NSFit – Walton YC

This is the best gym in town. I switched over about a year ago and couldn’t be anymore happier. The management is great. The shorter bald headed guy is very friendly and always helpful. This gym is way better than in-​shape and I recommend this to everyone

This garbage whole never ceases to disappoint. I came in for a late night workout, and forgot my headphones unfortunately. Their workout music of choice this evening was Western ballads, Literally the most unmotivating music someone could listen to while trying to work out. After 30 minutes I wanted to marry my sister and divorce my wife.

This gym has been such a great place to join! From the moment I walked in just to see what it was like the staff greeted me in a very genuine manner. TJ gave a really great tour and answered my questions quickly and with no judgement at all. He even showed me how to use the equipment without any hesitation. I did not feel like he was a pushy salesman at all, he honestly was the only gym staff member I’d ever talked to that didn’t make me feel pushed into joining like I’ve experienced when joining other gyms. I used the day care service they have on site and it was perfect. Crystal was such a kind caring person who made me feel so comfortable leaving my daughter with her when I’ve never let her be with anyone but family. It was very affordable clean and had plenty of things to do for her. I am so glad I joined such a friendly gym it makes the working out part much easier to do!!!

I’ve been going to NS Fitness Walton for about two years. This gym offers to me everything I need and I’ve only ever once experienced less-​than-​stellar customer service. That’s a pretty good track record since I’m a frequent flyer!
Their hours do change frequently BUT they always announce it on FB so I have a heads up if I need to change plans. They also advertise for their many events, which mostly focus on community support such as: food drives, clothes drives, family disasters, etc.
When I’ve had issues with people not re-​racking their weights, the staff has been quick to accommodate me in finding the problem person and nicely asking them to help me put the weights back (simply because I’m not strong enough to take the larger weights off all the time).
The facilities are always clean and if they aren’t, the staff is quick to resolve the issue once we bring it to their attention.
The child care staff is awesome! My daughter loves going in to play and is always sad when I go to pick her up. They really care for our children and it shows!
The trainers are PHENOMENAL! I love the classes! Most importantly though, I love that the trainers don’t ONLY speak to the people they are training. They motivate anyone and everyone they can, even if they aren’t getting paid to do it. it can’t get much more positive than that!
This company is family-​owned and it is apparent that the owners put their whole heart into creating a friendly atmosphere to cater to anyone who might enter. I appreciate their effort and will always be NS Strong!

Caveat Emptor. My wife joined this club a few years ago. When she cancelled her membership, the club continued to take money out of her account for 6 months. After numerous visits to see the manager and asking for them to stop charging for a cancelled membership, she had to go to the bank and pay $ 33 to put a stop on all account withdrawals and she never got her membership dues refunded.

I went to the gym in Chico on Skyway. Nice facility, but then I had to move out of the area so I cancelled the membership. Or so I thought. Months later, I get a call from a guy at a collections agency stating that I owe them money. I told him no, that I had cancelled my membership. He was rude and said I obviously didn’t do it right because they (the gym) says I owe them over $ 300. I haven’t been to the gym in months because I cancelled the membership. I called the gym and was sent to a general voice mail box. Now I’ll just wait and see what they say I guess. What a lousy way to do business. I was paying for the month to month membership, so with cancellation means there should be no more payments due. I do not recommend this gym to anyone who wants to do business with a reputable place.

They are so unprofessional, all the employees. I was told I couldn’t continue going there because one girl working there didn’t like me. They gave out some of my personal information in the computer system like my phone number etc. then to top it off they kept trying to charge me after they said I’m not aloud there. I also know several people that have had a horrible experience with this place. They will continue to charge you way past their 30day cancelation policy. They actually kept charging my brother and sister in law for about 6 months after they canceled, with no reimbursement. And they were no longer in a contract.

If you’re wanting a question regarding your contract agreement and/​Or a printout. Its best to come on a weekday mon-​Fri 9am-​6pm. How lame is that. I work weekdays. Reasons why I’m only free on the weekends to ask some questions. And if not, when I’m free on a weekday, they are off by then when I come in by 7pm. They prolly WONT BE ABLE TO HELP ME AT ALL. STUPID! Bad customer service…

I wouldn’t bother. I’ve been a trainer for over five years and staying near Yuba city from San Francisco. Went in to get a tour of the gym and to get a pass, looking to obviously sign up. They haven’t changed their five day pas offer online and wouldn’t honor it. Then had to wait twenty minutes for Simone to take five bucks from me for a day pass. There was seven staff members standing around not doing anything but talking on their phones or joking with each other. My partner has a membership there and I was joining the gym to workout together. Well. Needless to say he is canceling his membership. What a waste

I have been working out here for about 6 mo. My husband and I have been happy with it. The staff has been very outgoing and helpful. Some of the equipment is a bit thrashed, but since we have been there they have started replacing it. It’s always clean and doesn’t smell bad. Plus, the have a variety of classes at this location and the instructors are very welcoming to newbies in their classes. We are happy and have no complainants.

I was a member at this gym (and happy with my membership) before it was taken over by Northside Fitness. As soon as NS took over I was completely unsatisfied. The management at this place is a joke. This is an average gym, nothing special. If you decide to sign up just make sure they bill you correctly. Myself and a few others have been ridiculously ripped off. They are unprofessional and out for your money.

I like the Walton location the best and really like my trainer Jen. I take a lot of the classes and April is the best. I wish they had a better pool than the one at the 99 location.

I’m only in town for a short time. The staff was very accommodating. The facility is small and has no frills, but is more then adequate for a good work out.

I’ve been a member for about 3 years! I love the gym and the owners are great as well. It’s convenient because they also have tanning and tanning supplies.
