It’s different every time I come here. It’s like depends what chef is cooking that day. Usually everything is delicious but a few times, the steak I had ordered medium well came out well done and burnt. The waitress did notice how burnt my steak was and the manager took my meal off of my bill. Never had a bad experience with the wait staff they just have to work on getting the food orders correct.

Every time I eat here I have a different experience. I’ll go one time and everything is cooked like I want it and it’s a good time. Next time everything is overcooked and it’s not that good. Take your chances when coming here. Food is good when it’s done properly. Iffy place overall.

Good food and great service. The bartender was a true professional and knew her stuff. Knew the menu well and was constantly checking on me. The beers on tap taste like the lines are clean and most importantly cold. I ordered the chicken pasta and the portion size was good, the house salad was fresh.

So I thought I would try longhorn for lunch because they advertised a great sandwich. It was not busy I went to the bar because they told me that would be the quickest service. The we’re so WRONG. I had to greet tge bartender, I asked him if it was ok for a quick lunch because I’m out on business. He responded with I’m here but I don’t know how quick it is. My mouth was wide open, he then turned around and walked away. So I’m looking at menu. I know what I want. I look up and the bartender is making a drink or cleaning the shaker in the cubby area, then while cleaning and wiping the item off he then takes the towel and wipes the sweat off his face and head. OMG. So now no service yet, grossed out, get my badge, keys, and bag and high tail it out of there!!! In York for business but if this is the food standard for this restaurant organization NOTHANKYOU! Luckily I saw across the lot there was a Chili’s! I did the same went to bar to order politely again was able to place my order with ease and get lunch. It was extra busy in there more than Longhorn. I guess the locals knew something I didn’t and I met a few professionals as well doing the same.

I can’t really find anything to complain about here. The food is excellent, the service is quick and friendly, and pricing is fair. Their steaks are cooked to perfection and they always have new dishes to try. In my opinion longhorns is by far, the best chain restaurant in York.

Went with a party of 4 on a bust Saturday night. Call ahead seating made our wait about 10 minutes. Service was good, food was good. Actually exceeded my expectations for a chain steakhouse.

Hmm. Not so good. I’ve been here twice for lunch. Each time, service was extremely slow and at least one food item was wrong. The folks who work here seem friendly, but something is just not working. The food itself is good, once you get it.

I’ve been to this steakhouse several times because my wife likes it. Nice atmosphere and relatively clean. The food is good but not remarkable, as you might expect from a chain restaurant. My main«beef» is that this is the only bar in central Pennsylvania that does not have Yuengling Lager on tap.

Worse dining out experience EVER. Cuts of meat were entirely too thin to offer mid-rare let alone rare(which we both did) and WOW! When the MOD noticed we were cleary unhappy we touched Down. First Steve ordered the t bone… no bone. I ordered the strip and she asked me how my sirloin was!!! After taking our60 two meals off(still had to pay for the kids) our bill was still $ 60.00 Screw this shitty Ass place… never again!

Went for lunch here on a Saturday, around 2pm. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server within 5 minutes. I had the Black & Blue burger and a side of their Mac and Cheese. As soon as I put the mac & cheese in my mouth the flavor just exploded! I didn’t even start chewing it yet! Best damn mac and cheese eva! 2 of my friends had the NY strip and they were cooked to perfection… my other friend had the Parm crusted chix sammy and their lobster/crab chowder and no one had a complaints. I give it a 4 star due to the waitress seeming a little cocky while taking our order. She did her job well, but the attitude could use a little adjusting. She still got a decent tip.

Went for lunch will not go back. Was seated right away, that was great but that is where it ended. about 10 minutes later the waiter came by and introduced himself and said he would give us time to look over the menu. We said no we were ready cause we had been waiting a long time. The resturant was fairly empty. He did bring us our drinks and 1 small piece of bread but we were 2. He brought our food in about 15 minutes but even after we asked for refills he never brought them to us. The food was not good but the only time he returned was to bring us our check. Picked up the check without saying a word and when he returned with it he call then credit card holder by first name like they were the best of friends, very strange. Service was very poor and the food was not good either.

