Dear Dudes and Dudettes, all I can say is half priced Baby-Back Ribs on Tuesdays(dine in only). I’ve had them 5 times already and only once have I been disappointed which was yesterday… very dry and they didn’t fall off the bone although that’s not stopping me from going back as often as I can. The other reviewers were right when they mentioned the service being a little slow but the servers are always super friendly. The bar area can get a little noisy but that only adds to the ambiance while being a carnivore and gnawing on my ribs. If I had to find one fault with Kirby’s and I’m reaching here, is that on Tuesdays probably because of the discounted ribs, customers come down from Dutchess County. I’m trying so hard not to sound mean although some of these patrons are kinda scary. Did the Indian Point nuclear reactor leak while the winds were blowing north? Anyway, enjoy your ribs!

We have been two times(once in 2015 and once recently) and both times the wait was so long that it was just ridiculous. To order fried food and pizza and wait for 30 minutes just doesn’t make sense. Especially when the pizza isn’t as good as boring old Dominoes Pizza and the grilled cheese is just OK — Friendly’s grilled cheese would beat it. The curly fries are good and the waiter this time was very, very nice. Last time he(a different waiter) was doing us a favor by being there.

Had the big hefty burger(Fired egg bacon sandwich between two grilled cheese sandwiches) which was really good and wife had a cherry boom salad(asian style salad) that wasn’t bad it was a Cool bar just wish they had bigger TVs we sat in the area with the tables but they had booths near the bar area wasn’t too crowded for an early Saturday night but definitely looks cool to go watch a game there they even have an all you can eat buffet for football Sundays that sounds pretty cool service was ok. waiter ignored us and if it wasn’t that we were having so much fun we wouldn’t have noticed that we never got any water after having all that food and two beers i mean its standard unless your out of th country to get some water i don’t want to sound like i’m not picking but its the little things that make you great.‘like i said their food was decent. curly fries were killer and the coconut shrimp was not too shabby either probably be back with my friends if i can convince them to drive up… well run etablishment

Kirby’s is an awesome family owned hidden treasure of Yorktown. Best BBQ around. Be sure to try the ribs. The Kirby Burger is topped with bacon and pulled pork yumm. Portions are big and the food is the best around :) You can choose a booth up front by the big bar area or a table in the dining room in the back. They even host/cater private parties back there. Definitely worth checking out!

I stop by here from time to time when the other bars in the area aren’t looking appealing. My girl friends and I stopped here the other night and had a nice time. Strong drinks, good music, attentive service and an overall nice night. Pros: Mixed drinks run about $ 7. Had an appealing bar menu but did not try anything. Great parking Con: right in the middle of a cop heavy town, watch out for DUIs

Moist juicy burgers with a lot of options for toppings. Ribs are delicious too. And a huge variety for dessert including chocolate layer cake and fried cheesecake.

I have been eating at their places since they owned«Ribs on the Run» on Central Ave in Yonkers. Great place(very casual) for the guys, or for families. Great chicken n ribs, and don’t forget to try the NY Strip Steak because it’s awesome!

Ate at Kirby’s for the first time yesterday for lunch. I’ve heard all sorts of great things about it being great for families and a great meal. I don’t agree. The onion rings, while made of real onion, were definitely pre frozen. Ick. And my burger was also pre-frozen and tasted old. I was very disappointed. Wings were pretty good and so was the service. First time and last time.

Went for drinks and when we got there we were served right away… there were 2 other people at the bar and our next drink took 25 minutes to get. TWENTY. FIVE. MINUTES. The bartender did shots with her friends, did her makeup, talked to another friend, drank her red bull, said«fuck those glasses I’m not cleaning them» and only when we summoned her did she FINALLY bring us another beer. Bad experience and HORRIBLE bartender.

The owner of the place is a cool guy. First time i ever went he gave my family an i a slice of cake on the house. All the food is delish and it’s really good portions. The stack fries and pulled pork sandwich i recommend! They also had good deal on drinks.

Kirby’s is the best spot in Yorktown. Get the cheddar pints. Kirby’s really captures that«neighborhood» feel and makes you feel comfortable.

I’ve eaten here a few times and have always had a good experience. Came in for lunch today with hubby and 2 year old daughter. We happen to be the only ones in the booths, everyone else was at the bar. I ordered my daughter a grilled cheese(which also comes with a dessert) and an orange juice bc they didn’t have apple. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries and the hubs ordered an open faces Pastrami Sandwich. We both really liked out meal and as always we were satisfied. For my daughters dessert I ordered her the cookie that had a fudgy chocolate middle and was topped with whipped cream — it was just okay. Would have been better if it was served with ice cream but ice cream is another option for the kids dessert I guess they don’t allow you to get the cookie a la mode — that’s the only thing I didn’t care for. Our server who I believes name is Mike was great. He refilled my drink without being waved down or asked — that is always a bonus for me bc I’m big on my beverage refills. They really deserve 4 ½ stars. :)

A few of my friends raved about this place especially the ribs, so tonight I went with my son and a friend, my son had the ribs they were mediocre at best the fries were blah, nothing special. I decided on two apps pulled pork sliders and chicken fajitas. The pulled pork sliders were totally dry and mostly bread, the chicken fajitas mostly bread and American cheese very little chicken(see photo) of the remnants I left behind. Service was barley adequate and we never got water. Had to get his attention for soda refils and all in all I won’t go back!

