THE best-​equipped gym I have ever been to. Power racks, free weights, ab and oblique benches, dozens of machines and cable stations, plus a second floor full of treadmills.
Highly recommended, and membership prices are reasonable.

It’s amazing place to go. They’re doing renovations but when it’s done it’s going to be 10x better. the open gym is fun to play basket ball, the fitness center is awesome, the pool is warm, the air in the pool area is 80 degrees they have a hot tub, sauna an steam room. A lot of free fitness classes… Email them and schedule a tour it’s amazing

The JCC is probably the best value for your dollar in the York area as far as gyms go. While not huge (though as of this review they are planning an expansion); they have enough equipment to keep me from getting bored, a swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, personal trainers, masseuses, classes, and child care. The key though is that the staff is really, really, no-​fooling, really nice.
Going to a gym for people who haven’t been can be intimidating, but the staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to answer any question you might have. It does get fairly busy at peak times, but I haven’t found myself with nowhere to go while I was there yet.
And, no, you don’t have to be Jewish to join — it is open for everyone.
