Great second hand book store and book exchange. I got lost in here for about an hour looking around. Liked the simple pricing system and exchange policy (see tips). If you love books and places like this you should bring some and buy some.

I try to go here as much as possible. My favorite used bookstore in the area, maybe anywhere I’ve seen. The proprietors are great, friendly, helpful people, a joy to visit with each time.

I never expected to find such a great used book store tucked away in Yucca Valley, but there it was. Cactus Wren is well-​stocked, well-​organized, and a complete joy to browse.
The sci fi section is particularly impressive, but there are books for all tastes here. I purchased a big back of paperbacks in great condition for $ 2 – 3 per book. The proprietor was friendly, helpful, and even gave me a «first time customer» discount. What a deal! If you’re a resident, or even just passing through and need something to read, I recommend Cactus Wren without reservation.
