Dan is the best artist ever. I’ve been going to him for 3 years and now I travel from the Bronx to Yonkers JUST to be tatted by him. (Public transit is a pain, guys. Just take a cab from your house because Westchester cabs are crazy pricey). I got my first black and grey piece done by him a few days ago and was nervous because it was my first detailed tattoo, whereas my other tats were pretty simple and just solid black. I’m usually a pain in the butt because I’m super specific and I talk way too much to pass the time and distract myself from the stinging, but Dan’s the man. He’s meticulous, reasonable, and really loves what he does. If you want a good tattoo, don’t hesitate to see this guy.

So I decided to get my 8th tattoo this week, and after looking at Dan’s Instagram I called and made an appointment with him for Thursday. Got to the shop at 6:30 showed Dan some pictures of what I was interested in getting and he went in the back drew it up for me in 20 minutes. It was one of the most painful tattoos I got because of where I got it on the back of my forearm but it was so worth it. Out of all my tattoos this last one is the best. Don’t hesitate to book an appointment you will definitely be happy with the work you get done there.

I got a tattoo about a year ago and to this day about 3⁄5 people I show ask me if I did it myself or ask if I’ve had it for many years. I have four words on my wrist and on all the words there are letters that are fading, some letters are thick and some are thin. It’s a mess. I should have walked out when they told me the guy who does words was running late because he was hungover from the night before. (I came in after 6pm)
Pros: looked like a pretty clean place. The staff was nice.
Cons: I have a very visible tattoo that looks like I did it with a dull sharpie marker. I also paid more for this tatoo than I did for more complex tattoos that have lasted years without fading and took much more time.
