Omg… the Best pizza in Austintown, and beyond! It’s absolutely scrumptious! It’s a little like deep dish, but the crust is absolutely yummy. They have a very vast variety of their great pizza. If you’re a pizza connoisseur, you’re sure to appreciate Wedgewood! The ambiance is laid back & family friendly. Look forward to our next visit! Shout out to Filomena, owner & gracious hostess! #satisfiedcustomer

The best pizza in town! If you are a thin crust lover, this place is not for you – their pan crust is amazing! They are usually very busy, so we typically add at least an additional 5 minutes to the time they give us. It’s cash only. I highly recommend the original everything, sausage, or a white pizza with banana peppers!

haven’t been to Wedgewood probably since I was in HS… well over 20 years ago lol. But while I was in town my lil cousin and I was starving around 11:15pm. Not too much open that late in good olé Ytown area so off I go to Wedgewood. Placed an order for a 12″ w pepperoni and extra cheese. They said 20 minutes. I pulled up and not one car in the parking lot. Did they move in since the last time Ive been here over 20 yrs ago pahahaha. Nope same place. I thought so bc I had rode down Raccoon several times during this trip(mom lives in Austintown) and could’ve sworn I had seen it. Was soo empty. I was surprised seeing as it’s pretty much the only non bar food place open lol. Anyways…pizza was pretty good. The reason for the deduction of 1 star is bc I know it’s good olé Ytown area but cmon man. Who doesn’t take debit cards? You would rather take a check than a debit card!!! Oyi Ve. Glad I saw that before I went bc I had no cash on me at all. Oh well. Good service, fast, and yummy food. Thanks Wedgewood for coming thru for our late night hunger pains!

My pizza did not have the flavor like the Wedgewood in Boardman. This store does not have drinks for eat in customers except from a vending machine and does not take credit or debit cards.

Born and raised in the area I think I teethed on Wedgewood Pizza… the crispy crust would be perfect for that! Not living in the area anymore it’s mandatory that my husband and I stop for a pizza when I’m in the Yo. I also hope to see Fernando as its a joy to see someone living the passion plus he is so freaking nice! The pizza was a lil soggy this time — and the mushrooms tasted like they were from a can… but that’s it — still the great, flavorful, crunchy/crispy — always nice to have a taste of home.

I’m no pizza expert, so I find most pizza to just be A-OK. The pizza was… pizza. We had never been here before, but there was some serious ordering confusion – something about slices and toppings being restricted. The girl at the counter was not very good at articulating herself and the order became pretty difficult, but we did it! We managed to order, receive, and eat some pizza! Miraculous! I wouldn’t turn anyone away from the place, but I can’t honestly rave about it because I just don’t feel qualified!

Crispy pizza crust lovers unite!!! You can even ask for extra crispy if ya so desire! One of my friends suggested this place, as a favorite of his while growing up. I was skeptical because I like what I like, and no it’s not the god awful Chicago deep dish behemoth style… yuck! It’s a bit weird in their delivery of service. It’s set up backwards. You walk in and then have to walk to the back of the restaurant to order. You don’t pay until you walk out the door. They only accept cash, how they survive in this day and age of non computer friendly is ming boggling. There are no others items, not even drinks. You can put your 50cents in the machine and get a can of soda or pop or whatever you call it from the region you’re from. The pizza was amazing and they were even kind enough to make suggestions to me that would be cheaper because I have a finicky tummy and shy away from some items even though I love them. Everyone was super friendly and it’s definitely down home everyone knows your name. They were teasing a little old lady, she was adorable and she was giving them hell right back! Clearly the locals love this place because there was a steady stream of business from 4pm on! Bravo!!!

DONOT get the sandwich pizza. I really like the Wedgewood location. The Sandwich Pizza is not good. Anything else, just fine, the Everything pizza, great, a steal for the money. The Sandwich pizza, not so much. Changing from one to three stars. One lousy awful burnt pizza should not have affected how much I like the place overall.

