Been here a couple of times and each time the service gets better and better. Everyone here in Maine is just so friendly in the first place, but when you go to dinner and find that you know everyone there through family and/or friend relations, well that just awkwardly amusing. I absolutely love it. We all got apps, the usually edamame, miso soup, etc. etc. then add the wasabi shrimp shumai, eggplant in peanut sauce, veggie tempura, and a few other interesting concoctions; oh, do you have a group fighting for the last bite. I highly recommend checking out the app menu, there are some fun fusions that were quite delicious. As for our main dishes, I got the sushi maki combo: dish B. It was good, safe and exactly what I wanted. Everyone else got the BOWLS. If you haven’t had a Bim bowl, you’re missing out. GETONENEXTTIME. I am.

Great sushi! A bit on the pricey side for the special rolls. This or King of the Roll in Portland are my go-to sushi spots!

Very good Bi Bim Bap. Solid sushi in this strip mall location and right down the street from NYA.

This is one of our favorite restaurants! It’s location to work makes it particularly ideal for us. I have a craving for sushi usually once a week or at the very least every couple of weeks. The sushi here is always fresh! I love the Amazing Roll and the Red Dragon roll. I usually start with edemame and miso soup. These are average but with the cold weather lately really warm me up. The hubby usually gets a noodle bowl of some sort. He likes the spicy ramen. The service on Thursdays is always good. The server has a good memory and is a sweet little lady. Other nights the service has been a little lacking but it’s usually busy and they only have one server so we understand it’s not the servers fault. I don’t think the sushi chef ever takes a day off. Poor guy. Highly recommend!!!

Tried Chopsticks for the first time on New Years Eve. I called about 630pm to confirm we didn’t need reservations and the woman said that it had been dead since 6. We arrived at 8pm and were sat by the window. There were probably 5 other couples there, but it didn’t appear to be slammed. Before ordering, I asked multiple questions about the menu including if they had local crab(answer was no) or if they had a less sweet martini(answer also no, and was also told that lychee vodka is very hard to find, so they didn’t have it even though it was on the menu). I stuck with water, green tea, spicy tuna maki, and a cuke /avo maki. It took about 45 minutes to get the first round of plates and when I kept asking about the status of the remaining items, I was told the sushi chef was slammed and that he never gets a day off. It was about another 20 minutes until I got my last plate of sushi and at that point I just wanted to leave. Just as I was finishing up and wanted to leave, the waitress comes over and tells us her life story, very loudly, for about 15 minutes. Told us everything about how she hates her other job and just needs medical insurance to treat her shingles. It was so very inappropriate and none of my uncomfortable gestures got her to stop and leave. Finally we paid and it was much more expensive than I felt it should have been. Terrible experience, will never go back.

Have only done take-out. The food is delicious and the service is quick. We eat from here all the time!

The drinks are amazing. Ordered a blueberry and ginger concoction and a coconut delight. The sushi was unreal. It was some of the best sushi I have EVER had. I have had dreams about this sushi. It is a little pricey, but it’s so good. It’s so good. Seriously. I feel like words won’t do it justice. LOVE the jalapeño roll and the amazing roll and the dynamite roll.

Love the food, sushi is wonderful. Had a bad experience with the waitress who swiped our credit card for several tables. Found multiple charges on our credit card statement for very high amounts for the same night. Dispute took months to resolve with the merchant — they did not want to resolve, despite the receipts the credit card company requested showing different signatures. If you go, pay cash. The wait staff is dishonest, but the food is good!

My boyfriend and I used to eat here all the time because the sushi is great. However, since they remodeled, it just isn’t the same. The place feels cramped and awkward(even though there aren’t ever many people there) and the service has gone downhill. We were mistakenly served a roll with crab in it even after I had told the waitress I was allergic to shellfish. Being a waitress myself, I am very forgiving of service failures, however not only did she serve me something that could have killed me, she put it on our bill too! Needless to say, if I ever want sushi now, we order take out.

Only one review?! Unbelievable considering this place is absolutely delicious! I had the spicy scallop and the tuna tempura rolls and they were both incredible. Next time, I’d probably just go with the tuna tempura but the spicy scallop was still good. Only thing I’m not too pleased about is the price but this doesn’t have to be a daily habit… though I wish it were!
