Claustrophobia educing pizza place on a residential street. There are 2 entrances, one for a dining room and one for the pizzeria. I only went into the pizzeria, but it was tiny. There is one table with bench seating, but besides that it comfortably fits 2 – 3 customers. Someday I’ll get over the crippling social anxiety, but not just yet. I’ve actually passed by this area quite a bit, but never stopped in. It’s always busy and too far to walk, so normally I just go elsewhere. I’ve been meaning to try it though and decided to just go for it. The pizza is really good. I’m definitely going to go back. I grabbed a pepperoni slice and a buffalo chicken slice. The pepperoni slice is completely covered, a little greasy, but damn good. The buffalo chicken was absolutely phenomenal. It’s a strange little spot, but totally worth a look.

Rude people and won’t deliver to South Yonkers. Guess they think they’re a high class restaurant. Taking my business and everyone else that I go there to purchase food for somewhere else.

Came here on Friday May 13, OMG is this place off the beaten path, probably easier to find a needle in the hay stack & getting to Mojave Desert. This is a very residential area of Yonkers that is surrounded by industrial area, street parking, very narrow two way streets, I was ready to go home, but decided to look for parking — enough said. Another OMG moment — what a dive, good grief Charlie Brown! The host/waiter could be a little bit more friendlier & smile for once In any case, there were twelve of us — reservation for nine but some straggling souls show up also. They accommodated all of us at one big round table. According to our groups organizer this place came highly recommended, we were also warned that the portions were large — we shall see Bread came out, nice warm & crusty, flavorful. We ordered house salad for the table — one massive plate piled high showed up. There was enough salad for all twelve & then some. The salad was fresh, crispy & the house dressing was just awesome. I ordered mussels in wine sauce & my wife ordered eggplant parmigiana which came highly recommended, the individual next to me ordered a pasta dish & that is all that I remember The eggplant was delish, my mussels(New Zealand aka green mussels) were also delish, the pasta was amazing. Every one raved about their dishes. This place is small so on weekends highly recommend making reservations. Needless to say shall return, if I could find this place again. If you want a good home cooked Italian meal, this is the place. Shhhhhh — keep it a secret

I order from A&V at least one to 3x a week… The food is reasonably priced… and when they get it right, they get it right… But i am allergic to mushrooms…3 times that i ordered Chicken Marsala with no mushrooms it came loaded with them!!! Not the order takers fault… The dub says no mushrooms… It is now 2 hours since the original meal was delivered… Everyone in my house has eaten except me… The bad thing here is i am a waitress… i live by the motto”” you can forgive bad food… but you can never forgive bad service” …So minimally I pend $ 80– $ 240 a week at this restaurant… So done… I will be giving my hard earned money to Carlos

While rehabbing a house in the neighborhood, one of my workmates placed a fairly large order that was supposed to be delivered but I guess these guys pick and choose where/who they deliver too. Fine. My partner and I drove over to pick up the order and while there decided to grab a few items for ourselves(chicken cutlet/spinach calzone and a small anti pasta salad) The food smelled absolutely amazing on the ride back. The calzone was tasty and my salad was out of this world good. FRESH! Roasted red pepper, huge servings of cheese(parmesan, fresh mozz and provolone(?)) I wish they had put more lettuce in the container to cut the richness of the cheese. There were literally about 15 leafs of greens in the entire salad. Dressing was light and already tossed in to the salad. 3 cheese pizzas, 2 half trays(chicken parm; broccoli) = $ 85 Anti pasta salad(no tomatoes or cucumber) & calzone = $ 11.50 Street parking. Counter guys were fine. They do deliver as we saw the delivery going back and forth quite frequently during the 20 or so minutes we were there. Deliver seems to only be within a block to two radius.

