Cupcake Magic

We are definitely regulars. The atmosphere in there is so fun, welcoming, clean and the owners are so sweet! My son loves their cake pops, in fact it was one of his first words, lol. I am a huge fan of EVERYTHING there but the Somoa cupcakes are my absolute favorite.

The shop is so CUTE and the cupcakes ADORABLE… and the owners SO NICE! I love stopping in for the little 2-​packs when I’m going to visit sick friends/​elderly in care homes (who aren’t diabetic…), etc. They have wonderful flavors of cupcakes and you’re always proud to present them to others. Check ‘em out!

Paid nearly $ 100 for 3 dozen cupcakes which would’ve been fine if they had tasted like cupcakes. They were cold, hard, bland and wet when they defrosted. This place is way overpriced for the poor quality of cupcakes they have. Looks are truly deceiving… The cupcakes may look great but don’t let that fool you.

I’ve been dubious about cupcake shops since I decided to spend way too much on cupcakes from a Cupcake War «winner,» which also happened to be the worst cupcakes of my life. These cupcakes, however, were the polar opposite!
First and foremost, I was super excited to hear that none of the cupcakes had tree nuts. Wahoo! Music to the ears of this allergic girl. I opted for the carrot cake while my sons got the pb cup and the samoa.
The carrot cake was moist and so tasty. The frosting was like a sweet cream cheese cloud, so light and airy! The pb cup was not nearly as sweet as expected which was so welcoming. The peanut butter wasn’t too sweet and the frosting texture was that same airy mouth feel. The gooey caramel center of the chocolate cake samoa was really good, the perfect little surprise in that lovely cake.
I informed my sons that this year for my birthday I would be foregoing my usual fruit basket cake in favor of these cupcakes. Delicious!

I had the vanilla salted caramel cupcake and it was amazing. I have to say without a doubt the best cupcake I’ve ever eaten. Would definitely stop every time I’m in the area.

I came here with my girlfriend to see what the hype was all about. We LOVE macarons, And to get those here in yuba city are just about impossible. So we went in and ordered some macrarons and I was literally shocked when the lady came back and handed us our macs. They were not how macrarons are supposed to look. Or taste. I have no idea what she handed me. But as a baker, I would never serve a macraron that looked like that to a customer. I don’t see myself coming back here again. It’s very clear from the quality of the products being made here, that the owners don’t take pride in their work and especially in how their products taste. I’m really disappointed. If this is the best yuba city can get, then I won’t be back. I really don’t know what the hell this thing is, but have a look for yourself. Macarons are NOT supposed to look like this.

This place definitely takes the cake (or cupcake, rather) I had the chocolate cheesecake. That little cake was packed full of flavor. It was delicious and moist. I’m in heaven giving this place a 5 star just because of it. Hahaha. ;)

I just bought 2 macaroons the Neapolitan and birthday cake, seriously the best I’ve ever had. Macaroons are really difficult to make let alone get right! They have the perfect flavor and texture. I’ve gotten these cookies other places and been less than thrilled, even attempted to make them myself, and its a lot of work. Simply the best.

Most affordable yet delicious cupcakes I’ve seen. Two QUALITY cupcakes for 5.00 I could say they should charge more but that’s just me
The cake was extremely moist. I hate cheese cake but the cupcake cheese cake was to die for.
They deliver so that’s awesome !! Great place stay in business !!! Will come again for sure.

Came in for some macarons and they were not that tasty at all.
The Neapolitan one was okay and the birthday cake one seemed alright.
The pink one was hollow and blown up. Not impressed!
The store looked cute tho, and the cupcakes looked nice but I didn’t try any

The cupcakes were very cute. They were displayed in a very creative way. The cupcakes were good. I don’t know about $ 3 each good. But they were good. I gave only three stars, it would’ve been four stars, but the lady who helped us, showed little to no interest in our business, and more interest in the movie that was playing in the dinning room. And if it had not been for that, we probably would return to this establishment. But, I can not over look high prices AND bad service.

