Big 5 Sporting Goods

Great prices man I will not go anywhere else now. I tried dicks pshhhh yeah right never doing that again!!! I went over to big 5 in yorba Linda and it was a quick and easy trip and very reasonably priced! Love this place for all my sports needs!

My Husband and I, with my boys ages 7 and 9, went to shop today and am very disappointed with the Manager and the female clerk. When asked if I could use the 20% coupon more than once, she replied «I would double check if I were you.» Not very helpful. They did allow us to use the coupon for all our purchases which totalled over $ 400, but not before being lectured by the Manager that if our transaction caused delay and a line formed, we would not. What the? I did not appreciate being talked to in this manner in front of my boys. I teach my boys to treat people with respect and to be fair. To add insult, the female clerk told my Husband to get another pair of baseball gloves because it was missing a manufacturer’s tag and the price. I told her we had already looked and it was the last pair. Not sure why my Husband went to look, I’m thinking he wanted to be out of the store as quickly as possible. The manager got on the phone and checked another store. I should actually call another store tomorrow (they are closed right now). The female clerk can act friendly, as during the time she waited for the manager’s call, she checked out 3 other customers and I got to observe her make small talks with the customers, make compliments about their children and even say, «Thank you. Have a good one.» We didn’t hear this from her when we left the store. I should point out that the young gentleman in the back assisting customers with the shoes was helpful. I plan on contacting their corporate office. I held back because my kids were with me. This store needs a new manager and a new clerk. I would not be surprised if they were related. I cannot understand how the Manager became a Manager because he certainly does not know how to treat a customer and manage his employee.

Horrible customer service at this store! I showed the posted coupon. And I was accused of showing «fake» coupons. They show NO respects for customers. I will not go back to this store and encourage ppl to shop at other stores!

Consider this one my go to store for anything sports related. Great prices, easy to find and great service.

I called to see if they had swimming caps in stock, the girl I spoke with was very sweet. She went to grab a few, told me the price range and answered all my questions. I’m not quite sure why they have such a low rating. The customer service was great in person too.

Convenient and fairly priced. Staff is helpful when asked for help. ALways friendly. Store, though small, seems to always have what I am looking to buy. They are moving to the Blockbuster suite this year and I’ll continue buying from them.

Manufacturer close-​outs and last year’s styles but where else can you get new brand name running shoes for $ 30? Always my «go to» place for running shoes you don’t mind taking on the trails and trashing.

Eh… this place is ok. Small selection and the customer service really needs to improve. Maybe it was just the day I went that the service was so bad, but definitely not going back.
