Awful. Agree with the other poster that this should be called«Worst plumbing» lol. I ordered about $ 5-$ 8K in material to redo a bathroom. The order was placed 12÷4÷15 and told it would take 3 – 4 weeks. Today is April 7, 2016 — still don’t have all of my parts. We’ve called many times and are always told«the end of this week.» They don’t care about their customers and have no sense of time. We’ve had a tiled, painted, ready to go bathroom for months on end that cannot be used due to «Best» plumbings crappy service. Plus you pay an arm and a leg for product which I really think might be exactly the same as the kohler products sold on the Internet. I will never ever go back There.

Overpriced and do not answer questions straightforward. Bounced to two different sales reps. Tried to upsell me items not needed at time of purchase. Was about to make a purchase, glad husband stopped transaction. Found all items at different store same Kohler name same Kohler UPCs half the price. Avoid!!!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience here, I’m a Decorator for 35 years, and know the amount of things to be considered for Kitchens and Baths are mind-numbing. K&B are not my forte, and have happily worked with Best for many years(inc my own kitchen and Bath), but in Scarsdale store; this was my first project here. Made a prior appointment with Annette, and we arrived with blueprints in hand. We had her full attention and focus the entire time, and she ‘read’ my clients goals and taste perfectly, contributing ideas and respecting preferences, each in the exact right proportions. In 4 hours we explored many different options, and ended up creating 4 creative and different bathrooms, a kitchen and entry floor. Am genuinely puzzled by previous reviews., K&Bs are real hot-button rooms-lots to consider, and a big investment. I know people get frustrated, even feel overwhelmed because once they get into it, they realize they have more questions than they want to have… or think they can afford to have. But just because you want it to be quick and easy won’t automatically make it so. Sure, a casual walk-through is always a good idea… but walk in empty-handed, and maybe on an empty stomach, and with another appointment somewhere else in 45 minutes-or, make fast decisions just to get them behind you will pretty much guarantee you will not be happy. As a design professional I have to say my experiences with Best have been stellar, across the board. The showrooms are fashion-forward, the people knowledgeable, and-wait for it-fairly priced to boot… and looking fw to my next experience working with Annette!

I went to the Best showroom this week looking to replace shower towel bars from a bathroom renovation I did with them several years ago. Well, they must of realized(part in hand) I was not there to spend big dollars because although there were four salespersons available, NOT one asked if I needed help or acknowledged I was in the showroom! SNOBS! I walked out and will visit N&S where they are very friendly and have great products!

Should be called«Worst Plumbing Tile & Stone» Would give 0 stars if it was possible. Wife and I redid our bathroom recently. Ordered more than $ 7,000 worth of material from this place on a Saturday morning. Was guaranteed delivery for Tuesday. Tuesday arrives, no delivery. My contractor, plumber, and myself were left waiting. Called showroom and was bounced around then transferred to the warehouse. Gave them the salesman’s name and their disgusted response was«Oh, him?» Delivery arrived the next day and 2 items were missing. Wife and I had to drive around Westchester looking for these items as the contractor needed to install them. When the job was finished, we had parts left over. Returned to Best for credit and had no choice but to deal with the same incompetent salesman. Placed the few parts and the original receipt on his desk, right in front of him. He prints out a credit receipt. As I’m heading out the door, I noticed the credit was far less than the original purchase price. Went back and his excuse was: «Oh. I made an error. You bought nickel finish and I gave you credit for satin». Can you believe such incompetence, not once but twice? Will never, ever do business with this company again. Highly NOT recommended. There are many fine, reputable plumbing supply companies in Westchester. Believe me, this is NOT one of them.

My husband and I recently renovated two of our bathrooms. The process of selecting every item for each bathroom was overwhelming. Fortunately, we had a partner in Anne Davidson at Best Plumbing in Yorktown. Anne guided us in our selection process so that the end product reflected our style while staying within our budget. She suggested where we might be wise to spend a little more, and where we could spend somewhat less. Anne exceeded our expectations by taking the initiative to research less costly alternatives to accessories we liked without compromising the overall design and cohesiveness of each room. Any questions we had got a timely response, and we were kept abreast of the delivery status of every item so that our contractor could plan accordingly. I suggest that you call Anne in advance to schedule an appointment. That way she can give you the attention you require.

This store has a great selection, and we wanted to purchase from them when we did our bathroom renovations. The problem is the staff and service. After waiting a very long time for someone to help us– granted, they were busy that day– the saleswoman rushed us through the store, wanting us to make quick selections. She was impatient with questions, and did not seem like she wanted to spend time with us, even though we were doing a major product and we would be purchasing quite a bit. She gave us a printout of prices, and told us that if we decided to order from them and gave her our contractor information, they could work with us on price. A few days later we were looking around their Scarsdale store. I explained to the sales person there that we already had someone helping us in Yorktown, and she said no problem, that she could answer questions for us but that we would ultimately purchase from the Yorktown person. Fine. This saleswoman actually was helpful, and we were able to make some final selections. When I called the original sales person in Yorktown and told her that I had visited the Scarsdale store, she became very annoyed with me. I really didn’t understand why she was so snippy, as she would be getting the sale, but in any event she could not hide her irritation. When I gave her our contractor information and asked for the new pricing, the new«lower» pricing she quoted was higher than she had originally quoted us without the contractors discount. When I pointed this out and asked why, she replied, «It just is.» Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere. I try to shop at brick and mortar stores and I don’t mind paying higher prices when I get good service. But here they charge premium prices for poor service and treatment. I am giving Best 2 stars instead of 1 only because I did get decent help at the Scarsdale store.

This story starts bad, ends up ok, with a bit of frustration along the way. Placed order in April, paperwork lost, it was never processed, no one called me. I sent emails saying OK, my job is coming up, is everything ready for pickup? They didn’t answer emails. So I got the person on the phone and she says Well, I changed jobs so I haven’t checked that email in a while, someone else was supposed to track it. Oops. That was unfortunate. When my contractor showed up ready to do job, nothing was ready. This set back our job. Repeated calls indicated that the vanity would be ready«in three weeks,» «next Thursday,» and«Monday» none of which came to pass, because it was backordered and on a boat presumably from Asia. This was an opportunity for mild heroics — to say«We screwed up, but we won’t let our screw up mess you up, so we ordered the piece from a competitor to make sure you had it on time, even though we took a loss on it» or if it is not available say«OK, we screwed up, but we can design and get built a piece to the same specs by a local cabitnet-maker, no additional charge to you.» That would have been fine. Meanwhile, the order placed in April has not been delivered yet and it is almost November. I am not dinging them because they made a mistake — everyone makes mistakes. The ding for service culture and the way they passed their problem on to me, which was costly because it delayed a job. Now my plumber has to come back 2x, who pays for that? I do. In the end it worked out OK — they went to quite a bit of effort to make sure that the vanity was delivered as soon as it was unpacked from its supplier’s warehouse — they sent a courier to go get it. The called often with status updates, and they knocked something off the price for my troubles. Overall, it could have been better, and I wish I didn’t have to Unilocal-hame them in order to get their attention that the service recovery was not up to par, but my bathroom is done and I’m ready to move on. Word to the wise: important to follow-up on orders; these guys are resellers and some parts are out of stock or discontinued. Stay on top of them.
