Hoof & The Horn

I agree this is a worthwhile boutique to stop at if passing through yucca valle, and next to a nice coffee shop. Owners working that day were friendly, decorations of store unique and well done, and selection of items/​merchandise was diverse and intriguing.

I will start this off on a positive note. I went to every shop in the area, and I found Hoof and the Horn to have the best selection of goods. However I’ll never drop a dime at this particular establishment due to the vapid rudeness of the store clerk working on Monday, February 22, 2016.
I came in and asked a couple of questions and was met with zero eye contact or respect from the young blond woman in her acid washed cut off jeans who was too bothered with a personal phone call on her company’s time. I got the notion that she’s too cool to talk to a lowly patron of her establishment. I hope that I am getting my point across to the owner of Hoof and the Horn in a fair and objective manner from a customers point of view.
I literally came to pioneer town to buy things to take overseas with me as I am moving, but that’s not important.
What is important is giving genuine, friendly customer service when you are selling $ 60 wallets and $ 85 shirts next to 2 thrift and consignment shops that offer a smile with your purchase. If you want to be an upscale hipster boutique you must meet your price point with quality employees and on this particular day you couldn’t have had a worse ambassador for your brand. Good luck, you have a beautiful store.

Cute shop with an interesting variety of items. Looks like a mix of used and new clothing. There were some really interesting, unique and yummy scented candles near the back.
Clothes weren’t my style (a bit hipster-​ish), but lots of funky stuff.
Person in there greeted us, then ignored us, but that’s OK. I figured it was one of those situations where she didn’t want to make us feel uncomfortable by chatting us up while we roamed around.
Worth checking out if you are in the downtown area.

Cute little store tucked away in Yucca Valley. They have a nice variety of clothing, some boots and a few little gift-​like items (perfume, jewelry, etc). Really friendly guy was working there when I stopped by with a friend. Items do vary in price, but we found it to be very reasonable. I’d stop by again if I was passing through.

I want everything in this store! It’s a wide selection of items but also very well curated – clothes, vintage, accessories, vinyl, candles, scents, etc etc. Everything you need for the bohemian desert lifestyle. The prices are very good and the owner was super nice. I bought a really cool and very soft denim shirt, but had my eye on a lot of other things that I will pick up next time I go back.

Love this shop! They have the cutest clothes & home accessories! I love to browse this shop whenever I have the time! I definite Hi-​Desert gem!

I fell in love with this little shop in the deserts Yucca Valley! I stopped in between a visit to Joshua Tree and Pappy and Harriets! This store carries treasures both old and new… custom and ready! They have a great selection of graphic tees, hats, shades and natural stones!
The value is excellent and I can’t wait to mosey on in AGAIN…

What a totally cool store! Hoof & The Horn sells both new and vintage clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories, offering an eclectic mix of contemporary brands (mainly small brands and mostly from California) and styles. I’d describe it as a blend of bohemian, 70s vintage, rock ‘n roll, biker, Americana, Western and Native American elements. Style-​wise Hoof & The Horn is right up my alley!
Jen and Adam have such great taste and I’m not just saying that because it mirrors my own. I’ve found so many fabulous things in this store. For instance:
— Beaded Ibiza sandals and knee-​high suede lace-​up boots, both from Minnetonka. I saw these boots on Kate Moss (who has them in every color) and had to have them; was amazed that they were only $ 86.
— Gorgeous vintage cowboy boots.
— Crochet fringed bell sleeve duster from Gypsy Stardust.
— Crochet bell sleeve minidress.
— Leather fringe halter top.
— The coolest socks ever from Stance.
— Several beautiful and unusual pieces of jewelry.
— Komono sunglasses and watch.
There is so much to fall in love with at Hoof & The Horn — like the entire Komono collection. I wasn’t looking for new sunglasses or a new watch and ended up buying both! I own Chanel and Fendi sunglasses but I never wear them anymore because I’m so in love with my Komono Coco sunglasses. And my Bora Bora watch is the most gorgeous timepiece I’ve ever owned. I’ve never been hugely into watches but that was before I discovered Komono. Now there are two other watches I have my eye on. By the way, all the Komono pieces I’ve seen were priced in the $ 60 – 100 range, which is super reasonable for such awesome style and quality. They also carry Quay Eyewear and those are even more affordable.
Come to think of it, with two exceptions, everything I’ve purchased here has been under $ 100 (and many things have been under $ 50). I really appreciate that they’re keeping prices moderate (though they do have some pricier items also).
Oh, and this store is not just for us ladies; they have a sizable menswear section with clothing lines like Obey, Comune, Loser Machine, Brixton, Iron & Resin, Kennington and many more. On top of that, they carry a truly eclectic mix of «non-​wearable» items: EarthQuaker guitar effect pedals, camping gear, tarot decks, vinyl records, natural perfume & beauty products, a few kitchen/​houseware items and probably some stuff I’m forgetting now.
Such an amazing assortment of products, I think everyone would be able to find something they love at Hoof & The Horn!

