This place kind of reminds me of Mel’s Diner for some reason. I went in for a quick lunch, sat at the bar and ordered a turkey sandwich on pretzel bread. Pretzel bread makes my trips here so worth it. I just love it. The turkey slices were grilled, which was a nice surprise and the pretzel bread slightly toasted. The lettuce and tomato slices were fresh and crisp. It came with standard chips and pickle. Sandwich and drink came out to $ 6 plus change. What a steal! The best part was that all the locals were so friendly and chatted me up while I waited and ate. I met George, who works at a dairy company nearby. He’s worked there over 30 years! and comes to Cindy’s regularly. Every knew him when he walked in and they talked to each other like family. This place gave me the warm fuzzies, check it out if you’re ever in York.
