I consider myself to be a bit of a snob when it comes to(Americanized) Chinese food, and this place is great! I don’t recommend dining in(just a small number of dusty tables littered with newspapers and bright lighting). I was very pleasantly surprised at the flavor and quality both times I recently ordered take-out. I ordered(first visit) vegetables in garlic sauce, hot and sour soup, and pork egg rolls. The garlic sauce was savory, flavorful, and(surprise!) actually contained garlic! The hot and sour soup had the perfect balance of hot and sour; not too heavy on either. The egg rolls were wonderfully crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and generously portioned. The second visit warranted the hot and sour soup and egg rolls(they were so good the first time!) and I also ordered tofu with garlic sauce, vegetable fried rice, and Schezwan(I know I’m spelling that incorrectly) chicken. None of these dishes disappoint. The only thing I would recommend as a vegetarian-dishes lover(I’m not vegetarian; I just love vegetables) is to provide a little more variety with the vegetables. ALL the dishes I ordered were extremely heavy on the broccoli. I love broccoli, but it would have been nice to have a more balanced(mushrooms? Baby corn?) variety of vegetables in the dishes. Bamboo Garden is a little gem in a broken down strip mall! Oh– and the prices are incredible for what you get! Great job!
