Johnny’s Candy Corner

This is the best candy store around. It’s well organized and has an extensive sour patch inventory. I’m not talking about the run of the mill watermelons and sour kids. I’m talking sour apple, sour cherry, sour grape, sour black raspberry, etc.

Omg I must come here everytime I come to Maine!!! I just LOVE the owner John he is a total sweetheart!!! Everytime he sees us he has a huge huge smile on his face !!! I must say I won’t go to another candy store cause I feel no one else is as good as Johnnys candy corner!!!

I’m not a beach person, but I occasionally make a trip to York just to visit this store. Their homemade truffles are absolutely amazing, and they have a fantastic selection of the best salt water taffy I’ve ever tasted.

This place is hidden gem that has the best home made fudge around. If you are lucky you can see the owner making fudge from the front window. They also have a huge amount of taffy and penny candies. For the chocoholics there’s dipped Devil Dogs, Twinkies and fresh fruits. Whenever I’m in York, Johnny’s Candy Corner is one of my first stops. My personal favorites are the home made Turtles. Definitely worth the trip.

How are there no reviews on this place?! The Candy Corner has the best taffy in York. Hands down. They have an incredibly variety of candy that will take you back to your childhood and it is all very fresh. The bulk price is $ 8.99/lb.
They also make the best fudge in York. I know this only because I conducted my very own taste test of three shops (Candy Corner, Goldenrod and Josie’s) and Candy Corner won on the quality of taffy (chocolate and vanilla) and chocolate fudge. I mentioned this to the owner and he said, «That’s the first time I’ve heard someone say that… in the last six minutes! I know our stuff is the best, you just have to try it.» And he’s so right.
Candy Corner also makes killer chocolate covered Twinkies and Devil Dogs. My my mouth is watering at the thought. You must go, and go now!
