Ana’s Alterations

This lady said she could make 8 dresses for my daughters quinceanera. 3 months before the quinceanera she had them come in, put a deposit down when they got measured. June 23 she leaves on vacation. Left me streeeeeessssssed. My big event is july 18 and she would return july 13. So i went with a bk up plan. Thank God for marquez house of Brides. Well mean while ana kept the deposit and didnt even attempt to make the dress i wanted.
Ana, she almost ruined my daughters quinceanera. Not a good move.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My friend recommended this place. Ana is nice, but she made all of my jeans too small and broke all the deadlines she made for my belongings to get back to me by over a month. I will never be returning to this alterations place. I wonder if I can get my money back for the 12 pairs of jeans she ruined. Don’t go here. She is the only one who can «sew» and she did a very lazy job at the seams and pockets. The jeans are now unwearable. That is not how you do business.

Love love love! A friend referred me and I couldnt be more grateful! I had a very expensive NFL liscensed parka with a destroyed zipper. I have taken it to several places and they all said that they were unable to replace the zipper. I brought it here and she not only said she could fix it, but could fix it within a few days, and for a very reasonable price! I just picked it up and I couldnt be happier! She did an amazing job, and the new zipper is sturdier than the original one was!

Ana was very kind when I stopped in to drop off a dress to have a minor alteration (minor enough that I could have done it myself if my time weren’t so limited). I dropped it off on a Saturday morning and she promised it to be ready on Wednesday (4 days later). I told her I would not be back to town until the following Saturday. She said no problem. Unfortunately, I didn’t pay attention to her hours and I got there too late to pick it up on Saturday. So, I sent my daughter to pick it up for me on Monday. she got there at about 3:00 p.m. and THE DRESS WASN’T DONE. It wasn’t even STARTED yet. Ana went right to work on it, but I’ll be curious to see what kind of quality work is turned out in ten minutes when you’ve had an item for 9 days.
When I called the shop, while my daughter was still there, Ana told me that she only charged me $ 6 for the alteration (which is what she told me at the time I dropped it of), and hung up on me when I expressed my concern about the quality of the alteration.
Not a happy customer here. I should have given more weight to the negative reviews, instead of the benefit of the doubt. I hope you will. AND MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FILTERED REVIEWS.

I’m constantly having my pants altered due to my height and was looking for a local shop. Unfortunately, I’m still on the search. I would not recommend coming here for the following reasons.
–I was told 3 days and upon arrival to pick up, they were not finished. Not even a courtesy heads up phone call.
–While I was in the shop they were searching for a ladies dress through piles of clothing. They had no clue where it was as clothes are randomly placed through out the shop.
–I came back 4 days later and my pants were still not finished! The guy there recommended that I take them to the dry cleaners to have them pressed. I was handed my wrinkled pants with loose thread clippings from other peoples clothing. No hanger, pressed, with protective plastic. But fine, it was a mom/​pop shop that’s less expensive. Or so I thought! The quote I was originally was given increased 50%!!! I voiced my displeasure but to no avail. At this point it wasn’t worth my time or energy. Lesson learned and I won’t be coming here again. Make sure if you’re foolish enough not to take my advice, at least have them write down the quoted price. So at least you have proof!

Anna is friendly and does great work, if you need any alterations I would highly recommend them.

I can’t tell you about her work because I never got past the customer service. Called before I went to make sure they could do curtains, they lady said yes. Went right over with measurements and all, was told Ana was at lunch and she’s the only one that can take the measurements from me, would I come back in 20mins? Hmm, Beckys alterations is right up the street, so I went there instead. She was awesome.

Never, EVER come here! This lady is completely unprofessional! I brought my wedding dress to her hoping that she could fix it, and she assured me she could do it. I dropped it off almost two months ago and it was guaranteed to me by the 20^th. At 2:00PM on the 20^th I called because I was concerned that I hadn’t heard from her. She then asked if my last name was Reed, asked if I brought two dresses, asked if it was covered in lace. After 15 minutes on the phone she finally found it and told me that it it would be ready by the 22^nd and to come in at 12:00PM. I went there today and she said «Oh, I thought you were coming at 4:00PM? We talked earlier about it.» UH NO WE DID NOT. Come to find out SHE HAD DONE NOTHING TO MY DRESS. Thank god because if she had butchered it I would have been livid (even more so). So if you want a professional handling your clothing (especially your wedding dress) DO NOT COME HERE. What a complete waste of my time!

