Great breakfast and lunch place, don’t eat dinner there.
Breakfast is tradition café fair but fresh and flavorful.
We eat there every Sunday, though usually busy. If you go on weekends, ask to sit in Heathers area. She is a great waitress, friendly, funny and fast…
Their Mexican food is good also.

Food always tastes so fresh. The waitress are attentive and spot on. The 2 African Greys outside are fun to feed. They don’t have names. .whaaa

Normally the food & especially the service is better — however I had a meal yesterday evening there & the $ 23 dollar steak was dry & fairly tough, even cooked at medium. I noticed there was no marbling at all except the fat on the edge. Service which is normally very good was non-​existent. We had to keep raising our hands up to get someone’s attention & the place wasn’t that busy. Not sure if I’ll go back for Steak — the service I’m sure was an anomaly. I would have given 3 stars but when both the meal (steak) & the service are below average, well they get 2 stars…

Came here today for Mothers Day. we had breakfast and it was really good. our order came out hot and tasty. it was super busy but we had great food and great service!

Ordered the chiliqueles and they were to spicy to enjoy, the biscuits and gravy were cold, the waitress never came to see if we needed anything! Will not be coming back!

My family has been going to the Oak House for over 20 years! My most favorite breakfast in the entire world!!!
I’ve never had a problem with the service and the food is always excellent!
I always order the California skillet which hasn’t been on the menu for many years now! Delicious salsa and coffee!!!
We live in Palm Desert and ALWAYS have breakfast at the Oak House when in the Yucaipa area, at least once a week!

The food is really good. The staff is always friendly.
I am giving them 1 star because I’m tired of having to wait for the one waitress who takes orders. She must be the owner. Why can’t the other girls take the orders!!! Last time I came in I waited 20 minutes for my order to be taken!

Some of the best fried chicken I have had! This skin was so crunchy it was like eating a chip or something but it was amazing. The meat was moist and flavorful. Service was kind of slow but our waitress was very nice. We came in the afternoon and were the only people in the whole place!

I got the country breakfast which had scrambled eggs with ham, country potatoes with gravy, and a biscuit with gravy. It was really, really good. Boyfriend got the waffle and side of country potatoes, and he enjoyed it.
Years ago, I used to come for the chile verde, all the time, which was the best I ever had. Unfortunately, it was so hot it used to make tears drip down my face. Finally, my stomach rebelled, and after feeling like someone was punching me in the stomach for several days, I went cold turkey on the chile verde and stopped going to the restaurant. I know myself, and today, I was close to making a very bad decision and ordering it again. My mouth was watering. Phew! Close call.
One of my favorite things about the restaurant is the live talking parrots and the koi fish. Awesome!
One of the not so good things that caused me to take off a star was the service. My boyfriend was at the point of walking out, because it took so long for the waitress to take our order. I mean 20+ minutes long!
The service was really lacking. Thank goodness the food came out quickly, after we ordered.

First time in my life I refused to leave a tip. Our waitress let us sit there forever, got our order wrong and was rude… then we realized she is manager. We get great egg white omelettes for breakfast all the time in other restaurants. Price here was high and what i got was a pile of goop with watery veggies. When I complained that it wasn’t an omelette, she argued with me and said you can’t make an omelette with egg whites. She snatched the bill, returned it with $ 3 off and slammed it down in the table and walked away. $ 30+ for two omelettes and a child meal and it was awful. First time there, and last. It’s too bad because other waitresses were very nice and working hard.

Alright… we were reluctant to visit this establishment but we were pleasantly surprised! We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and got a table right away. The server was exceptionally nice, efficient and the food was very good! Not a fancy restaurant but certainly not meant to be one. A must in my book!!!

Great service, fast and friendly. Heather is amazing and I love the pork chops. Lots of flavor.

We go to the Oak House for breakfast and brunch and it gets a 4 star rating. However we tried it for dinner and that was a mistake. We ordered steak and I had a cup of chili. The steak was tasteless and. The vegetables were cold and the chill was not good. My daughter had fried food and that was OK. We will not be back for dinner.

This place is nice but run down, very dated restaurant, service has always been fast and good, the chili verde omelette and chicken fried steak are amazing !!! Overall the only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because the way the place looks

we have lived in yucaipa for over 20 years,
it is really hard to find a good restauant.
the food is constantly getting worce
the quality of food they serve is poor.
stall bread, tough grizzley meat.
oily, greesey old taisting french frys.
it seems like people just don’t take pride
in what they serve anymore.
oakhoues is very dark and drerry, I hate going there.
the food is high price, and below average in quallity and
taiste.
Like I said it’s hard to find a good restaurant any where in town.

I like coming here for breakfast. I love their corned beef hash with eggs and toast. The coffee is good too. Nice little restaurant in Yucaipa.

We went here and ordered easy dishes. The service was horrible, the staff was rude and snippy. It took forever for the food, and it was completely tasteless! I will never go back.

Lived in Yucaipa for about 2 years now and had never been to the Oak house on the blvd…
Went yesterday morning for breakfast.
It was pretty busy but in no time we were seated.
Fair prices.
I got the corned beef hash with eggs and home style potatoes & a biscuit with gravy. All that for $ 6.99
Very fair… All was tasty.
I requested hot salsa on the side and I was surprised how good it was…
I don’t get the recent Unilocalers giving this place one and two stars…
I look forward to the next visit…
