally sitting in the restaurant writing this as we sit here still with empty drinks. Disgusting and inexcusable!

I am always looking for somewhere different to have lunch and decided one afternoon to stop at the Edgewood Café. It is a quaint place on Stony Hill Rd in Lower Makefield, Pa. It tries to have that Bucks County rustic look and does get away with it. As I entered at around 2pm — the end of lunch time– I noticed it still had a good crowd enjoying lunch. Now I was escorted to a booth for 2 which was nicely located by a window. Not being typical I decided that I would like an omelette; which was still being offered until 3pm. The nice waitress took my order of a ham & cheese omelette(a basic) with a side of sausage links and a Pepsi for my beverage. For being so late in the afternoon for an omelette(not by my standards) it was very delicious. The potatoes that accompanied the omelette were tastey and cook just right. The only surprise was when I got the bill of fare. I was shocked to see that this simple lunch delight cost me $ 14.00. Now I was not one to complain because the meal was very good BUT I am one who will probably never go back for an omelette again. For that much money I could have gotten a full meal of say Chicken Parm at places that have lunch specials of such. For that reason I can only give a 3 star rating. I would advise that I could give the Edgewood to review their breakfast food pricing. Because $ 14.00 for eggs and sausage is very extreme.

Had breakfast for Father’s Day here with my husband, toddler, and I. We got there and ended up first on their wait list and got to watch tables sit vacant and dirty for a bit before being cleaned. We just moved from Hatboro and are used to the incredible service at Daddypops where tables are changed over very quickly by the much older waitstaff. The younger waitstaff here seemed to not know what they were doing at times. So, we got our table and they took our drink and breakfast order quickly. Breakfast was a bit greasy but decent. After they had set breakfast on the table though, they never came back. No water refills, offers of more coffee, not even to see if we were done! I had to go to the counter and ask for a box and the check. This was especially vexing because we were at a seat right by the counter! I am not sure if we will be back. Another ten mins north and we can go to Mosch and Itztys(I think that’s the name) in Newtown which was phenomenal in good and service.

It’s a pretty good place for a home style breakfast. The menu is full traditional breakfast items and some new takes on classics. The pricing is great for the amount of food that is served. I had the special of cinnamon roll pancakes. They were great, with a cream cheese icing that wasn’t too sweet and some kind of cinnamon syrup. The pancakes themselves were on the heavy side. I tried some of my boyfriends side of potatoes. They were better than most of the places that serve breakfast for double the price. Super favorable with aggressive seasoning. Service did take a while, both for the food to come out and for me to get the check. My boyfriend actually had to walk up and ask a waitress to get us the check, all three were standing behind the counter.

Favorite breakfast/brunch spot in the area. Food is good, staff is good, wait is never long even if its very crowded. Definitely recommend the cream chipped beef!

Another breakfast meeting and they seem to be doing ok. Omelets were fine and service good. Only took them a year to get their act together.

Another Café that dont disappoint. When it comes to a great breakfast! The service was excellent, and so was the food. Got the creamed chipped beef with home fries. Definitely delicious and give you a lot, the coffee is good. Nice and rich. The Waitress always comes back to the table to see If you need refill on coffee or anything esle. Prices are responsible as well. Will be back again. Look forward to waiting for a seat if you go on a weekend. It’s always busy. But definitely worth the wait. Could use some more seats. And has alittle cold draft inside if the temps are cold outside. So might not want to sit by the door when having a bite to eat unless you want to keep a coat on.

Mixed Review. My husband and I had dinner there when they first opened and it was all happy and fast. Have been back 4 times for breakfast and it is so inconsistent. One time the service fast, the food was hot and yummy. The next couple times service was slow, we weren’t in a rush… the food was pretty good. But the last time we went the seat we were put at the sun was right in our faces and When I asked about it, the waitress said, «oh that’s just where the sun comes in thsi time of day». and then the owner/manager sat with the table behind us(friends of her”s?) and told them how sick she has been but has pushed through, working every day at the restaurant even though she had the flu! Seriously!!! NOONE wants to hear that. I certainly did not and I will not be back there any time soon. It’s too bad it took one bad visit to spoil it

What for decades had been a dilapidated ramshackle old corner at Langhorne-Yardley Road and Stony Hill Road has been nicely renovated into a small commercial complex with Edgewood Café anchoring the intersection. The architect and builder did a very good job. The property is now very attractive. The Café feels both old and new. Narrow plank wood floor and exposed beam high ceiling provide a light airiness, while the dark tones of the booths offer a sense of colonial times. I sat at the counter with several other guys and had a nice overview of the operation. The breakfast menu is two pages with an adequate variety of options and flexibility. My wait person suggested that the fancy egg dishes were very good, but I opted for a full stack of French Toast and a mug of coffee. A note said the toast could be made, «crunchy,» so I asked about that. Breading with crushed Captain Krunch. Maybe next time. My breakfast arrived a few minutes later on a large oval plate, dusted with powdered sugar, and a small dish of butter on the side. The syrup was brought up from under the counter, and had a thick pour. Not maple, but decent. The menu describes the dish as a «Texas» slice of bread. Not sure as I did not measure it, but perhaps the extra width required more time in the egg bowl to assure full saturation, as the middle was slightly dry. Not a serious shortcoming and easily corrected. My coffee mug was refilled thrice, and it was a good commercial blend from a Bunn drip. One piece of advice I would offer is that the servers smile more. They are helpful and efficient, but they put off a vibe that they are not comfortable in their jobs. Perhaps, they are naturally shy young women, but learning to act like a wait person will improve their job approval, and tips. That is something management can talk to them about, and tell them to act more relaxed and try to have some fun while being professional. PS. A sign at the back door/main entrance would be a big help for newcomers, as it is not obvious where the café is, nor how to enter from the parking lot.
