I came here the day after Thanksgiving for take-out lobster rolls. The restaurant has two floors, a lobster tank, lobster clothing for sale, and very friendly staff. The lobster roll was delicious and pretty big. I’d definitely go back to try more items!

Found this restaurant great relaxing setting was very clean but I was disappointed with the food. Maybe just due to end of the season and was a busy friday night? The service was great.

Fresh Maine Lobster! I suggest the twin Lobster plate unreal freshness the meat looks as if it was just pulled out of the ocean. Friendly atmosphere right on the coast with beautiful view of ocean from every table in the restaurant.

I usually stop here for a lobster roll on my way north. Solid place with decent food. Nothing fancy or high end, but good lobster. Furniture is dated and the chairs are most uncomfortable. Carpet is filthy, smells and needs replacing. Fantastic view of the ocean, a deck and chairs out front for waiting or relaxing afterwards. Usually not too crowded for lunch if you go early like 11:30, but soon after and at night it can be. There is a full bar for drinks if you’re inclined. Side dishes are pretty generic and unremarkable, but fresh. Fries are good. The use a piece of thick toast for the lobster roll which is too much bread for me.

I have eaten at Lobster Cove for years and have always had a positive experience. This time around it was horrible — and to make it worse, the staff did not seem to care. Service was SLOW, when the food did arrive it was thrown on the table. The lobster was good — but how hard is it to steam a lobster in Maine. The rolls were amazing. The chowder was lukewarm and the baked potato was flavorless. We also got blueberry pie — normally a HUGEHIT — this time, what a miss. One corner was like lava the rest was COLD. We mentioned all these issues to the waitress — she could not have cared less. We went back the very next morning for breakfast — as this is an annual trip, I like to do the usual things — — and Lobster Cove for dinner and breakfast has been a tradition. Breakfast was worse. NOOATMEAL — they have a small menu, they need to have all the items, how do you not have oatmeal? I think the cook though it is off season, let’s not make it. Very disappointing — I order nothing, Mum got french toast — it was cold. Super disappointing, especially when they used to be such a solid place. Plus there were TONS of flies.

There’s nothing better than lobster dinner. Top that with a beachfront view, and you have the perfect meal. I ate here for my first lobster dinner in Maine, and I was not disappointed in the least. For starters, the restaurant is across the street from the beach and has a lighthouse view. The view alone earned this place a few stars. The menu was a tad bit pricey, and some of the same menu items are also listed as less expensive specials. Therefore, I recommend checking out the specials menu before ordering. I had the stuffed lobster. It was essentially a lobster filled with crabmeat which resembled a crab cake. The meat in the tail and claws had that perfect juicy, creamy white soft texture. It probably didn’t need all of the lemon I squeezed on or the drawn butter I dipped my lobster meat into, but that’s how I like my lobstah. Bring along a sweatshirt, and enjoy a table outside. Happy eating!

Had high hopes for this place, but was disappointed. Nice setting right on the water and friendly service, but the food was just ok. The bacon wrapped scallops were lukewarm when they came out and seemed to be re-heated. The calamari had too much breading and did not seem fresh. The Lobster mac and cheese was too creamy, but did have a ton of lobster meat. My wife did say the clam chowder was the best she had on the trip, though. We were also over-charged a couple of dollars for the happy hour specials. Not a big deal, but why advertise them if you don’t honor them?

This was a nice restaurant with beautiful views and friendly service. We tried fried calamari, clam chowder, and bacon wrapped scallops appetizers and lobster mac and cheese for an entrée. The calamari was ok but too much breading. The clam chowder was excellent. The scallops were a little small compared to how much bacon was used. The Mac and cheese was very creamy but it had a ton of large chunks of lobster. The children’s haddock nuggets were actually really good.

My family and I have been eating here for years. It is a regular stop during our annual trip to Maine. Food is consistently good. Great location with awesome ocean view from second floor. Very friendly staff and prompt service.

Really good! Lobster roll is huge and fresh. Found it surprisingly hard to find a place with baked stuffed haddock on the menu, I saw it on this menu and that’s the reason we came. It was amazing! Real sea food stuffing that was stuffed to the max! Right on the water too this place is great

Charming place for lobster near the Nubble lighthouse and rocky coast of Maine, with terrific views of the ocean(the view on the second floor is better). They recommended the mac and cheese, but this was not as good as the regular steamed lobster or the clam and chowder soup, both of which were nice. Easy parking is available.

I loved this place. Food was great. Service was good. View is good. Prices were extremely reasonable. Our party got the Lobster, Stuffed Shrimp, Haddock nuggets, and New England Clam Chowder as entrée’s and everyone loved their food. I would go to this place over the more overpriced lower level places nearby like Sun & Surf which has a better view but the food doesn’t compare. Only downfall is parking. If you have a full size truck and it’s packed… good luck trying to get out!

We went for breakfast, and had the lobster benedict. It was yummy and full of lobster meat. The service was great too.