Great local bar and grill with all the classic American bar favorites from burgers to wings to a little thing called«The Big Hefty.» I won’t spoil the surprise, but definitely bring your appetite. A great lineup of traditional beer offerings as well as some speciality brands and local favorites. And what American eatery would be complete without a full schedule of liquor? Bartenders are friendly and conversational, just like their regular patrons. My favorite day to go is Sunday for football! It’s a jovial and boisterous atmosphere, perfect for cheering on your favorite teams.

We were enticed to come after finding a great deal on Unilocal, but I was not impressed. The BBQ chicken was over cooked, and the actual sauce tasted like it came from the dollar store and finally… the slaw was over dressed… DRENCHED! WOMPWOMPWOOOOMP. It was also pretty crazy that none of the wait staff, other than the manager, knew how to correctly discount our deal. They tried to charge me $ 40 when clearly I prepaid $ 20 for a $ 40 deal. And having all of your staff smoke and eat outside of the kitchen, which is next to the entrance, can be pretty disgusting. Watching the guy suck his fingers dry before making my salad doesn’t exactly make me want to jump into the food. In their defense the portions were large, ribs were OK, and my salad was hearty… but how could you mess up a salad?

Very laid back local bar. Bartenders are always fun to talk to, esp the girl with the red streaks! I have never ever liked pulled pork. It always takes likes shredded rags dipped in a gallon of BBQ sauce. Until I came here! Their pulled pork sandwich on texas toast is awesomeeee. I also recently tried the buffalo chicken dip which was also delicious. Overall: Casual bar scene — parking — solid food Only con is the prices in general are on the high side.

My Husband and I came here last night on a whim as I had bought the $ 40 for $ 20 deal and as a lovely surprise, Tuesday is also 50% off of ribs(full rack is $ 11.50 and a half is $ 8.50) GREATDEAL! As an FYI the $ 40 for $ 20 cannot be used on Tuesday rib night, which is fair. They also have a great deal on a flight right now, 4, 6 ounce beers for 8 dollars if you go with their 4 choices. They’re all new ones they have on tap so they want to get customers to try it. We started with the corn nuggets(NOT healthy at all, but delicious. They also have their homemade BBQ sauce on the table that we dipped those in). It’s tangy and a little spicy… loved it. My Husband had the full rack and I had the veggie burger. They allow you to sub in a side salad or another kind of potato for the fries. I subbed a side salad and hubby spent the extra $ 4 bucks for the mac and cheese. It was a HUGE portion and I think they crumble nips or cheeze its on the top along with mountains of molten cheese. The total bill(app, beer flight, pint of angry orchard cider and two meals was $ 54 dollars). Husband came away with a full half rack and half of his mac&cheese as well as my coleslaw(which was great too). Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, even though it looked like she had to run back and forth from the main dining room to the bar(where we were seated). They have huge, long booths(that’s what she said) in the bar, in addition to their regular bar seating. Booths could easily sit 6 adults comfortably. Everything appeared to be homemade and it was all delicious. As an FYI the side salad does come with fried tortilla strips in it… if I had known I would have had them omit them… they looked great, but took away from the health factor haha. I would certainly recommend Kirby’s and we’ll be back for sure!

We spent the day biking near Yorktown Heights and after 4+ hrs of biking, we wanted to find a place nearby to grab a well-deserved meal. A quick search on Unilocal led us to Kirby’s Grill and Bar. To start the meal, we were given a basket of complimentary salt and pepper chips. These were on the salty side but were oh so good! Since I was still full from lunch, I decided to get a salad. I couldn’t decide between the Spinach and South Beach salads because I loved elements of both salads. Fortunately, I didn’t have to choose because the server allowed me to tell him exactly what I wanted and didn’t want– it was mostly a South Beach salad though with mixed greens, cranberries, candied walnuts, bacon, fresh-cut apples, grapes, cucumbers, tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette on the side. The salad was $ 12 and I added grilled shrimp for $ 8. The salad was HUGE! Neither my friend or I could finish the salad and they definitely weren’t skimpy on the ingredients. I almost felt like I had to dig through the salad to get to the mixed greens and that rarely happens when you have a salad from a restaurant. The grilled shrimp, on the other hand, was not worth the price. I think I had maybe 3 shrimp that were sliced down the middle. The shrimp was also a bit over-cooked. The rest of the table ordered: Corn nuggets — Our friend was super excited to see this on the menu!(Our college dining hall used to serve these all the time! But it’s not very common in NYC. and can’t seem to find it in the frozen food aisle either.) The crispy creamed corn-filled nuggets were just how I remembered but could have been a tad warmer. I like mine piping hot! $ 7 for an order of corn nuggets was a bit steep though. Chicken quesadillas — Nothing special, very cheesy but didn’t have a lot of chicken. This was an appetizer portion so it was on the small side. French onion soup — Hot and cheesy but not too salty. Pastrami sandwich — Served open-faced on a grilled knish, looked interesting but too much potato since it is served with choice of fries or mashed potatoes. Pulled pork sandwich — Served on Texas toast which looked very heavy. Our friend just ate the pulled pork! Steak fajitas — Steak was served on a sizzling platter with rice, peppers and onions, and other accompaniments on another plate. All in all, it was an enjoyable meal. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The wait on a Sat night wasn’t too bad and we were able to hang out by the bar while a table opened up. The staff was friendly and polite. Food was decent but some items might be a tad pricey for the quality of food. If we are in the neighborhood again, I would def consider going back.
