Perrydell has been a favorite in my family since I was a kid. My dad used to take me for ice cream, milk, and to see the cows, and we still love it! They have a small store with ice cream, milk, baked goods, and other goods from local small businesses. How wonderful to support these businesses! Perrydell chocolate milk is the best I’ve ever tasted-it’s creamy and chocolate-y and wonderful. Go get a gallon right now and you’ll agree. Around the back of the store are the cows. There’s an area with calves that you can visit and pet and love. Perfect for kids and adults alike. There are also the adult cows behind the babies that patrons can visit as well. So much fun! In the Fall, they often open a corn maze for guests that is lots of fun as well. My cousins and I like to stop by for ice cream and to play in the maze(so what if we’re technically adults?). Definitely check it out. Perrydell is a staple to York and if you’re coming to visit, you need to stop by.

Totally loved this place. We just happened to arrive in time(4−5pm) to see the cows being miked and even got to see the baby cows get their bottles. Too cute for words. Small, clean well maintained dairy farm with great ice cream. Only compliant was that my ice cream cone was too big. Haha. You can easier spend an hour here petting the baby cows.

Best milk in York county. Hands down. I think it tastes better than organic. Grazing cows are happy cows. Locally own family owned and operated. They support many other local fruit farms and businesses as well. If you haven’t been, you must go… They also make their own ice cream and butter in the winter.

This was a really neat experience. My husband and I hadn’t seen calves up close since kids, and he had never seen the milking process. The viewing area for the milking was rather hot inside but we held out. The milk and ice cream were amazing! Wish we lived closer than 4 hours away. My husband loved petting the little guys and my favorite part was watching a farm cat licked by a cow. Too cute!

Dairy fresh milk at non insane prices. Freshly made ice cream at reasonable prices as well. I could go on about the pros of Perrydell. I like to take my granddaughter here because she can pet the baby cows and it gives me an excuse to get some top notch milk and ice cream for the house. They have farm fresh butter and some local cheeses and meats for sale as well. There is a bunch of knicknacks in the store as well but I tend to avoid those. Great little dairy store with reasonable prices and excellent quality.

We had the most wonderful visit at Perrydell Farm today. Visiting the cows first and talking to our toddler about where milk comes from was memorable. Finishing that lesson enjoying some of the best ice cream and milk while sitting at a table on the farm was priceless. We will definitely be back again when we are in the area.

5÷20÷2014 Heads-up…no butter until October they need the cream for ice cream. I’m not sure whether to be sad because I need to eat commercial butter or be happy warm weather is here.

perrydell has GREAT milk and ice cream! they have a small selection of homemade breads, produce, cheese, refrigerator items, prepared foods like deli salads(winter garden brand) and premade sandwiches. customer service is always outstanding here and their prices are extremely fair. their milk is delicious — and for a special treat try their chocolate milk — it’s so much better than any other kind you’ve ever had!

Let me clear regarding my five star rating – this is for their milk only! Perrydell has, by far, the best milk I’ve ever tasted in my life. I drink the skim(nonfat) milk and it’s hard to believe it’s actually non-fat. Very smooth, very rich, and not at all like the watery, tasteless nonfat milk I’ve had with other brands. The only bad thing about Perrydell milk is that it has absolutely spoiled me from drinking any other type of milk. My family now makes special trips to Perrydell(about 20 minutes away) to stock up on the best milk ever.

I love taking my kids to Perrydell Farm. While enjoying an ice cream cone made right there with their own cows’ milk, we can walk around back and visit the calves and check out the adult cows in their open barn. If your timing is right, you can watch them being milked through a large window inside the milking parlor. My kids have been lucky enough to bottle-feed the calves too! A beautiful setting in the country. Inside the store you can buy their milk, ice cream to take home, lots of baked breads and homemade dishes to go. Small selection of fresh produce; coffee on the spot; gosh — tons of candy; and country-style gifts. It’s a great place to spend an hour or so with the kids. One of our favorite things to do when we have friends visit.

A cozy little farm store stocked with lots of local goods. Of course they have their own milk as they are a dairy farm, but I will not claim that it tastes so much better and fresher like some people do. It tastes fine, but to me there is fresh milk and milk that is spoiled. The shop has homemade things like ice cream, candies, baked goods, sandwiches, soups, and I even saw salsa. Not as stocked as local convenience stores, but it is refreshing to see locally made products. The self guided tour is interesting for children, or if you have never seen a cow up close. You just walk around to behind the store and you can see and pet some calves. There were about a dozen of them that were anywhere from a month to 2 months old or so. You can also see the grown dairy cows. I believe you can see them being milked if you show up at the right time. Their tour sheet lists them as being milked twice daily. It is also nice they have a hand washing station placed nearby. I say stop by and support your local farmers if you are in the area, but no need to go out of your way to see this if you’ve already experienced being on a farm.

On one of the first spring days of the year my husband and I ventured out on an afternoon joyride.(As my mother used to say, we just followed our noses!) We happened upon a local dairy and decided to stop in and take a look. What a great find! Perrydell Farms is small, but in my opinion their dairy products can’t be beat! We bought heavy cream, milk, vanilla milk, and butter. I haven’t used the heavy cream yet(I guess I’ll have to make some desserts to use it up!), the vanilla milk is gone, the whole milk got rave reviews when I served it to my grandchildren for supper, and the butter… oh, the butter. It’s wonderful! I wouldn’t cook with it(too pricey), but we spread it on our homemade Easter bread, and I just couldn’t get enough of it. Creamy and airy — made my regular brand of butter look(and taste) like yellow bricks of lard. We also treated ourselves to ice cream while we were there, and it was yummy. Perrydell also sells bags of candy, some bakery products, bags of «gourmet» pasta, etc. I did buy some chocolate covered almonds, but nothing else enticed me(particularly the baked goods). We will definitely be making regular trips to Perrydell, particularly since it’s very close to our house. Let’s hear it for serendipity!

Perrydell is a prime example of how dairy should be produced in this country – by local family farmers instead of large conglomerates and quasi-cooperatives who rape the profits from the farmers doing the bulk of the work. In addition to their delicious rBST-free milk, check out their fabulous ice cream and butter.

Perry Dell is a wonderful place to visit with children. The staff is very friendly and encourages children to ask questions and participate with the animals. My 5yr old was able to provide a milk bottle to a young calf. They produce gallons of milk on site and it’s very fresh and very local. Stop in and have fun!
