If you have a baby, encountering this store is inevitable. Unfortunately, in the Ann Arbor area there is no store that compares to its large baby selection. Everything there is so marked up that it makes the trips to Buy Buy Baby or ordering off amazon more tempting. My husband and I made the decision to do our baby registry here, there was a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff actually purchased. Our baby, Sofia, was born in June 2014. For our baby shower, everybody brought a pack of diapers(you can safely assume the majority were purchased from babies r us since it is a one stop shop for baby showers) everyone pretty much bought size 1. Today, I went to babies r us to exchange 2 packs of our size 1 diapers for size 2 diapers. I got turned down because I didn’t put the diapers on my registry. EXCUSEME. Who actually puts diapers on their registry? It’s a curtesy gift. It’s like bringing a dish to a potluck. It’s expected of you. But no, they refused. Luckily target next store exchanged all my diapers with no fuss or receipt. There were really cool about letting me swap brands and letting me pay the difference. YAY! 5 stars to Target.

My husband and I went there to get the rest of the stuff we needed for our baby. We still had a lot of questions. The employes were so helpful, they answered all of our questions. One employee kept finding us and asking if we needed help and she was so awesome with answering all of our random questions. It ended up being an awesome shopping trip and we have all we need now for our baby girl!

I’d give this store 2.5 stars if I could. I went there to get the Naked Boppy Pillow, which was on my friends registry for $ 29.99(I ordered the cutest cover from Etsy to go with it). This Babies R Us is smaller than others I’ve been in before and doesn’t carry the Naked Boppy Pillow. They had 3 pillows that with covers for $ 39.99, but I didn’t need the cover, and if I bought one of those, it would still show on her registry that she needed a pillow still. First world problems, I know. I bought some other things and went on my way.

Excellent friendly staff, hard to find a lot of stuff though, many items«low inventory» while registering for baby shower

My friend’s daughter is going to have her first baby. She was registered at Babys R Us. That made shopping for a gift so much easier. So I drive to the store. I already knew where it was — right next to Joann’s. I walked in the door and was greeted right away by a lady sitting at a desk. I told her I was looking for a registry. She pointed me to the kiosk and I looked it up myself. Printed it. Started wandering the store… But I didn’t have to wander for long. The store is actually organized in a logical way. I found a few nice items with only minimal head scratching and only went a little over my target.(Whew! Baby stuff is expensive!) But I know it’s exactly what she wanted, so that’s fine with me. So I was in and out of the store in about 15~20 minutes. The Babys R Us registry and store setup made for a very efficient shopping experience.

I registered at Babies R Us when I was pregnant and they were WONDERFUL! The selection is fine and although their customer service has not been as great as usual, we continue to come back numerous times per month. Going back to registering — Babies R Us was one of the many places that I registered at. They were by far the best. My husband and I were treated like VIPs and when we had to return items it was easy. Their online registration was also top notch. When we went next door to Target, it was a completely different story. They were indifferent, the selection was limited and we NEVER got the online registry to work! Even worse, when I called Target’s customer service line, they could have cared less. This issue with Target has become a trend as a baby shower I threw in December became quite frustrating for the mother-to-be as none of her guests could access her registry through Target. Save yourself the headache and stick w/Babies R Us.

If your having a child Babies R US is just something you are going to have to deal with. I have to recommend BRU over Target for a baby shower registry because they have more selection and the selection turns over less frequently so your registry isn’t full of items that the store no longer carries(which happens frequently at Target). On the downside they are overpriced for essentials such as baby food, wipes, and diapers. Even when on sale + coupon most of these items are more expensive then purchasing at Target. Oddly there are some items that are extremely cheaper at BRU then shopping at Target or even Amazon. I have found most of these items to be in the bottles /feeding section. My protip is that you can return items without a receipt if the item is on your registry. You can also add items to your registry at any time, even after your shower. Cheers + Unbeatable selection. Stores in every town Jeerz + Overpriced diapers, food, wipes Advise = Loosen up your return policy. People and there family’s spend a small fortune in your store when they have a baby but they can’t return a $ 5.00 shirt unworn with tags without a receipt.
