Monica today she really had the patience for both of my boys choosing Frames. Also I was completely out of contacts and Dr Spaeth fit me in to fit for my new contacts … Thankyou

Dr. Spaeth was wonderful and explained everything he was doing in detail and told a few jokes to break the ice for our wish kid. She wished to have contacts since she had worn glasses since 4 – 5 years old. Her wish came true and more with the help of Dr Spaeth. Thanks from all of us at Grants Wishes for Dr Spaeth’s support and helping us to make another wish come true.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Spaeth for an exam. He was by far the most caring eye doctor I have seen yet. He took his time to check and make sure my eye prescription was acurate. He fitted me for contacts and made sure they fit me correctly as my previous doctors didn’t and only seem to care that I purchase what they fit me in. The two girls in the front were very helpful and friendly. I will continue to see Dr. Spaeth yearly and I will recommend him to others as well. Thank you Dr. Spaeth!

Dr. Spaeth was the first optometrist to prescribe corrective lenses for me when he was at his La Palma office. I was very happy with his care there. When I moved out of the area I changed to other doctors, but was never quite as satisfied. When I returned to Orange County I was very happy to find Dr. Spaeth at his Yorba Linda location. Each visit I receive excellent care from all staff, especially Marvel, as well as a good education about the health of my eyes. I called one day because of a concern with light flashes in one eye. I was hoping to get in for a check the next day. It was not an office day for Dr. Spaeth but he came in to check my eye. I really appreciated it. I know I will always get good care and information with Dr. Spaeth’s practice. Thanks!

Friendly people and good doctor. But always very slow. Mess up multiple appointments. They talk wayyyy tooooo much. No one goes to the eye doctor to talk.

I had a really positive experience at this optometrist when I went to get my annual eye exam and new contact lens. Office staff are super friendly, helpful, and professional. I could tell that Dr Spaeth reeally cares about his patients and gets excited talking about eyes and he answered all my questions. He definitely makes sure that each patient leaves his office with almost 20⁄20 vision. During my eye exam we tried different contact lenses and he tested each one to make sure it fit properly and adjusted well to my eyes. He found that my old optometrist over-corrected my vision so I was wearing contacts that were too strong. I went from a –5 to a –4 now and Im seeing better than before! Dont know how he did it, but Im super satisfied and happy! Visits can go longer than expected because Dr Spaeth is so thorough with his patients, so I didnt mind because I’d rather see a doc who tells me everything I want to know than leave the office with questions unanswered. But just a heads up if your plan to come here on a really tight schedule!

I so appreciate the friendly atmosphere in Dr. Spaeth’s office! From the front office staff to the doctor himself we are very satisfied! Dr. Spaeth is great with my boys! Very efficient and always explains things so well. He really keeps up on the new and current products. He just introduced us to some cool new contacts that breath better and help with moisture! He makes the appointment fun and educational. He throws in a little trivia or funny eye test — which makes it cool for kids. One year, he let us borrow one of his eye models for an oral report my son had in elementary school. He has cool gadgets I’ve never seen at other optical appointments. A machine that checks the health of the back of your eye. Pretty awesome stuff! And Marvelle(did I spell that right?). — she is great! Love this place!