I took some jeans there because I am short like a lot of girls also my favorite jeans were boot cut and I wanted them to be skinny!!!
So I took in a sample of what I wanted them to fit like and when I picked them up they were perfect!!!
I definitely be taking my other clothes there!

I believe I found my go-​to alterations spot.
Since I’m a short-​stack, I usually have to get my clothes altered and so I brought a pair of jeans and a leopard-​print, skin-​tight dress to Ana’s. I asked the receptionist if I could have both items altered about 3 ½ inches and I was a little nervous about the dress since it seemed complicated to alter it.
Her alterations made my clothes look like they were totally made for short people like me, and I’m super satisfied. She also had it finished when she said she would, which I appreciate.
This business only accepts cash and check, just fyi.

worst experiance ive ever had. I brought my wedding dress to her along with my maid of honor’s dress. it was friday February 17^th she fitted us both my wedding dress needed to b hemmed, taken in from the bust, i wanted a more dramatic sweetheart top, and it was going to be altered from my chest down to my upper thigh to be form fitting to my body. the maid of honor dress need to be altered from the bust and the sides, both of the dresses were going to have a built in bra added as well. we told ana that we needed the wedding dress back asap cause it still needed to be dry cleaned. she said it would be finished the following friday at 12pm. she called me that friday and said it wouldnt b finished till 4pm and i said that was fine. the maid of honor and i showed up at 6pm and no one was there it said it was open until 8pm. i then noticed she left me a message at 4:15 saying that the dress wouldnt be done till tomorrow and she doesnt think my wedding was tomorrow so she hopes that would be okay and to call if it was going to be a problem. i called and her husband answered and said they were at lunch. i told him i was going out of town early tomorrow morning and i needed it that night cause it still needed to be cleaned. the husband said i could either wait til they were finished eating or come back tomorrow and that the dress wasnt finished anyways. i then explained that his wife told me 12pm then 4pm and now not til tomorrow and i didnt think that was right of her, he then hung up on me. i called back and he answered and hung up. by this point i was really upset so i called and his wife answered and said she will be there in 5min. once she got there she said she would work late and have it finished at 8pm. when we went back to get it i tried it on and it was so tight that the beading on my left hip was falling apart at the seams, the hem was cricked, and the bust part was just as big as when i brought it in. i was shaking and crying and didnt know what to do. my maid of honor tried on her dress and it looked good her chest was just popping out but we assumed thst was cause the built in bra. when i got out of the dressing room with the maid of honor she was already working on my wedding dress, i asked her to please stop what she was doing and that i was taking it somewhere else. she got up ripped out the built in bra and took a blade to all the stitching she did, then threw my dress on the counter. at that moment i asked if she has started on any of my bridesmaid dresses and she said no so i asked for them back as well she gave them to me, never looked me in the eyes or say sorry.
i was in such disbelief that this had happen, when i took it to the other seamstress she thought my dress was from the 2^nd hand store and said it was the worst job shes ever seen, we then came to find out the built in bra that was put in my maid of honor dress was upside down and he dress had to get redone, it looked way different from the other girls dresses cause of the way ana sewed it. worst customer service ive ever encountered would not recommend!

I have driven by this little hole in the wall alteration shop 2 to 3 times a week for a few years always thinking I should bring in clothes to be altered.
I stopped in this morning on my way to Grand-ma-ma’s house to drop off four articles to be altered. Ana greet me as I entered this little shop with 2 sewing and hundreds of every colour imaginable thread on bobbins.
I dropped off a pair of pants to be hemmed and 3 bras to be altered, I requested them to be done by the time I leave town @ 7pm, Ana was very accommodating with my request.
