Great bacon cheeseburger and fries. Prices are good. They are open for delivery at 8 am, so that’s a plus for anyone not in the mood to cook breakfast. Quite the selection on the menu — it’s hard to choose.

Best place for Lunch, Breakfast, Dinner, Or even a treat for anytime of the day. I eat here all the time.

Really nice place, clean, organized, and has a classic dinner look to it. I came here in a Friday afternoon around 4:30 not busy at all. I really enjoyed there cheesecake, I heard there known for breakfast but idk. Well all in all I would make this a usually joint to come back to.

Great place for breakfast every so often. I took my mother in law here this past week end. The restaurant was clean, the servers were nice, and the food good.
The only thing that needs a slight improvement is house salsa. I am a fan but it’s «hotness» overpowers the food you are eating. It just needs to be a little less.

I have no complaints. I am a regular and I am always satisfied. I love their breakfast platters and especially the coffee. The lunch and dinner menus are also great. As far as the staff, I would say they are the most attentive, nicest, people I have ever encountered. This is a great addition to the historical downtown Yonkers area.

I first tried Paxos through GrubHub. I ordered a pastrami panini and some appetizers. The food was good for the price and the delivery woman was nice.
Late morning on a beautiful Sunday, I came here with my cousin and three children. We wanted to sit outside so I went in and asked a waitress if we could seat ourselves. She just kinda shrugged, not a good sign. We sat ourselves at a table with some nice shade. A few minutes later a girl came and gave us menus and left right away. We chose our selections and waited. And waited. After 15 minutes literally just sitting there, we left. She didn’t even bring water, no one came to check on us. It was not very busy. The servers dealt with several tables outside in the meantime and I kept trying to get their attention. Eventually, we said screw this and left. No one said anything as our party of five left. We went to another spot nearby and got great service and food.
I may consider this place for take-​out but their service needs a LOT of work.

My favorite place in Yonkers! Delicious food and excellent costumer service. My favorite: the banana and nutella pancakes and white lemonade :)

Our go to Sunday morning spot. This family owned restaurant has the best staff. The outdoor patio is so pretty. The food is generous portions and cooked with fresh ingredients. The waffle’s are a big favorite of our girls with lots of fresh fruit. Lunch menu is hard to pick from since everything is so good.

I’m giving Paxos three stars because it’s… Average.
The interior is cozy and clean and it’s a great place to people watch from.
The service was fairly standard. Nobody came by to freshen our coffee, but we weren’t there too long.
The food was well cooked, although I’m 99% sure my corned beef hash came out of a can and 100% sure that cook should be ashamed if it didn’t.
All in all, eh. Not terrible and not great. Stop by if you want something new or different or if other places are busy.

Food poisoning. My family and I visited last week whilst we were house hunting in the area. The service was wonderful however all of us became extremely ill from the fried calamari we ate. We’ve had food poisoning for 3 days, my 2 year old daughter included.

I love this place !! I moved to Yonkers about a year or so ago & I have been trying all kinds of places. I was in search of an impressive breakfast/​brunch/​lunch spot and I have found it in Paxos ! Where do I even begin. the hostesses are always so friendly and seat us right away. Immediately a waitress/​waiter comes by and offers coffee (ughhh the coffee is so good & it’s actually strong). Each and every waiter we have had offers excellent and attentive service even when the restaurant is jam-​packed. The food. The food ! Is so yummy, today I had their turkey, avocado, cheddar (switched it for swiss) omelet with home fries & toast. It was delicious, I almost finished every last bit. They have a specialty which is their «home made french fries,» and you have to say it just like that to get what I’m talking about … best non greasy home made fries & they serve in abundance. Did I mention they’re always attentive on refilling your coffee too ?? Perfect right ??
Don’t hesitate ! Go to Paxos !

Honestly I don’t understand the hate towards Paxos and the negative reviews. Are you kidding me? This is pretty much the best diner in Yonkers! What other option do we have in downtown Yonkers? The Broadway? No thanks.
My dad and I love the place and whenever we feel like having a good ol’ American breakfast, this is the place to go. The place is clean, the staff is always friendly and attentive. Granted, it’s hard to get the attention of a waitress on a Sunday but that’s because it’s packed!
My favorite thing on the menu is the Florentine Omelette (Dad’s fave too) because it’s awesome! Yummy and flavorful. I’ve had many at other diners but Paxos is the best always. And the home fries? To die for. Also try the Alpine wrap, it’s really really good!
Anyway, if you’re looking for a diner. Just go to Paxos!

On September 19^th around 2pm, I came here with a friend. From the moment we walked in, I received bad vibes from this diner. The waiters ignored us and did not come to seat us until 4 minutes later. By this time, we seated ourselves at the table. Then, we both ordered pink lemonade as our primary drinks. A few minutes later, we received our drinks. As I was telling my order to the waitress, I noticed that a small dead cockroach was in my drink. The waitress looked surprised, saying that she did not know where did this bug come from. She wanted to get the manager so that he may apologize to us. My friend sipped the pink lemonade prior and felt a little uneasy afterwards. I just wanted to warn people of this diner and tell them to stay away because they may have an infestation. I left immediately. I would never step foot in this place again, they need to be inspected!

Well given all the 5 star reviews, i was lookig forward to having breakfast here. The fact they open early for breafast is definitely a plus factor. Their service is great and servers are attentive.
The food? Well. its not bad… but its not great either. I would probably come back when im too lazy to cook. But for what they are charging, im sure i can make a better version of it for lesser.

So I am only giving this spot 3 stars because well a few things happened that I thought were kind of weird.
The first one – why is there american cheese on my quesadilla? American cheese reminds me of my childhood and grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup from the can not on my grown up «Mexican inspired» meal. The chicken was delicious but that cheese added a weird taste for me… but hey my taste buds are sophisticated these days.
The second thing was my shrimp platter didn’t come with french fries like it said it would on the menu. Im not sure what happened there. I ordered a side order of onion rings so maybe they assumed I wanted a swap out? But I can’t be sure because the weird third thing that happened was I didn’t get a receipt from the delivery guy. Lol I have absolutely no idea how my money was spent and if I was not charged for fries I never not to eat lol.
I’m definitely willing to go back… the shrimp was delicious and the dipping sauce had a nice sweetness but I want my fries and my receipt on my next trip lol :)

I really had high hopes for this place. After seeing all the 5 star reviews I was really excited to have breakfast here. After a long night what better way to start ure day. Everything I read was true right up to the food reaching the table.
The service is Excellent. The service is definitely 5 stars. From the people at the register to the servers everyone is really pleasant and attentive which is fantastic.
My reason for the 3 star is the food unfortunately. We ordered omelettes with home fries and a waffle the omelettes were very bland. They warm the syrup which is a nice gesture but it makes it watery and sugary. Everything was just… O.K.
Not that i wouldn’t come back. But I could do better at home.

We love this place. Just the right spot for a Saturday or Sunday ‘big’ breakfast. Crowded with the hustle and bustle of the diverse downtown Yonker community; a fusion of the more middle class and affluent riverfront and downtown residents and the everyday folks from outside the immediate area.
Portions are large and the prices are spot-​on. The owner’s daughter often waits tables and is never without a smile and happy conversation. Want your eggs ‘soft scrambled’? They do it here. Both the wait and kitchen staff pay attention to what you’re asking for and do a great job of getting it to your table.
As diners go, this is a local must-​do. Nice, clean and stylized interior, friendly people, great food… what could you not like about this place?
