I just had the two best experiences at this store. I bought a little bike for my niece last Sunday night. I wasn’t sure how to actually purchase it since I needed a tag to bring to the register. One of the kids what was restocking shelves helped me and was super nice. He even checked to see if it was in stock before I went up the register and paid for it. After I paid for the bile the girl at customer service was so nice and friendly and told me where to go and pick it up etc. Unfortunately the bike had a issue after I brought home but when I came back last night in the midst of absolute mayhem of Holiday shopping the women at Customer Service got me in and helped me out to exchange it and I was in and out of that store in 10 minutes. Every person I met with helped me and was friendly and I cannot be more happy.

Even though mario and nancy was so nice to us, manager was so rude. We wanted to buy a board game called pie face our charity. We needed 100 of them. The manager refused to give us the games and made racist comments when we asked her why she was not giving the games to us. It was not necessary. When we went there next day, they told us that the manager gave them all to someone else. That manager should be fired.

Unfortunately the only real option for an actual sizable toy store in the immediate area. This is the Toys R Us that gives all others a bad name. This is the Toys R Us that compels one to drive further to another Toys R Us location. This is the Toys R Us that makes options like Target/KMart/Walmart sound like a better idea. This is the Toys R Us that makes a great argument that ordering online is much better — whether it’s from Toys R Us or a cheaper competitor. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid — those days, when either the store was better run or I simply didn’t know any better. I have a child these days, so I have no choice at times but to come to this location. This review is mainly for the last 8 years, since I’ve been forced to come here because my son doesn’t see what I see. Firstly, the price. You can surely find things cheaper at a competitor — even TRU’s own website is sometimes cheaper than in store. Hell, one further, TRU on eBay was cheaper than in store — I should know since I have a feedback from an item purchased through that site this past fall. TRU likes to brag about knocking out it’s competition(like Kay Bee) or buying up places like FAO. It seems of course that ever since they did, they’ve gotten worse as a whole with their price making it a better bet for someone looking to save, to go elsewhere. Of course TRU has«exclusives» which makes it harder to avoid going, but for most else, go elsewhere. The staff is usually blah. Lately there have been some nice employees — which I’m still shocked at — but mostly they’re just blah. Management is pretty poor. Doesn’t matter how busy the store is, be prepared to wait at one of the usual two slow registers while other employees and the manager on duty hang at the management office socializing. I guess it’s too challenging to count out an extra till. I worked retail for years before and would run circles around most of the staff/managers in this location on their best day and my worst. Sometimes if you need help with something, you have to search the aisles for an employee. The store is also stocked pretty badly — and at times is a mess. I know customers can be slobs, but this is when the store is not that busy. And night stock guys seem to like to shove things in the completely wrong spots either out of laziness or complete ineptness. I actually am going to add 2 photos of evidence of that from a year or so ago. Yeah, simple retail logic doesn’t exist here. It’s almost a tutorial on how not to run a retail business at this location. I did do the online order experience once. While I did get the email an hour later telling me the item was«ready for me», when I got there I had to still wait almost 20 minutes for someone to radio someone else to bring item up to me. Yep. I could go on and on, but you get the point. If you can help it, you’re better off in the White Plains location or the Baychester location — but if you’re forced to come here, as I am, then you have been warned. The parking lot is sizable, but be warned — a lot of the customers just love to park near the front of the store and will cut you off to get a spot. It can get busy there, so save yourself the trouble and park along the right side(facing the store) of the store. So in a nutshell — a bad Toys R Us. As bad as they get and in desperate need of a overhaul… in just about every facet.

I truly hate this store.!!(No, I don’t have kids.) Everything from the aisles, to registry kiosk, to stock and staff is beyond horrible. I came in my 1st time to purchase a gift for someone from their registry. I approached a staff member where I could print out a registry. And she huffed and puffed and pointed and said«over their». Umm. Ok. I get to the kiosk and it wasn’t working! And NOONE was there to assist you. Using my iPhone to navigate the registry. I asked a staff member for location of the item. Instead he was really rude and told me to hold on someone will come around. Are you people serious!!! Is this how you run a chainstore?!! Finally!!! Someone came. And half of the items were out of stock. Really?! When I finally selected the gift, as I was waiting on line; The cashier looked at me and seriously whispered I’m «opened» really could you say in any quieter?!! This store is a joke!!!

This is a review about purchasing online to pick up in store. DON’T DOIT. I found a DVD online, figured I could save time by paying in advance and then just picking up at customer service. WRONG. First, I waited 25 minutes on the guest services line. The people in front of me were finally called, and they were quick. As they walked away, two girls approached the cust serv counter(not from the line) and started talking to the girl behind the desk. They pulled out phones and started gossiping about their personal lives(while there was still a line). There was only ONE person at the guest services counter, so she was all the help available. No one ever came to help her even though the line was long and slow. I interrupted their conversation to say«Hi, I’m in line and I need some help, please. The employee looked me dead in the eye and said«Oh, you need something» — YES I FREAKINNEEDSOMETHING, JUSTLIKETHERESTOFTHELINE! So I gave her my order, and figured I would just get it. NO again. They had to call to the back. Then someone came to the front — with NODVD. «Oh, sir, the order is yours?» «Yes, its for me». OK, you have to drive your car around to the back of the building and I’ll meet you there to give it to you. SHADY!!! So I leave. Drive around. And wait again! About 10 more minutes. In total it took me over 45 minutes to get the DVD. NOTETOALL — ITISMUCHQUICKERTOJUSTBUYSOMETHINGINTHESTORE — DONOTUSE ‘STOREPICKUP’ OPTION, ITS A TOTAL S**T SHOW!

Is toys-r-us usually this blah??? What happened to the magic of the largest toy retailer in the world(exaggerating about the world part)??? I expect everything to be everywhere, especially this time of year… So they are lucky about my review about the condition of that place. But dag, no production design(sorry, I’m a film maker), not even eye popping signs or n e thing… WHEREARETHELIGHTS??? Idk… Maybe they are still under construction… If you are looking for the magic of Toys-R-Us, I suggest you shop at the one on Central Park Ave or Times Square… :)
