Excellent care, especially with my pregnant wife. I would recommend Glow to anyone, but especially for prenatal massages. We REALLY wish Glow was closer(we live in Boston) and we would go weekly!

I received a gift certificate to Glow and booked a massage with Carrie. She is absolutely amazing — one of the best massages I have gotten. It was so great that I just went back for another 90-minute massage with Carrie today and once again it was fantastic. Very nice atmosphere and not pretentious like some of the other spas. Prices are very reasonable compared to what some other places are charging in the area. Highly recommend Glow!

I have received many services at GLOW, all excellent. Not as flashy as the bigger spas in the area, GLOW is charming and peaceful and just quite simply a place to relax. I have had massage sessions with 3 of the LMTs, all wonderful. Each therapist has a unique and different healing energy, and all so skilled. I have also had a facial with Nicole, using the GLOW signature skincare line«Just Bee.» It was heaven. I bought the«face oil» to take home– it is light and has a lovely lemon scent. I also recently had an acupuncture session with Isabel. Also wonderful. I never knew how profoundly relaxing acupuncture was, and Isabel has such a healing energy. Also there is a $ 25 community acupuncture night once a month that I will most certainly be checking out.

Recently, I completed a prenatal yoga instructor certification program at GLOW and am happy I chose to study here with Amy Hopkins. When I decided to enroll in a prenatal yoga instructor program, I had a few options. One option was to travel to New York, which was not feasible at the time. I narrowed it down to two options that were within driving distance. Amy’s experience over the course of her career(s) as a nurse, doula, massage therapist and yoga instructor won me over. It is rare to find an individual who has this particular collection of experience. It was a further drive for me to travel to York, Maine, however, I was able to make the distance work due to the timing of the four-day session. While we covered an insane amount of information, not once in the four days did I feel that we were rushing at all. Each topic flowed into the next and everything covered was relevant. The ‘classroom’ is GLOW’s comfortable, cozy studio that would make anyone feel at home and we had the opportunity to bring the lessons to life by instructing each other as well as expectant mothers in the community. I am expecting as well, so the timing of the session was perfect for me. You do NOT need to be expecting to learn an incredible wealth of knowledge from this program, though. The experience has helped me realize how my anatomy has changed and what I need to do for myself and my clients to ensure a safe and enjoyable practice that will help throughout the entire pregnancy and delivery — both physically AND emotionally. I am not in Maine as often as I’d like, however, when I am I do plan on returning to GLOW for other workshops or even to take advantage of the other services offered. If you are considering furthering your knowledge or expanding your instruction to include yoga for expecting mothers, this is a fantastic place to begin your journey.
