Even though this is not an original Route 66 stop, it’s worth a pit stop. Large area for kids to run around plus a large playground. Only bad part: it seems the bathrooms are porta potties and there are no water fountains. There is a super cool Route 66 display by the main building.

This is a beautiful park that sits next to Lake Overholser. Plenty of picnic space and a cover pavilion is available for rent for parties. The pond next to the park has dried up some leaving a small beach area. Fishing, feeding ducks, and walks around beautiful scenery is what makes this park a favorite hot spot for all ages.

Great park with plenty of playground space and open grass. Lake is located a few yards to the east so you can enjoy fishing whole the kids are playing.

Route 66 Park Is the perfect park for all your outdoor activities. I saw several people fishing. A wonderful playground for kids and a covered picnic area with bbq grills. There is a paved path a mile long that borders the water. It had beautiful bridges to walk over and lots of different vegetation. It was a great walk for my dog. She enjoyed the ducks and prancing near the water. A very pleasant morning.

The nicest park I’ve been to. Sits west of Lake Overholser. Bring bread to feed the ducks. Plenty of swings and slides for the kids. Picnic areas and more. There is a skate park to the west of this park.