I was born and raised in Youngstown. I now live in Cleveland but still come to Youngstown to visit. The second place I go(after arriving at my parents’ house) is to pick up an Original Everything pizza from Wedgewood. Every time. Every visit. This is a tradition in our house that will never grow old. As a Youngstown native and an Italian, I understand that people from Youngstown have very strong opinions about their pizza. I have lived all over the country and have yet to find pizza as good as Wedgewood. It’s definitely closer to Chicago style than New York(thicker crust), but is not quite as saucy as Chicago and has that wonderfully greasy quality that mimics pizza from NYC. Thick, crispy crust, light sauce, toppings-heavy and with just a touch of spiciness, Wedgewood pizza is consistent, flavorful, balanced, and has a wonderful mix of textures that result from being slightly well done(the toppings are crispy) in a way that can only be described as perfect. People who like saucy pizza may want to go light on the toppings and order extra sauce, as anyone who knows pizza knows that pizza loaded with too many toppings AND sauce just ends up being a hot wet mess, impossible to fully cook. It seems that Fernando understood this balance, and they pull it off beautifully every time. Recently, I discovered that a chain pizza place was nearby on my way to visit Wedgewood. This just blew my mind. Yes, Wedgewood is cash only. No, they don’t deliver. But the small effort it takes to go physically pick up your pizza is more than worth it. And as a food services worker for more than 25 years, I kind of like that Wedgewood only takes cash. It’s kind of like they«stood their ground» by rejecting the credit card companies and all the ridiculous fees that a business incurs from accepting cards. Don’t ever change, Wedgewood!

Large portions, but the red sauce is pretty bland. You can do better in Youngstown.

Had a 12″ italian sausage, Italian salami, pepperoni, mushroom, & onion pizza. It was amazing. No credit/debit cards was a little weird, as was the no fountain drinks, but otherwise amazing visit. Texas needs one of these…

Girl on other end of phone got the order wrong. Forgot to put pepperoni on pizza. When we called back after we got home. They said at least we didn’t charge you for the pepperoni.

This place has my favorite pizza. Maybe it’s because I grew up here, and it’s been in the same location forever; and I can remember my dad ordering it every Friday before football games, but I still get Wedgewood Pizza every time I come home. I’d recommend the Brier Hill pizza.

Totally do not get the hype. Bland and tasteless pizza. Uptown pizza and Inner Circle have them beat by a landslide.

How this place got reviews saying this is the best pizza in Youngstown is beyond me. We got a red sauce pizza, the sauce was scarce and didn’t have much flavor, the crust is fluffy, crispy and thick. To me it really wasn’t that good, I still prefer dominos or uptowns pizza.

Their everything pizza is better than any pizza I’ve ever had, Chicago and New York included. I haven’t tried any of their other pizzas because this one is the best! Cash only kind of sucks but still worth it.

One of the few things I miss about Youngstown when I am not here. I would definitely say its the best pizza in the area. Owners are super friendly and great employers. My brother worked there when he was younger, and only ever had good things to say. My fave is their seafood pizza, potato pizza, and extra cheese and salami. Omnomnom

I can’t say I’ve had any other pizza in this neighborhood, but I can guarantee you that this one is the best. We drove several miles off the highway because of Unilocal recommendations and we were not disappointed! The owners are The. Nicest. People. on the planet. I challenge you to find nicer people. This pizza was filling and not corporate junk like every other option around. Let’s face it, if you know anything about this area, you’re talking Pizza Hut and McDonald’s. I will give my money to local businesses whenever possible. We had a round pie, but i have a feeling the square is good too. If I ever find myself back in this neck of the woods, i will return. Oh, pro tip — it kind of looked closed from the outside, but it wasn’t. Just go on in! Tell them you were sent from Unilocal

Fernando’s Wedgewood Pizza has been open for years, and has been a staple in my diet since I was born. Fernando has been using the same vendors in Italy since the place opened, which means flavor consistency. He never sacrificed the quality of his product and that says something. This pizza is not only delicious, it typifies the best of Youngstown culture.
