Good drink prices and they let you use the bathroom if you’re at the beach. Good food, friendly staff. Only place to buy cigarettes on the beach.

Food is good but always inconsistently portioned. 2nd time I have been here in a week and both times my friend and I ordered the same thing on one day then something else different on another day. Both times one of our sandwiches were 30% percent bigger than each other’s regardless of them being the same thing. The burgers are not half pound like they say either.

Awesome pub in a historic area. Parking can be difficult due to traffic/people at the local beach. Decent selection of draft beer, much better selection of bottled. We had drinks and appetizers during our visit. The calamari was fantastic and the beers were cold.

Five stars the crab cakes were big but seemed to have too much bread filling and it was especially loud but a great place overall

This is a lively and friendly local bar. Everyone’s friendly and welcoming. Customer service is outstanding. They have the best bar tender ever. He didn’t skip a beat serving a busy bar. I like the fact that they have live bands as well. The price for our food and drinks are very reasonable. I love this place. This is the place to hang out to drink and eat good food, and have a great time. Thanks YP — Mark & Michelle

Stopped in this afternoon with the parents, and this is definitely my new favorite place to eat in the area. There was a wait list at 1, which tells me this place is good. We didn’t have to wait long, so that was awesome. My mom is big on grading every place that serves her a Bloody Mary, and theirs was ONPOINT. We were sat in Cheryl’s section. She had the sweetest disposition, she was attentive and super quick. I highly recommend her as a server. We got the Ahi tuna starter, as well as the nachos, but got pulled pork instead of chili. STOPTHEBUS. THEPULLEDPORKISTHEBEST I’VEHADINTHEAREA! The nachos were so huge that it probably would have fed us The Ahi tuna was amazing. It had a peppery flavor and you really don’t even need the ranch(I still used it because I’m a fat kid). We also had clams. HOLYCOW. it disappeared between my mom and I, in two minutes flat. Do yourself a favor and go to YTP, but dont forget to ask Cheryl. Outstanding service!

With friends in town from out of state and Mother’s Day to celebrate, we thought we would drive over from Williamsburg and introduce them to Yorktown and grab a bite to eat at what was once a friendly pub. Granted the hostess was super nice and we were able to get in right away, our server Jen was so rude to our table my daughter started crying and couldn’t eat because she was so upset. She literally ruined Mother’s Day lunch for us. The entire table of adults have all been in the industry and yes, Mother’s Day is one of the busiest days in the business but to treat your livelihood in the manner we were treated, is unacceptable. Of course she put on an automatic gratuity because she knew we were upset. If you are in the w

Came here due to the recommendations on Unilocal. Not disappointed! I had the fried soft shell crab sandwich — first time ever for that. I would recommend it. All the other reviews are true, check this place out if you can.

The Yorktown Pup is unique and quirky. It’s not fancy but you really don’t want it to be. Driving there on the Colonial Parkway, accompanied by a walk on the beach and an ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s is a great evening or afternoon. Try it, it’s fun!

Not only is the Yorktown Pub a staple of Yorktown it seems to be as old as the historical site itself. Everyone from families to bikers to motorcyclist 2 out-of-towners and locals all alike come to hang out around awesome food awesome people and great drinks! With the views set aside you can come in and let all your worries away Jam to some music and just relax and have a great time. If you’re ever in the Yorktown area or visiting one of our other historical areas like Williamsburg or Jamestown even Virginia Beach and Norfolk the Yorktown Pub is a place where you have to stop. Yes there is a lot of locals but isn’t that the sign of a good place if you can’t find parking let our parking lot attendant help you or it’s not that far of a walk from the parking garage it’s so worth the wait! A must see if in the area don’t pass this little place up also don’t forget to say hello to our kitty cats!

What more do you want? Friendly staff, beautiful beach view, local beers… I had a dozen raw oysters and a local Alewerks beer. Both were fantastic. Couldn’t ask for anything more from a local pub for a quick dinner. $ 15 will keep you happy here.

