I have worked with many title companies over the past 6 years– our company has closed more than 450 escrows throughout Northern California, most of them with First American in Yuba City. Katie Furr is amazing– extremely responsive and always provides top-rate customer service. Everyone in the office is a joy to work with– especially Kristi Rymer. Horrible customer service! And, after speaking to the horrendous woman on the phone this last time, I am really not sure why the hell we even paid $ 800 for title insurance!!! Ever single question I asked was answered with «ugh! I wouldn’t know that!» «how would I know!?» or «get a real estate attorney…» REALLY?! WTF did I pay you guys for??? State regulations say that title insurance should cover my attorney fees?! I am at a complete loss… Loss for words due to the rudeness and apparent theft (for lack of a better description) of our money… Sad that we robbed like this and seems we have no legal recourse.
