John Rudy County Park

Have you been? Why not? :/​South Central PA has many parks to offer and I suggest you go to ALL of them. My son’s school has the before and after school year picnic here and it’s a nice location.
What to say…
The park is clean :)
The toilets have tp… don’t laugh this is VERY important. Fountains.
Horseshoe pits… I think there were 5 so it’s unlikely you will have to wait.
Soccer field.
Nice play ground area for the little ones.
OPEN areas for frisbee or in my son’s case to try to play tennis.
Trails for biking/​jogging.
Volleyball nets.
Picnic houses for rent (some off to the side) a few tables with a little roof first come first get.
Plenty of parking.
In the dead of summer, it could be tricky because there aren’t a lot of trees except the outter edges.
Make sure you make time to go to the Ranger/​Information house next to the park you will find oodles of info on other parks AND they have a lovely garden to check out.
