Taco Mex Yonkers

Its just quick. Nothing out of the blue. Real Mexican Puebla style tacos, no frills location and workers are ok attentive. No parking and you must use the city parking lot next door. They make a variety of tacos. I had the Lengua (tongue) tacos and chicken. Again just ok, not going to bash or pray them since they are just OK

Took my order 2 hrs to get delivered when I called to ask what happened to my order they were rude and unhelpful the food was good but a two hr wait is crazy. Ordered on grub hub and they were no help either promised a coupon never received it.

I haven’t eaten at this place and I am already disappointed. Today I requested a delivery by «GrubHub», I was supposed to get my food within 45 minutes, after 1 hour a guy from the restaurant called me saying that they were not making deliveries so I asked him why they waited 1 hour to let me know and his answer was that the boss was the one whi got the notification on his cellphone and he wasn’t at the restaurant at that moment. Seriously… This really pissed me, I was really hungry and thinking that my food was on it’s way but… Anyway I do not if their food is good and I won’t.

I disagree with all the prior reviews because you must think of this place as a steady food truck, not fancy, loose with the service but GREAT food (with capital letters) and cheap for the size of portions. So if you cannot deal with waiting and/​or almost un existent table service, then this is NOT your place; but if you can pass/​overlook that, you will realize this is like a diamond in a rough. I had a tasty and authentic meal for 2 for $ 11. Unbeatable!!!

I love their tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc. All of their food is extremely authentic and amazing!

Horrific experience! I ordered from Seamless, and the delivery guy actually called me and asked me to come outside to get my food. Are you kidding me? I told him the purpose of a delivery guy is to DELIVER the food to your door. He said there wasn’t anywhere to park. The wrong drink was given to me, so I had to call him and tell him to come back because I’m not drinking it. He gave me my money back. The food is WAY TOO spicy. I was literally drenched in sweat while eating it. This place is allegedly open until 1 AM, but I’ve been trying to call to speak with a manager (I doubt they have one…) and there is no answer. What a disaster! Stay away from this place!

Are you craving Mexican food? Would you rather get delivery than go out to eat? Well I’ve got a place for you!
It’s certainly NOT this place, though.
I ordered one tremendously rainy Friday at 8pm while I was still at my baby sitting job. Super hungry, not wanting to eat kiddie food nor take all 3 kids out in the rain so late at night, I awaited anxiously for my chicken burrito.
Mouth watering, and almost able to smell my favorite Mexican dish, I got a call from them about an item they didn’t have available. Simple problem fixed, I didn’t mind when I looked at the clock and it was already 8:45.
Tick, tock, tick, tock. 9pm
Tick… Tock… Tick… Is time going slower or something? Where’s my food?
9:45 it is. Still, where’s my food? I call and ask what’s going on.
«The guy left a couple minutes ago, give him 5 – 10 minutes.»
UGHHH really?
10:30 rolled in hungrily and I ended up cancelling my order. Why it took over two hours remains a mystery but I know for sure that I won’t be ordering from them ever again. If I can give these people –20 stars, oh believe me, I will. Lucky for me, I had a fantastic dinner of half an apple that night, thanks to the incredible snail-​like tendencies of Taco Mex.

I’m all about 2^nd chances. So when my sister had a bad experience with taco mex because the delivery guy got. lost (for 3 hours?) and she had to cancel her. order, I thought let’s try again, maybe they got a new delivery guy. We had ordered from them before and the food was yummy, so why not? We ordered, took 45 minutes, which is average for our area. So we ordered yet again tonight, took 2 flippin hours! What the eff?! We are never ordering from them again. Period. When we hit the 2 hour mark, I made the decision that we are not giving a tip. What the hell would I be tipping for? In 2 hours I could have killed the chicken, and made my tacos myself! So when the guy gave me my cash and said in a nasty tone «no tip?», in Spanish I told him he took way too long to even deserve a tip. Caso cerrado! Next time I’ll go to the LES and get tacos from my favorite truck, id make it there and back in less time than id be waiting for these guys.

When with a friend after i had a few drinks, the taco was ok i was expecting something better, but the service was fast, they don’t have a lot of chair to sit down, the place look clean.
