This place should be condemned. It’s absolutely atrocious. I was asked to pick up out of town family who checked into Knights Inn, the first place they saw late into the night. When I saw the exterior I was speechless at the poor condition & appearance of the building. There were«long term guests» sitting around the property in various places drinking beer and I could smell pot being smoked. The interior of the room was so filthy and unkept — I could not believe it was a motel room. The walls were filthy with fingerprints, dirt, smears of various«substances» and there were places where the concrete blocks that the walls were made of & plaster/wood on doors had chunks or pieces missing. The window coverings didn’t provide for total privacy. The floors were badly stained and were filthy with loose dirt, hair, particles, etc… The bedspread was clearly dirty, had an odor and was dingy which is evident it hadn’t been washed in some time. The bathroom itself wasn’t in near poor of condition as the rest of the room. However, the bathtub did have a significant build up all the way around the inside of it and hard dark, dirty footprint/smudges in the bottom of tub with red/auburn hair in the drain. As we left, I did ask one of the older couples who were sitting around if they knew whether or not the other rooms were typically in poor condition and their reply was, «its one big rat hole — unless you’re staying here long term. Then we clean it up nice the best we can. There’s only three families here like that though.» I would say for those facing the reality of being homeless then it’s a far cry from having to stay in a tent. It’s definitely a far better option. Otherwise… unless you’re seeking shelter in a run-down property that shouldn’t be habitable amongst folks who celebrate like it’s New Year’s Eve 7 days a week… there are much safer, cleaner, comfortable motels for the exact same rate within walking distance.
