Put me in a sari, show me a few wrist-flicks for the dance floor, keep me away from the Elders, and serve me wine, not gin, and I’ll not disappoint during your wedding reception. I may even surprise you by charming one of the aunties, not to mention two seven year old girls to the point of ‘I love you’s’ all around, and, yeah, dancing likely a bit too much w your 21 year old cousin. Hey, it was his idea, not mine. I’m told there were close to 500 guests for this reception, and I believe it, Walnut Ave Community Center is a huge reception hall. The entrance had enough space to set up photo backdrop so you could get a shot taken w the bride and groom by her photographer if your timing was right, but still not interfere w guest traffic. The reception room had a smallish bar area for the size of the hall, but it worked well enough. There’s also a stage set-up which can probably be removed if need be. The bathrooms could use a bit of updating, and perhaps at least one more stall for the ladies.