Can never find seating there always to busy and some people stand but I’m disabled and need to sit and have never been offered a chair.

I had not been here in probably 15 years. It has not changed a bit, and that is a good thing. Typical pub fare plus all the stuff you want to eat being so close to the water. Good specials from which to choose as well. DH and I had a very big and filling late lunch for $ 30, including a nice tip. Nice view of the river. Friendly attentive staff, too. If there is no parking in front, that’s OK because there is a municipal lot just to the left, with plenty of spaces.

I have been to this place a couple of times, it is very good food in a trendy beach atmosphere but you pay for it. The staff is nice, very personable and prompt.

What can I say a friend of mine«said to me» that York Town beach has very good restaurants and wanted to try one, we looked around and discovered a hidden treasure, when we first walk into this pub it reminded me of Malibu, the bar, tables and the wall menu. The place was busy but it was worth it. The menu was seafood oriented, we decided to try the flounder, fried and grilled. It was excellent cooked to perfection. The service was good and the ambiance was right for the setting. If your in the York Town beach area, give it a try! You won’t regret it.

The Yorktown Pub was our choice because of all the local cars parked out front. Besides that, we love to visit small diners instead of the bigger touristy ones. This one was right in the middle of what we normally choose. There were four of us visiting Yorktown and at the Pub. Between us we ordered the mushrooms, fish and chips and the special of the day, scallops. Cole slaw was very, very creamy and yummy. Mushrooms were good but both the fish and the scallops were a little over cooked and on the dry side. Our server was great. I think a 3 star rating is about perfect for this place and we wouldn’t hesitate to stop again and try another item on their menu.

I use to frequent Yorktown Pub quite often when I worked in the area eight years ago. I was happy to get back in the area and can tell you that nothing has changed. It is still a great beach pub serving up great food, drinks and they know how to bring the service. Parking can be a challenge in the busy Summer season and locals know it and either deal, or know some tricks. There is awesome parking right down in front if you are lucky enough to get it. On a weekday coming in at opening 11AM I had no issue. There is a parking lot right beside them that is public, but no very big considering it is used by beach goers. The larger parking area is the nearby garage, it’s a little hike but not bad. The area in the front presented well and was clean. I talked to a few employee’s and joked with them that I had not been there for years and I’m sure everything changed. They laughed and said it’s been the same for 20 years under the same owner and still is a great place. They were right, when I walked in it was exactly the same, well except for a flat screen TV now at the bar. Wood floors, wood tables, wood chairs, fireplace that is great in the Winter, the long bar across the back and just the overall feel of a colonial tavern is the vibe I always got. My waitress was right on top of my drink order. Not a lot of taps to get excited about here, but I did like that they had Legend’s Brown Ale on tap and ordered up. It did not take me long to figure out what I wanted as I recalled my favorite sandwich on the menu from the day. The Prime Rib sandwich always did for me, I could see the price went up, but it’s been years. The crowd began to really build by 11:30AM. Within 20 minutes by sandwich was out and looked as mammoth as I remembered. It also tasted as good as I remember with lettuce, tomato and mayo packets on the side if you so choose which I did. It is a fantastic juicy filling sandwich with a fresh hoagie bread. On my waitresses recommendation I got the potato salad which was really delicious. My server check in on my at least once, but did so in the middle of the meal. Earlier on would have been the correct timing, I did not need anything however and she was friendly the entire time. The bill arrived and it was a little over $ 18. I hit up the restroom prior to departing and found them clean with proper supplies. Just outside the restroom is a glass case souvenir T-Shirt area if your interested in wearing Yorktown Pub wear. My visit has so many great memories rush back of playing hooky at work for an extra long lunch break and enjoying some great food and watching the view of the Yorktown Beach. This place wreaks atmosphere and I do love it! I would love to get up there again soon and not wait under 7 – 8 years.
