Checked in. Sat in waiting room for maybe 7 minutes. Got a room. Sat in room for maybe another 7 minutes. Saw the doctor (Dr. Pierce). Very professional. Made me feel very comfortable. In and out. No muss, no fuss. Awesome.

Dr. Aiken has put every single member of my family at risk for serious harm, and I strongly believe that his nonchalant negligence is largely responsible for the premature death of my mother. She went in to see him because she was feeling pain in her throat, which he basically laughed off as nothing, and it turned out to be cancer spreading in her body, which eventually killed her. It is especially unforgivable that he did not even consider that it could be something serious, as she had already had cancer of the same type not long before that appointment.
A few years before, my father requested blood tests that detect cancer early, and Dr. Aiken discouraged him from getting the tests. Fortunately, my father persisted, and those exact tests eventually did detect his cancer early enough to save his life — no thanks to Dr. Aiken.
My sister went to see him for tick bites she was concerned about, considering the prevalence of Lyme disease, and she was basically laughed out of the office, with nothing done to make sure that she was not infected.
My brother and I were both prescribed very serious anti-​depression medication after extremely short, curt visits with Dr. Aiken to discuss our anxiety issues. My brother took the medication, and he has experienced many negative side effects. I did not take it, and have since improved my state of mind through the use of yoga and other natural remedies. It sickens me that I could have had my natural body chemistry tampered with unnecessarily, probably because Dr. Aiken has some kind of deal with the pharmaceutical company making the drug, though I don’t know that for sure.
My family has now, after decades with Intermed, finally changed doctors, and if you depend on Dr. Aiken for potentially life-​saving or live-​altering medical guidance — DON’T.

Today was my first visit to Intermed as a patient. My son’s pediatrician is located here as well so I’ve visited plenty of times in the last year. My experience with the pediatrician has been nothing short of amazing. They are always on time for appointments. The staff, doctors, and nurses are fantastic-​helpful, caring, and smart. We can always get in the same day for sick visits and the on-​call service after hours always returns calls in a timely manner.
My experience as a patient today was good. The only downside was the wait. I scheduled this appointment in the middle of a work day because it was a well visit and I figured it would be quick. I waited for 45 minutes for a 15 minute appointment. Once I was brought into the room, everyone was very apologetic for the wait. The doctor was great and I’m ultimately happy that I chose this practice. I wasn’t thrilled about the 45 minute wait. I guess next time I will know to bring my laptop and work in the waiting room.