My sister and I drove up from Boston to go to Ogunquit Beach for the day. On our way there, we were checking out Unilocal to see which restaurants had good tasting and decent priced lobster rolls. We came across the Lobster Cove and decided to give them a try once we left the beach. Boy, I’m so glad we did! We got to the restaurant around 520ish. The parking lot full, but 2 spaces left for us to park. A good sign. They also have meters on long the beach in front. We were greeted and asked if we wanted to be inside or outside on the patio we ate inside. Our waitress was friendly. We had just missed their happy hour 3 – 5 pm M-F. So I went for the special and my sister got the lobster roll. I later saw another server bringing out these mussels and clams that looked to good to resist, I ended up ordering some. The FOOD… OMG!!! Listed in order of deliciousness and taste: LOBSTERSPECIAL! Enough said, and only for $ 17.00, comes with a side of your choice and an ear of corn, clarified butter, lemons, and a bucket of essential tools for digging in. MUSSELS! To die for! They come in this broth with a garlic tone and white wine deliciousness topped with a few tomatoes and onions. Lemons for garnish. They gave us a side of bread that we also dipped in the broth, amazing! $ 8.99 LOBSTERROLL! It was pretty good. But it was only my first time ever having one. It was served cold with a touch of mayo on a hot buttered New England bun. Served with fries, coleslaw and a pickle spear. From what I hear, there are two types: the cold or hot lobster rolls, and the hot is usually the better one. But all in all of was tasty.(My sister orders this and said she should have gotten what I got, the lobster special.) My special was even cheaper than the roll too. $ 19.00 Overall very good food for the price. We will definitely be back when we are in Maine.

Perhaps we got the new girl but the service was not good at all. The server was unacknowledged on the menu, we had to ask for both refills and the bill. Additionally, it took 30 – 45 minutes for the food to make it to the table. At least the view of the water is beautiful.

I drove up to York, Maine from Providence while visiting the East Coast from San Francisco and didn’t want to leave without trying an authentic Maine lobster before leaving, so I made the long drive up north. I walked into Lobster Cove and I was literally the only person inside besides the waitress and cook(s). The waitress told me I was their third customer of the day(this was roughly around 7−8PM). I was shocked and asked a few questions about the restaurant and the area before taking my order. She was very easygoing in explaining how incredibly busy Lobster Cove is during the summer, which I do not doubt. Alright, onto the food! I had the lobster special, which included a 1 pound lobster and baked potato. This was my first time dismantling a full shelled lobster, so I didn’t know what to expect. All in all it was quite an experience and was tasteful. Luckily there were nobody around to watch a rookie like myself eat my lobster, ha!

Oh. Hell. Yes. On reccomendation, we drove the hour from Manchester. So glad we did. Lobster was fresh and sweet. Clam chowder was best I’d had in New England. I was kind of «meh» on the steamer clams but that didn’t stop me from eating them all. Great location right on the ocean with awesome views. Service was wonderful. Also, the prices are great. It was $ 35 for chowder, lobster, clams, potato and veggies. Portions were good and I actually felt like I got my money’s worth compared to other seafood houses in the area. Lobster Cove is worth driving a little out of your way for sure!

BEST. PLACE. EVER!!! My mother, grandmother, sister, and I went last summer for a few days stay in York. This was our local restaurant and I am surely glad it was. For lunch and dinner we went and the next morning we went for breakfast. The service was incredible, everyone was very nice and welcoming! They were very benevolent people which made the experience so much better. It’s a beautiful place to feel comfortable, look out at the beautiful ocean, and eat delicious food! Our food was absolutely amazing, came out at a reasonable time after ordering, especially with the quantity of people in the restaurant. The food was delicious; fresh, well prepared, and perfectly cooked(yes, all times we went there). I seriously recommend this spot to eat and enjoy on a vacation or just a new place to eat! I love you Lobster Cove! I can’t wait to visit this summer!

As you ride along the beach, you see Lobster Cove; definitely recommend stopping. Walking in the front door, you immediately see the lobster tank generally full of Lobster. You have three options for seating, second level which offers a larger window for viewing a spectacular ocean, first level, or on the deck; Any location is suitable. You’re initially greeted at the door by a friendly staff person. Then when seated, a pleasant wait staff. The ambiance is pleasant; interior is clean. Today is a special day for me, celebrating my birthday. What better way to spend but with Lobster Cove. We ordered a delicious and affordable meal. I chose the baked stuffed haddock with two vegetables. Prior we ordered mozzarella sticks. Plenty of food to fill but since it was a special day, also ordered Chocolate Mousse for dessert. YUMMY! Service is fast but patient. The waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu, very pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking, and a great place to stop for a delicious meal. We will definitely be back and will bring more people the next time to share our experience. Quite a view!

I hope you are not looking for frills because you won’t get them here. This is a pretty rustic place with some great views of the ocean. We wanted to sit outside but it was a little chilly so we got a window pub seat. We ordered clam chowder which was thick as flavorful. I asked about the lobster bisque but thankfully the waitress said we were better off with the chowder. I love honesty in a waitstaff. I ordered the twin 1lb lobsters for $ 24.99… Which you can’t beat. I am not sure if they served margarine instead of butter but I prefer butter. I asked for substitutions and they were very accommodating. The cole slaw was good but on the small side and the sweet potato fries were a bit on then mushy side. The waitstaff were very nice and attentive. Our waitress was training a young man and was very patient with him and did a great job walking him trough things. We had a pleasant experience and did not leave hungry!