I didn’t realize I needed glasses until I was in class one day. Sitting at the back of the class and not being able to make out the words the teacher was writing on the board. I thought it was the reflection of the light that made it hard for me to see. A classmate of mine gave me her glasses and said, «why don’t you try these on?» Well sure enough that was my problem. I’ve had my glasses from 2008 all the way up to about 2012. Unfortunately I lost them at a bar and never went in to get a new pair since the first pair cost me a pretty penny. Dr. Spaeth has always told me that I have a twinkle in my left eye. Totally thought he was hitting on me lol but what he really meant was for me to come in and get my eyes checked. I put it off for a long long time until I was driving late at night in LA traffic with my mom in the car. My eyes have gotten sensitive to the light and the headlights were not helping. So I figured it was about time to go in. The staff is always friendly and accommodating to my crazy schedule. Dr. Spaeth is actually a really busy person who is always jetting off to conventions and business trips that it’s so hard to meet. Marvel was nice enough to fit something in for anyone of my co-workers and I so I took the first appointment that was available. I’m so glad that I went into Dr. Spaeth’s office and not Len’s Crafters. My first pair of glasses was with Len’s Crafters and they could care less about giving me information about my eyes. Dr. Spaeth really took the time to inform me about my optic nerves and cupping. This is where some people would kind of misunderstand and think. «OMG I’m gonna be blind!» He was just be cautious like any doctor would when they see the signs for a patient who might get glaucoma down the line. It’s better to monitor it before it’s too late. He also mentioned that my left eye is higher than my right eye without even doing a test. He realized that I always tilted my head to the left. He even mentioned that you could tell by looking at someone’s picture. It was totally true because my friend’s say that the head tilt is my signature pose. When I went to Len’s Crafters they never mentioned any of that to me. I really felt that I got a little lesson out of this visit. Marvel helped me pick out my frames and let me take it over to my co-workers for a second opinion. She was really good at picking out frames that would fit my face. I got my glasses within the next week and put them on. Everything was like HD lol. I had a little bit of a headache the first day I had them on but I knew I just had to get adjusted to it. The glasses that I got from Len’s Crafter’s always gave me a headache no matter how long I had them. That’s why I was not fond of wearing them but only to drive. The pair I got from Dr. Spaeth’s office doesn’t give me that problem and I wear them all day, everyday. It’s actually weird when I take them off now. I didn’t know how much I was straining my eyes until I got these new pair of glasses. Overall I had a wonderful experience that I talked to my mom about getting her an appointment there and along with some other co-workers of mine. Dr. Spaeth is honest, informative, and educated. Go in for an eye exam, I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.

We were going to lose our eye insurance, so our whole family decided to get our eyes checked. Hubby is starting to need reading glasses though he will never admit it. Mine haven’t been checked for years and it was the first time for our kids, ages 8 and 11. The front staff is very friendly, even let us in when they were closed on Monday. We made our appointment then. Dr. Spaeth is very busy, travels for work, and often book a few weeks ahead. One could hardly tell he’s a day over 60. He’s extremely active and up to date on the latest technology and equipment. He’s warm and funny, and especially good with kids. All our exams were thorough. Dr. Spaeth takes his time to ask and answer He doesn’t recommend us to buy anything unless we really need it. He’s been an eye doctor for over 30 years so he knows his stuff. I know we are in good hands here.

My family had faithfully been going to this office for years but this year was much different. My 161⁄2 year old son who is driving himself had asked if he could take himself to his appointment. I had called the office and asked if that would be OK and they said it was just a routine appointment and would be fine. When my son came home he was visibly upset and I asked him why. He stated that the doctor had told him that he had something in his eye that could either«make him blind tomorrow or he could live with until he was 100». I called the office very upset. I told them what was said to him and asked them, if that information was true why wasn’t I called immediately? The office wanted us to come back and do further testing billing our medical insurance. I felt if this was«medical» I would see a medical professional. I made my son an appointment an with an Ophthalmologist; which is an eye doctor with a MD, not just a optometrist. The ophthalmologist told my son and I that my son did not have what doctors office had said. He said it was normal anatomy and just my sons version of normal. The fact that my son had been told he could go blind tomorrow and then had to live with that information for weeks, to only find out that ITWASNOTHING. Seals the deal for me to NEVER go back to this office again.

Dr Spaeth’s office is one of the best optometry offices I have been to. I have been going here since he opened his practice in Yorba Linda. The staff are positive and upbeat, and Dr Spaeth always has a new toy or gadget ready to check out your eyes. Good news — he doesn’t do that puff of air test in your eye like other eye doctors do. :)