The perfect place for a quick during the week dinner or a Friday or Saturday date night. I lived in the neighborhood for years and this was a go to place for my family.(When mom didn’t feel like cooking) I actually got engaged at the window table. Gina the mother is the waitress, her sons are the bus boys, & Pino the father is the chef. It is nice to go to a true«Family owned» restaurant. The portions are huge & the price is great. THEFOODISDELICIOUS. I have had almost everything but below are my favorites. My Recommendations. Just ask Gina if you don’t see it, they will probably make it. Appetizer-A MUST-house salad(roasted peppers, mozz, provolone, olives…)with house dressing Pasta-Pasta Portofino or Linguini garlic & oil Entrée-Chicken Rollantine, Chicken Ernestos, or the pork chops with Hot vinegar peppers Side-ziti garlic & oil For the price you won’t be disappointed.

This place has to be the best thing about living in Yonkers. The pies, pastas, and garlic bread are off the hook. The garlic bread is no joke though, ensure you really like garlic. The staff is great, prices very low, and delivery is always quick. I would give them a five, except the pasta fagioli wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. Eat here-tell your friends.

These guys are too f’n lazy to deliver. I called at 8:45 and they said they were through for the day. I guess they made enough money today so they can choose who and when to deliver to. They came highly recommended but I think from now on I’ll go somewhere else!!! Fagetaboutit!!!

1st time I order from this place because my BF and I were in the mood for a quick dinner: pizza! My brother has told me great things about this place. Upon that being said, it was all okay. #1 — Every website shows that their large cheese pizza is $ 10 According to the delivery guy it is $ 11 #2 — Every website shows that it’s free delivery with a minimum purchase of $ 10 According to the delivery guy delivery is $ 1…to top this off we literally live 2 blocks away from them. We just thought«hey free delivery, why not?» plus it is a cold night and our 16 month old was being fairly crabby. #3 — We expected quick delivery but it came an hour later. I guess we should have order Dominos since it’s the same time frame. Also, upon calling on the status of the large pizza, the guy over the phone had an attitude. Weird… So many good reviews from others, so why did we have the NOTSOGREATONE? I am disappointed. The pizza is good. Somewhat burnt on the bottom and the crust too. This sucks… I am sorry for the 2 stars but I literally have had better and was not satisfied with any of the service whatsoever.

We have this local pizza shop in the area and today I decided to call them and give them a shot for delivery. Just ordered a large cheese pie –no extras.($ 12) What a great deal! 20 – 30 mins later the delivery guy was at my door! I was very impressed with how fast they delivered! My pizza was delicious. I would have to say it tasted very fresh and had a lot of cheese. My son loved it as well. I am mad I didn’t order sooner from them. Definitely looking forward to ordering more from here! Will be ordering different things to try out their pastas.

We found this place on Unilocal on a road trip from Washington DC to Maine. We wanted to stop for«New York Pizza» without having to go into the city. A&V just happened to be on our route. We were so impressed… Authentic. Comforting. And so delicious! We shared the supreme style A&V Special Pizza with various meats, red peppers, tomato, and onions. Then we asked the owner what pasta we should try and she immediately stated the Penne Alla Vodka. It was so creamy and flavorful! Overall we had an amazing experience. You drive up a hill to this little neighborhood joint, and find a hidden gem with classic Italian comfort food and friendly service.

My family has been ordering A&V for years. Their pizza is the best in Yonkers and their entrees are hefty portions that pack in the flavor. My favorite is the chicken parmesan. The take-out pizzeria is pretty quick and the quaint restaurant on the right side is great for a date or family dinner. A&V is very consistent.

Small neighborhood Italian restaurant with great food. My family’s favorite are their pizzas, pork chops with vinegar and peppers, and their clams. Once in a while we try out their other dishes and they are all so good. The grilled salmon is cooked just right and very flavorful, their veal sorrentino is also yummy. Service is also very friendly and nice, they treat you like family.

I’m born and raised in New York City who would’ve known that I’d find the best pizza ever in Yonkers! Been their loyal customer for 20 years, they have even catered events for me! All their food is top quality and delicious. Their prices are are surprisingly modest considering the amazingly great taste and high quality of their food! My fav is the lasagna pizza! I always bring my family and friends there and everyone loves it! Owner is a pleasure to deal with and so are his employees, all polite and friendly. Definitely a must try place if you’re ever in the area!
