I went into the circle K the other day to buy my wife a pack of cigarettes. While I was there I decided to get her a coke and a frozen drink for myself. Up to this point I was having a pretty decent day and I was in a good mood. But then I met the guy at the counter, I don’t remember the last time I’ve been this mad and felt so disrespected by someone in the service industry. I walked up to the counter, set my items down. ME: «Hello, these and a pack of Camel crush please.» HIM: «ID!» ME: «Ok» hand him my id. Then I get ready to swipe my card to pay. I say«credit please» HIM: «I can’t do that from my side, Push the button» ME: «I’m sorry, I’m used to the way they do it at the Meijer gas station. They always ask.» HIM:” We don’t do it that way! You have to push the button!“ ME: «OK!» he hands me my reseat. I realize he has given me the wrong cigarettes. HIM: «Have a good day» ME: «I’m sorry I ask for Camel crush, these are camel blues.» HIM: «I can’t return them. I already rang them up» ME: «What?» HIM:(Long pause). «We can make up the difference but it will have to be in cash» ME: I look at the sign behind him, the cigarettes are he gave me and charged me for are about 20 cents more expensive than the ones I want. «Ok, that works.» HIM: Slams a calculator on the counter and says«F**K!» ME: I look at him in disbelief. «You know what I really don’t care about the 20 cents, I’ll just go, it doesn’t matter.» HIM: «YES! ITMATTERS! That will be 75cents!» ME: «what? The ones I want are cheaper» HIM: «NO! IT’S 75CENTS!» ME: «I’M LOOKINGATTHESIGNRIGHTBEHINDYOU!» HIM: «I HAVEITRIGHTHEREINFRONTOFME!» ME: «WHATEVERMAN! Here, 75 cents, I don’t care!» HIM: I only let you do that because you hadn’t left the store yet! ME: You need to work on your customer service skills. #%&*#@

High quality convience store/gas station. Quality presentation of food and services. This place trust, but don’t ever wait in line for gas there or try to get automated pump service if the store is closed, you will end up with water in your tank.

Woo Hoo Circle K in YPSILANTI, MI!!! Whomever it was who bought that winning mega millions ticket last night from the Circle K Gas Station on Clark Rd, I want them to know I couldn’t be happier for you! So what if it was not the $ 12 million jackpot winner… I sure think that matching 5 White Balls in last night’s drawing for a sweet $ 250,000 would be one heck of cup of Joe from my personal fave gas station, Circle K on Clark Rd. in Ypsilanti, MI! I betcha, that the lucky winner went to this lucky, local gas station first thing this morning for a cup of Joe and a donut as they head off to Lansing with their senior family member to cash it in! It is my understanding that if you have to travel to Lansing to cash in a big winning lottery tickety ticket, you should have a member of your family who is age 62 or older. The reason is they are taxed less for being a senior. Anyway, whoever you are, you lucky ypsi thang you, know that this blogging chick happens to adore Ypsi and its authentic residents and town. I’m elated to know that FINALLY, a family in Ypsi is jumping up and down in joy, and I sure hope this will significatly improve yours and your family’s life! PS… dear big winner, if by chance you would like to tell your story… would you consider an undercover kind of gal who has no secret agendas, no affiliates, no boss–(with the exception of my 2 yr old princess), a diminutive readership and viewership residing somewhere between the cracks in the wild, wild web? If so… hit me up. I promise I wont rub your head for good luck, it would be an honor to blog and showcase a REALWINNER in Ypsilanti, MIBABY! Hopefully, this is the beginning of a GREAT thing… and just maybe it will be the residents of Ypsi who will help to revive this beautiful town, the mayor sure doesn’t seem to be.

I know. It’s just a gas station. But as anyone living in the north Ypsi/Superior Township area knows, this is the place to be at 7am on your way to the grind — or if you’re me, at 1 in the morning buying Diet Coke and Reese’s. Cheap gas(second only to Boggs, which is usually the cheapest in the Ypsi-Arbor area), cheap coffee, and a friendly smile in the morning is always nice. There are only four gas pumps, so sometimes you just have to wait. They also carry some grocery basics — which is really useful to know when you’re halfway through a chocolate cake recipe only to find you’re out of eggs.
