UNCLE ROY’S IS AWESOME!
I needed my son’s guitar restrung and we’d taken it to another local music store that did repairs. The owner told me that he needed other «repairs» that made no sense and just putting on new strings was going to be $ 50! I didn’t feel comfortable with the other repairs he insisted on doing either. He was rude and defensive when I asked questions. The guitar was a gift from his deceased father and it meant a great deal to my son and this guy told him it was «junk» and he should buy one from him.
I was referred to Uncle ROY’S and he was awesome! So kind, honest and respectful to us and the meaning of the guitar to my son. It was done in 2 day’s, it cost under $ 20, he gave him some cool picks to use and it was an overall great experience. I totally recommend this place!

In this little musical haven you will get friendly and experienced customer service. If they don’t have it, they can get it. My son has been taking guitar and drum lessons with Ray for many years and he loves it. Ray is a patient and knowledgeable teacher, and makes learning a lot of fun.

My son bought the first guitar they ever sold back when they were open only for a short while. Have always enjoyed shopping there, especially after they moved to the larger location downtown. They were also quite uninterested in bad-​talking their competition in town when I mentioned some less-​than-​positive experiences we had there. That told me that this was a different kind of store than the usual.

I bought My first 12 string guitar from the fellas over at Uncle Roy’s. The. Professionalism, helpfulness, and approachability is what made me go back to Uncle Roy’s for all my guitar needs. Wayne is very knowledgeable about what he sells, and can answer any question you can throw at him. Both Ray and Wayne helped teach me basic guitar care, even simple things like how to re-​string properly.
I wished I still lived in the area so I could give them ALL my business.

I was very disappointed today when I asked you to teach my kid the guitar. There was no evaluation process. There was just your past bias. It must be nice in today’s economy in a small town to turn away paying customers just because you don’t want to do something. You wouldn’t even recommend someone. You said all young children would fail because it became to much work. Wait until they are atleast 12. You should know that not all kids are the same. I will never recommend your store to anyone. I will tell everyone to make the trip to Lakewood or Tacoma.

I have know the owners of Uncle Roy’s for years. Not only do they run a great shop but they give back to the community and that is everything you could hope for from a small business owner. Do your self a favor and go check them out!
