I continue to love coming here. I like that these dentists are young(ish) and take the time to explain stuff to me. The gal at the front desk has always been incredibly nice and accommodating. I feel like dentists can be really hit and miss and I have never bothered reviewing a dentist before, but I feel like when you find a good one you’ve got to stick with them and tell every one you know about them! I have a hard time getting in for regular visits, but I never feel talked down to if I miss a visit(or two haha).

My wife & I have been patients of Yelm Dental for over 20 years starting with Dr Kay, who has since retired. The business is now operated by Drs. Smith and Blackner. The office staff, dental technicians and dentists all go the extra mile to ensure your experience is as painless and stress-free as possible. They are totally professional and they use the latest technology like 3D imaging and can even create a porcelain crown in minutes. We would not hesitate to recommend Yelm Dental to our family & friends. PS We are not affiliated with Yelm Dental in any way other than as happy customers.

I’m surprised to see the positive reviews. After never having any issues with my oral hygiene, not even a cavity, I moved here and needed my 6 month check up. I chose this place and it was the worst dental experience ever. The hygienist told me my teeth were filthy and had tons of build up and calculus? «It’s like barnacles» on them. They made a big production trying to scrape the grossness away but they«just couldn’t because they didn’t have enough time because they were so bad.» I brush and floss twice a day and have amazing teeth. Seriously. The dentist came in(older guy) and basically said my teeth were all very close to rotting out and suggested this expensive toothpaste and some other treatments, and he just looked disgusted when I said I would have to see if it was in the budget. I cried when I left. I’ve never been so embarrassed, especially at the dentist! My next check up was at a different dentist in town. He complimented me on my fantastic teeth and the hygienist said she was pretty sure I had some of the cleanest teeth she had seen come through. Oh, and those«barnacles» on my molars that these guys couldn’t get off? It was left over CEMENTFROMWHEN I HADBRACES. They couldn’t believe that anybody with any dentistry knowledge could’ve confused the two. This was back in 2010. It’s now 2015 and none of my teeth have rotted out. I haven’t even had a cavity!

I have been going to this office for 15 years and they are the best dentist in town! The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to make you comfortable. They are honest and care, I won’t go anywhere else!

I had my bottom wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Smith. I was not sedated & the procedure went so smoothly. It took an hour at the most and was virtually painless. I’ve been going to Yelm Dental for over 2 years. I take my kids here for cleanings. They are such a polite staff, they remember your face and are so personable.

I was lucky enough to have the Army mess up on my detal appointment so I was referred to a civilian dentist! I only had a few minutes to find a good dentist via Unilocal and so far this place is great. Its clean, people are friendly, and they are professional. I just hope the dental is just as good… update just left and I had to hug them when I was done! They were nothing short of amazing. They were one of the top dentist I have ever been to. I hope the Army screws up again and sends me off post to yelm dental.

This place was clean and kid friendly. The staff were very very nice. They were running late and gave us a Starbucks gift certificate to make up for it. The only issue I have with this place is the way it’s set up. I’ve never been to a dentist that was all open the way this one is. Leaving no from for patient confidentiality which isn’t a huge deal with dental. I also don’t like that I had to leave my daughter alone to get an X-ray. Not sure why they didnt allow me to just wear an led vest so I could stay with her. The dentist is scary even for adults, but especially for kids and on their first visit. So she was scared and wouldn’t sit still which made the process harder.
