Inner Circle has perhaps the second best pizza in the greater Youngstown area next to Wedgewood, and this location has the best food of all their locations. The atmosphere is dark and divey, as you would expect from a campus location. The drinks are average price and quality. If you’re on campus and want good food without getting fancy, Inner Circle is the way to go.

Every week we try a new or different pizza place in Youngstown. Today, we went to Inner Circle downtown at YSU before the men’s Basketball game:) We ordered the thick crust pizza with sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms and we ordered our pizza crispy… We also ordered the buffalo sticks. The pizza came out and I think they forgot to put the pepperoni on it because it looked as though they threw it on top, it was also not cooked with the pizza. We also sent back our pizza because it was doughy! That’s just annoying when you have to send something back! Please just make it right the first time and don’t pass it off on the customer like they won’t care. They might not say something but they notice and probably will leave tell their friends and so on… Moving on, the sauce is nothing exceptional and it’s okay, but not great, but not bad either! The mushrooms were fresh and not from a can and I like that! The sausage was good too. I would never crave this pizza or care to go back to get it. If I was there and hungry then it’s okay, but I wouldn’t get it for any other reason. I like the big screen projector TV… Except it is about 30 sec behind all the other TVs so if your there to watch a game that can make a difference. For no one except a few bar patrons this place was dead for a Saturday night before a game!

Calzones and strombolis are fantastic: huge, not too bready, and a few different ingredients to order any way you want. Pizza is good, beer is good, the waiters/waitresses are getting better — it used to take forever to get served. Now, the service is pretty good; and they’re good people too. The place is kind of divey and not the best hangout in the area, but it’s a good place to go for a long lunch break.

Italian fries — I order these each time I go and they never disappoint. I was there a few weeks ago and solely went with appetizers and pizza as those are my favorites from the menu. Their wings are pretty good too.

Horrible service I ordered 30 wings half and half needed up getting a full order of one. Then had to drive back to pick up the actual thing I ordered. They also charge you 20 percent if you use a debit card and don’t tell you. And don’t even bother calling for a manager he won’t ever be there shocker. Never going there again!!!

I had the Spinach and Tomato pizza on a original crust(there are four types of crust that you can choose from). I have to say the crust is different. It was very crispy yet soft on the inside. The Circle Salad with ham, salami, and cheese was interesting. It was one of the better salads that I have had in Youngstown. On the sign outside, this place said that their«wings are hot». The wings do come in three temperatures: mild, hot, and kamikaze. We tried mild and hot in original flavor and thought the wings were pretty plain. Perhaps you have to try the kamikaze to feel the full heat.

Nostalgia strikes everytime I’m in here. I’ve been making memories here since 1979. The calzones and strombolis are excellent. A Circle Salad is also a good option. Beer by the pitcher to «warm up» before a YSU game is the way to go. This is also a great place to watch the YSU Football Homecoming parade(seated by the window of course). There was a time when this area had six bars(the Arcade, the Brass Lion, Chappy’s, Pogo’s, Tony’s and Inner Circle) loaded with young people from all walks of life having fun(and getting hammered). Those were good times. Now it’s only Inner Circle.