I stopped in yesterday when I was driving through town. I’m so glad I did. This place is awesome! Great selection, great prices and unique style. I hardly ever find clothes that I love and fit great. Needless to say 99% of my wardrobe is black. I found 4 unique pieces (with color) that I’m very happy with. I will definitely stop in again the next time I’m in town. Can’t wait for the Palm Springs store to open.

One of my favorite shops in the Hi-​Desert. The selection of both vintage and new items are good. The vintage is in good condition. The shop itself is cute and next to a great little coffee shop. Worth a visit if you are in the desert. Everything from accessories, records, mens clothing and some handmade jewelry as well. Best part is they are not going to break your wallet here!

Forget Disney… Hoof & The Horn is most definitely the happiest place on earth! I am a LA girl with a weekend house in Joshua Tree just recently purchased and will now label my Free People & Urban Outfitters cash jar Hoof & The Horn… hell I will practically now starve myself to have extra cash for this great shop!!! Over the moon ecstatic that I found a boutique that captured not only my complete and total essence, but my boyfriend who btw HATES to shop loved it and actually purchased as well and said he would go again and again. He also commented on how great it was to shop at a boutique without a salesperson or owner on your heels (LA boutique owners could learn a thing a two here). H&TH has something for everyone, guys, girls and even teens (which my 16 yr old son dug it also). Wish there was an online store, however who says a girl can’t drive 2 hours to her new favorite place to drop some cash! All I am saying is this place is CRAZYPANTS AMAZEBALLS with great pricing and an excellent vibe and the owner is the bomb! I also recommend before or after… or both to stop in Ma Rouge coffee shop. There is nothing like the high of excellent shopping and great organic coffee! FYI the moment I took pics of my new outfit and accessories and posted to FB, people were messaging like wild fire asking where it all came from. Double thumbs up «Like» for Hoof & The Horn! A not to miss boutique if you are visiting Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, 29 Palms or just passing through.

This is a cool shop. I was just walking through the shops on day and popped in to have a look. There are so many cool things. There are clothes, western hats, cowboy boots, décor and jewelry. I was only planning on looking around but before I knew I was spending $ 80 on some beautiful bracelets.

How is this incredible gem of a boutique survive way out in the middle of nowhere?
Well, however it does, I am glad I found it! If you’re visiting Joshua Tree National Park and you need to get outfitted with some fashionable and deserty duds, I highly recommend! This place is akin to a boutique on Abbot Kinney or Melrose, with ½ the cost and ½ the attitude. The young couple that own the shop are just lovely and gave me plenty of recommendations for food and fun things to do around Yucca Valley/​Joshua Tree.
Highlight of my experience: Used cowboy boots for $ 48 and in incredible shape. They are, quite simply, bad ass. You won’t find that price for real leather anywhere.

There was nothing I disliked in the store. I wanted the entire Minnetonka line displayed there, along with the cut-​out maxi dress, black winter floppy hat and gorgeous black and white tribal print open cardigan. I swooned over the Quay eyewear and interesting bird talon jewelry. There was also an amazing artist collection entitled Mohave Bones by Bön Nielson. I definitely can’t wait to get my ass back this store and do some shopping!

Stopped in and ended up buying the coolest bag. I thought it was going to have a price tag in the 100 – 200 range but to my delight it was only 40 $! This store has a great eclectic mix of music making equipment, vintage items for men and women, jewelry, and new stuff. I really liked the vibe of the place.
I will go back when visiting again.

I went to this shop when I was passing through Yucca valley, and I’m glad I did! They had some really cool and colorful items that would be perfect for the desert or the beach. They also have a fun and interesting variety of vintage items, mostly 70’s style. I didn’t look too much on the mens side, but it looked like they had a bunch of awesome vintage shirts.
