Food 4 Less

This place is so ghetto. Filthy store. Got a rotisserie chicken that was so old that the meat was rock hard. The worst part of this place is there is always really sketchy people loitering out in front of the store. Seems like an unsafe place. Lots of soliciting in front of the store almost always. Management really should do something about that. I don’t dare go here at night or with my kids. Carts are always filthy. Trash everywhere. Seriously sketchy place. The prices are slightly better than other grocery stores but I’m not going to take my safety into my own hands to save a quarter. Plus you have to bag your own groceries.

As others stated in past reviews, Many of the shoppers are dumpy. I can agree on this. Tweekers galore. And Robo Guard who is a tubby little man who smokes too often has his eye on the wrong people. I have seen a woman steal some avocados. I saw another man carry a sandwich and 2 liter right out the exit. This was while mr security was on duty. He was probably too busy smoking and drinking warm soda right out of the 2 liter to let real criminals bother him. He tends to stare at me while I am shopping because my clothing is a bit eccentric. I guess because i am weird. I am Guilty. But I have never stolen anything because I am far too vain to risk going to jail where you cannot wear makeup and dye your hair. He needs to keep his eye on dirty dumpy people. Not dirty like visiting sweaty rock climbers… but dirty crack heads, tweekers, and people who have pit bulls for pets. Other then that, the cash register employees are great. Down to earth, friendly and helpful. The employees do their jobs and work hard instead of trying to turn the place into a fashion show like some other stores. Store prices are decent. I really like Vicki and Sony. I wish they had more vegetarian options in their frozen food area.

This store had the best deals on their produce and packaged food.
It is usually clean and well stocked, has good, friendly employees.
I don’t usually buy meat or dairy in food for less.

Not «super cheap» but a bit less than other big stores in the area. Not everything is cheaper, but enough to keep my business. It’s designed such that you have to bag your own, but that’s okay.

You can smell the desperation and poverty of America… Come take a whiff. The prices on daily nutrition like beer, Ho-Ho’s and pork rinds can’t be beat! Cashiers are lazier than shit, and won’t bag your groceries! I stood red-​faced and pissed for over an hour waiting for the idiot to bag my stuff! What’s up with these people? Only be back when beer is running low.,

I’m not a grocery snob so this store fits my needs just fine for picking up stuff I either missed on my commissary run or didn’t want to buy at the higher prices they charge at the other stores in the area. They have Kroger brand items and, being military and knowing the store brand from living in other states, I’m a big fan. The store is nothing to write home about in it’s appearance. I personally opt to NOT buy meat there but the produce prices are exceptional and I have no complaints on the quality. We often get the multi-​grain baguettes that they sell in the bakery area, only I request from staff to get them pre-​baked so that we can take them home frozen and eat them hot from our own oven after we bake them. There’s plenty to see with the locals there but the staff are friendly (one fellow tells you that you look nice today even when you look horrible and, once, one of the checkers insisted that they compensate us when my daughter’s dress snagged and ripped on a screw sticking out of the checkstand –a $ 20 giftcard).

This store is improving, for sure. If you want you buck to go a long way, there’s no other store in town that will do that. Also, the wait line is shorter now that there is a line dectection system and you get in and out much faster than their competition, I’ve noticed. If I don’t shop in the commissary on base, I shop here. Convenient times open too…

well, it’s exactly what it sounds like. food for less. not the most luxurious grocery store by any means, but when you have a group of five dirtbag climbers and need some really basic supplies, you don’t really need anything more than this place offers.
we didn’t come to this place for excellent customer service or an outstanding grocery shopping experience. we came for some beer, bread, and canned food. we got that, paid, and left. plain and simple, short and sweet. I’ll most likely swing by here again for some food for less next time I’m on my way to JTree.

This business tries hard to be a Winco clone. All I have to say to that is ‘This ain’t no Winco’. The meat quality is low & prices fair to good. Overall item selection is poor. Their produce department was good, however. I miss Winco, which is employee owned. That makes a big difference, in my opinion. I’ve been in other Food 4 Less locations which have been better managed.

Food for less is exactly as it’s named. However, there are reasons for this. These places aren’t a well lit and cheery as your normal supermarket chains, you have to bag your own food and there usually aren’t a lot of people working at the time. If you’re used to full customer service, not having to search for employees, and the famed «paper or plastic» call when you’re greeted at the register then you’re not going to like it but, if you’re self sufficient, and don’t mind a little extra effort money can be saved here. Personally I like the place.

this place is out in the middle of no where and you would never expect a food 4 less herer. well came in to pick up some last min supply for camping trip and i was like OMG everyone stare at me like WTF are you lost (probably i’m the only asian) well when i was in side all the guys mad dog me like you don’t belong here, the girls smile and wink at me. i was a bit shock. but i guess the girls need some spice in there life lol. but i don’t feel safe in a (blue collar /​red neck) area.

OMFG, This place blew my mind! one i felt so gross going in their with all the low class people in there. Not to mention its so hard to find stuff in there. Then you have to bag your own groceries. LOL who does that!

very nice staff and good service. They have a good selection of items i need before I head out to the desert for camping. Good prices that can’t be beat

If any other grocery store was open till midnight, I would be going there. But there isn’t. Instead, I am forced to wade though the sea of white trash that frequents this establishment. Seriously, 9 out of 10 people in line are paying for their food with ebt and wic, then spending their welfare cash on booze. Our wonderful system failing again.

I can totally dig this place. Great for super fast party shopping, and I’m sure for general shopping as well. I will be back! :)

I never thought I’d say this, but I miss Food 4 Less! It was like having a little Costco but without the membership fees. Lol Even here in Texas where the cost of living is lower, we could still use one of these.

The Food 4 Less in the middle of the desert has a lot of bulk items so you can stock up your little desert hideaway while living in self-​imposed exile. Moderate average prices and good selection. They carry my favorite Bolthouse Farms Vanilla Chai Soy Protein Drink for only $ 2.98 a liter! Good wine section, too. My cashier’s name was Electra, which is pretty cool. Haven’t been to any other Food 4 Less stores, but this one had a little warehouse-​y feeling to it, if you’re into that sort of thing.