Got four cupcakes. Overall delicious. Came at the end of the day and a couple of the cupcakes were a little on the dry side.
Chocolate chip cookie dough-​Good
Mint Chip-​Delicious moist and a cool mint flavor
Lemon-​Very lemony. A little dry.
Peanut butter cup-​Delicious peanut butter flavor. A little dry.

The carrot cake cupcakes are moist and don’t have walnuts, I wish they had an espresso machine.

Cupcakes were dry and dense. The frosting had a strange sour/​rotten taste. Have tried them twice, hoping they would be better the second time. Will not be back.

These cupcakes are amazing! They are super moist, flavorful and melt in your mouth. My sweet fiancé got me some of cupcake magics cupcakes for my birthday celebration and he couldn’t have made a better choice! I wasn’t with him when he went but he said the owner was really nice and very helpful! We had the sampler pack (which I recommend if you get overwhelmed by their selection and can’t figure out what you want) plus a mocha chino and a Samoan! I seriously can’t decide what is my favorite because I really enjoyed them all! I don’t think you can make a bad decision here! So glad cupcake magic is part of our community! Support local businesses!

We love the friendly welcome & smiles we receive every time we step into cup cake magic :) We were surprised to see that anyone would complain? The only logical conclusion that we could come to, is that in this fast pace world we live in some have lost the appreciation of backed goods from scratch. Or perhaps they were left in the vehicle while running errands a bit to long & got hot? Well enough about that & down to the good stuff ! Our favorites are carrot cake & chocolate raspberry. Yummy!!! The great thing is, you can grab a little one & not feel as if you have blown your diet :)

Red velvet cupcakes are wicked awesome!
My husband and I were wandering main street and stumbled across this wonderful little shop. Because it was early evening when we stopped in there weren’t a lot of cupcakes left but there were a few available and I happily selected, purchased, and savored a delicious red velvet cupcake. The moist and flavorful cake was topped with an avalanche of rich and delicious icing.
Calorie laden? Yes!
Worth it? Yes!
My husband tried the ice cream … not impressed and not worth the calories.

Laurie comes to the Old Sugar Mill when there are events there. I work in one of the wineries and am always SO excited when I see her there. Her chocolate covered bacon changed my mind about bacon/​chocolate mashups.
Last time I had the pleasure of stopping by her table I got a Bailey’s Irish Cream cupcake and it was heavenly. Her cupcakes are BIG servings, but she also has these adorable sample packs that make you feel like a giant trying a bunch of little delectable cakes (I always steal the snickerdoodle or dark chocolate raspberry cupcake out of the tray).
Also, for gourmet cupcakes she is really well priced.

I was visiting my parents and decided to stop for cupcakes. In all fairness, it was around 6 PM and there weren’t too many left. I got a coconut one, red velvet, chocolate mousse, plain vanilla and a German chocolate one. I have to say the red velvet was the best I’ve ever tried! It was so moist and just delicious! The others were just okay.
I would return, earlier in the day, to try more and see how they are earlier. Until my next visit!

This review is about the pies I ordered for Christmas! Chocolate pie, Caramel apple pie, Blackberry pie and Cherry pie! They were all very delicious and it really brought the family together for a nice moment of comfort dessert and holiday moment! Amazingly homemade with a lot of Love from Cupcake Majic, they tasted great! Pie crust was perfection! We loved the Chocolate pie as the best, rated #1!!! 2^nd was the Caramel apple, Yummy. Blackberry was great and you can taste the little seeds, just like a jam. Cherry was tart, just the way it is supposed to be.
The pies really made our Christmas Eve more special because it was such a nice treat to have and a surprise for all of us who do not bake :) I think the prices are reasonable and I would recommend to others to invest in Cupcake Majic anytime, as giving back to the community/​business instead of going out to the local grocery store and buy a cheap pie with no flavor and bad crust! Cupcake Majic is definitely worth it…
