Got the shrimp and broccoli, my go to chinese meal. 9.28 for a quart with rice. Took it home and pulled out the quart, noticed how gelatinous the sauce was. My question is, why??? Second thing I noticed was the shrimp was not deveined, my personal peeve but some don’t mind. Something I couldn’t get over though was how SOFT the broccoli was. Way too overcooked. Shrimp was overcooked as well, too rubbery. As for the taste… You ever try that chinese lobster seafood soup? It kinda tasted like that. Weird.

The best egg rolls ever(with or with out duck sauce). I’d been to Hong Kong multiple times, I lived in Hawaii for 16 years, and traveled throughout the world. Chang Chow restaurant can’t be topped. The only drawback about this place is they only take cash. That is why I gave them a 4 out of 5 stars rating.

3.5 stars. nevermind that this place is in a slightly sketchy area… and CASHONLY. the more i go here, the more i like it!(even though I’m ususally reluctant to start the trek.) [Closed on Sundays.] i was quite surprised at the variety of products that this little place carried. when you first walk in, there is a counter to chinese order food«to go» only(though it looks nothing like a restaurant of any sorts). And to the right, you have two aisles of goodies that i would liken to a convenience store set up. There is even a little freezer section with wonton wrappers and flash frozen(?) red chili peppers. They had all sorts of rice, ramen noodles, soy sauces, mango fruit & veggies in cans(ooh, i should’ve gotten me some!), sesame oil, and that japanese(??) seaweed flakes that you sprinkle on rice(yum!)… coconut milk, fish sauce, dark soy sauce, hot sauces, vinegars, hoisin & oyster sauce, even chili bean paste! though, I noticed things were a slightly over priced. The small bottle of maggi sauce was priced as $ 3+, and my favorite bag of ramen noodles(ichiban) was priced at $.79. *bah* But for the convenience of not having to travel to Lancaster, i’m a fan!
