Average deli… need better quality breads. Wacky sandwiches sound great but cheap bread, soggy potatoes and non crispy bacon make it Mediocre

This is a solid deli that knows exactly how to serve up some great sandwiches. The place was hopping when my friends and I arrived, but the service was smooth and we had our orders in and sandwiches in hand extremely quickly. I ordered my go-to sandwich, the Italian — great proportions and super fresh ingredients. Definitely going back to try the wacky! P. S. The sign now says Heavy Bear instead of Dante’s if you are looking for it.

I can only comment on the wacky, which was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Give it a shot, the jacky wacky is great too. On my first bite, there was an explosion of flavor. Eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, and a solid bread to hold it all together. Their staff is really friendly and they have places to sit and chow down. Gotta say, I’m pretty happy I found this random gem in the middle of Yorktown.

Sam is terrific and friendly, and these guys make some mean(and reasonably) priced sandwiches! Sadly, I can only make it to visit these guys in the afternoon, and sometimes they close up even earlier than their stated 4pm closing time. They also shut the grill off around 1:30−2pm(presumably after the lunch rush) so nothing hot/cooked after that. If you can get here earlier than that, I highly recommend Dante’s!

Literally the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The Jacky Wacky(2 eggs, bacon, ham, home fries & jack cheese) with salt, pepper & ketchup. They also offer the standard Wacky, which is without the jack cheese. From the workers to the food, this small town deli offers only the very best. They’ve got plenty of seating and have a bunch of deli options in addition to an assortment of hot foods. They also have a «food challenge» called«The Super Bombero» which is described as «2 ½ lbs. of bliss.» It contains: 6 eggs, 3 sausage + bacon + ham + steak, home fries, jack cheese and hot peppers on a wedge roll. «Try it if you dare.»

The wacky is a days meal in itself. It is so good, and definitely fills you up. You only can have once in awhile lol. They have a great bfast and lunch menu, and I will definitely be coming back here. Time for a nap, I’m full!

I seriously have cravings for a wacky. Like a pregnant woman. I’m so sad I live 400 miles away from this place. I have contemplated driving back just to get one. Damn wacky’s. I used to get these all the time when I was in high school and the DMV driver used to let us drive here get our sandwich, eat it and then drive back. I’ll never forget that. Thanks Dante’s for giving me my childhood. I’ve asked people to put their potatoes on the sandwich and they just look at me funny.

I was in the neighborhood(waiting for UPS to open) and decided to grab a Sammy. They have something called a Wacky here that includes home fries on your bacon, egg & cheese. As much as I wanted to give it a whirl, I opted for my standard, BEC, PK which is bacon, egg & cheese with pepper and ketchup. The place was constantly busy. What surprised me was the number of school age kids at 10:30 in the morning. Maybe the local St. Pats was closed. Anyway, the sandwich was good, the coffee fresh. Next time I’ll get wacky. Or get A wacky, take your pick!

This is a cute deli that you walk into where everyone knows your name and the food looks tasty. I love little hometown delis. It felt warm and inviting even though it is a typical NY deli and barebones.

Everyone talks about the«Wacky» — Bacon, Ham, Eggs, potatoes on a roll. I would say I am more of a «Stacky» guy. This is a modified wacky with sandwich steak on it. I know, I know,… Heart attack, someday, this guy,. I get it, but it’s so darn good I just don’t care. Most reviews will focus on the breakfast sandwiches, which is understandable, but I have lunch there too. I have had the Philly cheese steak, which was nearly authentic and very tasty. I have also enjoyed the chef salad, but I suspect the better cuts of lettuce we retained for the sandwiches. It was late in the day when I ordered it, so that could have been it too,. either way the food is good so on that one occasion they get a pass. Additionally, I wish the muffins were a bit better, but then again, I am a bit of a muffin snob, as is my girlfriend We live close by and enjoy grabbing some quick breakfast on the weekends. One thing we especially enjoy is that the grill is out front where you can watch your food being made. This is a minor, but nice detail. Talking about it has gotten me hungry all of a sudden. I think I’m gonna go get a Stacky right now. PS — I love the signed picture of Mike Tyson declaring his love for the wacky.

I really don’t know how I could be the first to write a review for Dante’s. Two words, «The Wacky.» priced great. Always friendly guys in there. Always busy but never wait more than five mins. Go!