I was asked if I wanted to go out for lunch by my wife, but I wanted to go check out Crimson… however shed had a $ 3 off coupon for Longhorn. We tried the firecracker chicken roll appetizers and they were good but a little on the salty side. The Burger I ordered was a Mushroom Swiss for 8.99 which I ordered Medium well and it was cooked perfectly — the thing was huge-at least 1⁄3 of a pound. I liked the fries too they had a seasoning that wasn’t too intense so I used the pepper grinder on them. I checked out the better half’s salad and it was also huge with mandarin orange, red grapes, candied cashews, feta, strawberries and chicken. The good thing was there was all fresh green lettuce-no crappy iceburg or wilted stuff either. I think the meal ended up costing 35 for the 2 of us with drinks but I enjoyed it and left feeling full.

Of course I did the call ahead seating so when I arrived on a Friday night I only had to wait about 5 more mins. Never been here before, had one back home but it burned down and they never rebuilt it. After my first visit kinda wish they would have. The place was decorated in the southwestern style of course. Tastefully done, not over the top cheesy or knockoff in-your-face-hi-i’m-cheap-as-hell crap either. A nice median. The drinks were hit or miss though. I ordered a strawberry magarita to start. It was their fancy highlighted drink and even came with a rock candy dipper. It truly did taste fruity and great, but no alcohol? I’m not an alcoholic but if I’m paying that price at least get me tipsy so I don’t mind paying that much. So when dinner came out I thought that would try one more drink and ordered an ultimate margarita. Holy cow, ride em’ cowboy, hold to your hats. Even Charlie Sheen couldn’t drink this stuff. No thanks. I asked for a water to water it down. Nope, didn’t work. On to the food. The side salads we both got we pretty good. Usually I only pick at the salad but I ate most of this one. My other half ordered a half a rack of ribs, must’ve been good because I didn’t hear anything out of him while he ate. Mmmmm, now all I have to do is put a rack of ribs in front of him when he runs his mouth and maybe he’ll shut up. Food for thought. I ordered the cowboy pork chops with macroni and cheese. Apparently, the mac and cheese was so good I didn’t get any. My other half ate mine, «I just wanna try it.» The cowboy chops were really good! Thick chops with just the right amount of seasoning and they were tender. Even though I went to a steakhouse I’m definately not disappointed that I didn’t order steak. Next time!

I wasn’t impressed. It’s the average steak chain restaurant with what you would expect in York, overpriced and over-seasoned steaks with bland vegetables. In the same category as Logan’s and the Texas Road House. If you think you’re getting your moneys worth because you order three baskets of the free bread you are not out to eat for good food. The service was fine, but then again it’s just high school girls/guys«memorizing» the specials in the menu. I ordered the Eye of Prime(prime rib). It was cooked to order(medium) however the steak was seasoned way too much with pepper and the au jus was NOT from the beef. It came out of a can. How could I tell? It tasted like salted sausage. Bottom-Line I should have gone to Coomb’s Tavern if I wanted Prime Rib.

Great place for a steak! Nuff said. Been here a few times now, wait staff are really nice. The atmosphere is very nice, I like checking out the cowboys gear hanging from the walls. Food is great, when I’m willing to spend more than a regular place I tyipcally go here. Again I almost always get a steak and a couple sides, they make a nice sweet potato side.

Longhorn steakhouse is one of my favorite places… this being said, I’m not a steak fan, so I can’t say much about the steaks! The atmosphere is much classier than Texas Roadhouse or Logan’s Steakhouse(they are more of a «redneck» styled place in my mind). The wait is also usually less than either of its rivals. A trick that my fiancé and I use to get a nice dinner without the wait at Longhorn is to simply pass through the crowd of people waiting, and go straight to the bar. So if you don’t like waiting for your food and don’t mind sitting at the bar(which is smoke free of course) this is the way to go!(Works at a lot of places.) Drinks are priced the same as at any restaruant bar in the area, no surprise there. They give you a round loaf of tasty-toasty wheat bread with butter to start you off. I’ve gotten appetizers, but regretted it since they are quite large and meal portions are also huge. I usually get either the grilled or fried shrimp entrée with baked potatoe and a salad, and have to take some home with me! My fiancé loves the salmon with mixed veggies. I’ve never had a food complaint or service complaint. Food is always cooked to my liking and I’ve never had to wait too long for drink refills(when I had dinner in the dinning room area instead of at the bar.) The only negative thing I have to say is that this place is alittle pricey in comparison to other places, but I think it is actually worth the extra money in the end since I ususally have enough food for lunch the next day and it is very delicious!(Pricey for me may not be pricey for you… I only graduated college a year ago and I’m trying to save for a house…)
