I have mixed emotions with today’s visit. Called in an order for to go and got two sandwiches. I picked what I normally get: surfin’ bird without onions. I was left disappointed with tonight’s order. When I first opened my sandwich everything looked great. Pictures show a sandwich with all the good fixings. But as I started to eat my sandwich, I realized maybe it was too close to closing time. The meat was folded up toward the open of the sandwich only to make it look like it was meaty and had great portions. The amount of lettuce was even skimpy. There was a good portion of avocado and cream cheese though. I guess you win some you lose some. Overall, it was still a good sandwich but for the price and experience I’ve had with this particular location, &BHD in general, I’m left disappointed with today’s order. I’ll def come back, but I’ll remember not to order anything this late.

Great sandwiches. However, every time I order for pick up they quote a time and I’m always waiting at least 10 – 25 mins longer. They will forget one of the sandwiches I ordered or my order will be messed up. Only once out of 9times has everything been correct and on time.

Sooo yummy. Got a large and wrapped the other half to go. Totally satisfied, and the pastrami was delicious!

We won a gift card to come here. We didn’t know we had one of this chain’s stores in our town until then. We’re older folks so for us the only negative is the«sports bar feel» with TVs running with sound on low and music pretty loud for a small place. The«surfer décor» is cute. The girls waiting on us and preparing food are friendly. I’ve never been a Subway fan because they are as stingy with meat & cheese as the worst places you’ll ever go — only generous with the lettuce… Beach Hut Deli is generous with meat portions and cheese is reasonable. I’ve tried a few different menu items and then found their version of a french dip(sorry, I’ve forgotten their name) and am hooked on it. We’ve been back several times after the gift certificate — check ‘em out!

WOW… something has certainly changed at Beach Hut. Once a week I get a Spiccoli, but the past 2 weeks they have been really different than the past several years. I’ve always justified the price of their sandwiches because of how much meat and other ingredients they put in. The past 2 weeks however there has been ½ the meat as usual, barely a spec of cheese, and even hardly any lettuce… LETTUCE. The value certainly isn’t what it used to be if they are going to start making their sandwiches like this. Time to start going somewhere else…

New to the area and wanted to try something new. Was greeted by both women working and was thanked by both when I left. I ordered the surfin bird with no cream cheese. Great taste, great portions. Clean restaurant. My only complaint was they didn’t ask what type of bread I wanted and I myself forgot to ask. Would definitely eat here again.

Very disgusted with their open lack of sanitation practices, when I walked in I immediately saw the woman handling the sandwich meat, cream cheese and guacamole with her bare hands. Then in between sandwiches she wiped her hands and the prep station with a rag and proceeded with beginning another sandwich. When I approached the manager she told me that it isn’t their policy to wear gloves and that they wash their hands between sandwiches also that the rag is «fresh» for that day. While she was telling me this I watched the prep girl move onto another sandwich without washing her hands. I brought this to her attention and she responded with me addressing this issue to corporate and would not give me the owners contact info. I do not think these individuals have taken a microbiology class or have any common sense on how filthy a rag is and what cross contamination is. I will definitely be reporting this establishment to the health and safety board.

Very poor customer service I will never come back here again. The women working on 6−30−13 were rude from the time we ordered to the time they brought us our food!

I’ve been here before but it’s been a few years. I was impressed by their portion sizes and quality! So today when I ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich(in a lettuce wrap because I’m watching my girlish figure lol) I wasn’t expecting it to be ENTIRELY lettuce with no «filling». Literally had about 5 pieces of chicken. Well thanks for helping me count calories guys!

Was in the area on work related travel and wanted something quick and easy. At first the menu can be intimidating as they have tons of deliciously crafted options available. I walked up to order and told the gal I was looking for a turkey and ham on wheat. They prepared an excellent sandwich. Excellent portion of turkey, just the right amount of veggies and the bread was superb. I will definitely come back and would recommend to anyone looking for a local healthy option.

Always love the Beach Hut Deli. This is the first time I’ve been to the Yuba City location and wasn’t disappointed. My husband and I ordered the large Sunburn for 13.95. If you love buffalo chicken this is perfect for you. It fed us both and had half left over. Delicious soft roll. Friendly service. Great experience!!!

Super good sandwiches. I didn’t think the cream cheese would deb good, but I was pleasantly surprised. A little pricey for a sandwich place though.

While I will say that the sandwiches here are great, the customer service is enough to make me no longer visit this location. On my final visit, I walked in 10 minutes before closing to see the girls working there sitting at tables with several friends only to be told that they were closed(despite the fact that the doors were unlocked and it was not closing time. I would highly suggest to ownership that they do a better job of hiring, as this is not an isolated incident of poor service.

We love the sandwiches Here, its either the surfin bird or the pig kahuna for us. The only problem is you have to go into this place knowing its gonna be at least 20 minutes before you get your food and that the customer service is awful. The ladies here are so short and never smile. We only come here when we are absolutely craving the sandwiches.

I came here after shopping at the grocery store. The customer service was good. The place is a chill relaxing place to hangout. I love the décor. They’ve done a good job to make it seem like it could be on the beach. If i’m in the area again, I’ll definitely come back!

According to my husband’s coworkers, this is the only sandwich shop in Yuba that serves beer. Good enough reason for me to try it. Stopped here to grab hubby some lunch and immediately dug the atmosphere. It reminds me of something I’d see by the beach in SoCal. At the advice of my friends, got hubby the«surfing bird»(turkey, bacon, avocado, cream cheese, mustard, mayo, pickles, lettuce, no tomato, onion or peppers), and myself the californian(vegetarian, sprouts, white cheese, and aforementioned veggies). Small sandwiches were 7 – 8 bucks each, plus a drink(not a beer), came out to about 18 bucks. The small, isn’t. It was a two-meal sandwich for me. Verdict: delicious as expected. Worth the price on occasion. Husband complained that there was too much turkey and not enough avocado. I had no complaints with mine. I’d like to go back and try more of their stuff, and hang out and have a beer. It’s very cute and beachy inside.

Each sandwich is handmade, so there is a wait. Can you have too much meat on a sandwich? The answer is yes. I ordered a regular sandwich on the sliced garlic cheese bread which only comes in the large size, I think? It was a ham sandwich with pepper jack. It wasn’t til I pulled the sandwich apart I saw peppers on the cheese. It tasted like swiss. The toppings were decent, but there was WAY too much ham on the sandwich. It was overkill and kind of ruined the whole gourmet sandwich experience. Overall the wait, the price point and the tarnished tastebuds will not bring me back.
