The fried chicken is good, and very moist, yet not greasy. The prices are very affordable and the menu offers a lot of other items as well, including burgers and ribs. Our server was fantastic, fast, and friendly. The atmosphere is a throwback in time — I’m just not sure what time — but it is clean fun and eclectic.

homestyle taste. love the fried chicken, corn on the cob and mashed potato. it took a while but is worth the wait. think they make only when there is order.

Oh my goodness! The chicken is sooooo good. I’m particular about my chicken and this is the best ever. The sides are ok, but the chicken is to die for. The pulled pork sandwich is also excellent. It’s big enough for two. They have all you can eat chicken on Tuesday and Thursday from 2 – 7. The first order has 4 pieces, a wing, leg, thigh, and breast. After that you get whatever has just come out of the oven. So you get followup pieces one at a time, no choice. Still, excellent. I over ate every time. It can get loud and busy on Tuesday and Thursday. They have a frequent eater card if you will be in the area, but they don’t advertise it.

Fried chicken is awesome! Their ribs are also good… They have great coleslaw and baked beans too! Definitely going to go back over and over!

Yuck. This restaurant was recommended… what??? My companion and I ordered the Friday night Prime Rib Special. WTF? What restaurant serves Prime Rib with CANNEDVEGETABLES??? You know, like Veg-All? They have pictures of the special all over the walls… not one picture has CANNEDVEGETABLES!!! The special also says Garlic Toast. Yeah, we were given a Kings Hawaiian Roll. Holy hell. To top it off, the Prime Rib tasted musty. Sure do wish Terri, our waitress, checked in on us during the meal so we could tell her how nasty it was! I’m giving it 2 stars since the other waitress was fun and personable! In fact, she said«see ya next time!» Unfortunately, I had to tell her you only get 1 chance to make a first impression. AND, she agreed with me on the Canned Vegetables! «Blondie» is a seasonal waitress… hope when she comes back from Colorado, she ends up in a different spot! Me and my girl will go visit her for sure!

I stopped in about a month ago because I was in the area. I ordered my chicken to go because I had my dog out in the car and it was hot. The waitress was friendly, but didn’t ask me my name, which I didn’t think anything of. Well, I wait and I wait and finally noticed a couple customers who picked up their orders who I was sure had arrived after me. I finally said to another waitress who walked by about my order and she said it would be up shortly. Finally after more time I asked when was my order going to be ready? She said what’s your name? I told her, but also mentioned that nobody asked me my name when I ordered. Finally she spots an order that had been sitting on the counter and asked me what I ordered. Then she figures out it out it must be mine. No apology, no nothing. Just handed it to me. That pissed me off but I didn’t say anything. They were so casual about it all and no concern that I had been waiting for close to a half hour. And after all that wait what did I get? Greasy fried chicken. I fail to see how people can gush about mediocre chicken at best, and service that was terrible. I will never go back. I guess that’s acceptable in hick towns where nobody is in a hurry to do anything, but I thought I was treated like crap and the food was lousy.

Every once in awhile you find a gem and If you like fried chicken then this is the place! For me I have ate a lot of chicken but nothing compares to this tender juicy and the taste is just out of this world and that’s just the chicken mash potatoes are great too. Check it out! You will not be sorry.

Surprisingly good fried chicken. The sides were also outstanding, cole slaw, steak fries and beans. My husband really enjoyed his chicken fried steak sandwich.

The chicken tenders are wonderful. Great flavor and very juicy. The deep fried corn is different, I had never had that before stopping at this place. The fried bone-in chicken breading was bland and the two piece portion size small. The baked beans were tasty as s the coleslaw. Onion rings were very good, thicker cut onion and perfectly crispy. Everything was hot and fresh. The waitress we had was very rude. She practically tossed the onion rings on our table and getting anything from her was a slow process.

Have to give 2 thumbs up for having Kool Aid! Have eaten here a handful of times and it can be very hit and miss. Sometimes things can taste like old grease and come out cold and other times you want to keep eating more because it has been prepared perfect. Prices are on the high end.

Some of the best fried chicken we’ve ever had. Mashed potatoes and cole slaw were okay — nothing special. Chicken is the star!

Wanted to stop in for country cooking and was not let down. They have all you can eat fried chicken for $ 8.95 on T and Th from 2 – 7. I must say they make the chicken in small batches and it was superb. The skin is golden brown with a hint of seasoning. Every bite was as juicy as the last bite. They give you a wing, leg, thigh, and breast to start. The Mac and cheese was cold and the hand cut fries were alright. Someone else had cold Mac and cheese and brought it to the servers attention and she promptly had the kitchen fix it. I left the cold Mac on the side of my plate. Who needs sides with perfectly cooked fried chicken in front of you! I would have given them 5 stars if the sides were more exciting. If the chicken is that good I wonder how all the other eats are. I think I’ll put this on the heavy dinner list which is fun to go to 4 times a year.

Stopped here on our way from Scottsdale back to OC and decided to stop by for lunch. A little down home hole in the wall spot with gravel parking.(Love these places) We sat down and ordered ribs, chicken and chicken strips. The ribs were good and the sauce was just right. The broasted chicken was yummy too. We also had kool aid which was made perfectly! Not a lot of sugar but had just the right amount. However the best part was the friendliness of the owner. He was so welcoming and warm. Even gave my baby girl a teddy bear to top off our visit! If your driving through Yuma stop by to visit and try em out!

Got to go 4 stars because this place is a hidden gem outside Yuma, AZ! Four of us had fried chicken legs, Jumbo spicy wings, hush puppies, fries, deep fried corn, mashed potatoes and gravy and a side salad. The salad was nothing great. Hush puppies were reportedly good. Mashed potatoes and gravy were super delicious. Chicken wings were NOT spicy but were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Definitely stop here.

You’re on the road and get VERY hungry! Think fried chicken, no, think broasted chicken. Pressure fried delight. It’s a small, rustic 14 table clean restaurant with friendly staff and excellent service. Our server treated us like long lost and loved relatives! We felt special. Ordered 2 chicken tender platters, 3 large crispy delicious tender juicy chicken tenders with french fries, plus an additional 2 tenders and some hush puppies and cole slaw. All summer drinks are free! Food was exceptional. We had a $ 20 voucher that cost $ 10 and because the bill was less than $ 20, they gave us a big slice of fresh berry pie to take out. We’re glad we stopped here !!!

This place is definitely worth the stop. It’s small hole in the wall but well worth the effort. Make sure you’re not driving to fast cause you may miss it. There is a sign but make sure your passenger is looking so you don’t pass it up. Prices are more than fair…

My family and I were here in May 2015 after seeing many great reviews. Parking was easy. Service was friendly. The décor is old, but not bad. The place was extremely dirty, dusty and festooned with cobwebs. Service was very slow(I think only one server was working). It took 20 minutes to order, over 60 minutes to get food, and when we did, it was inedible. Still frozen in some places, burnt in others. Mushy corn, tough biscuits. Super-duper cheap. A few locals got up and left due to edit times. We paid and left, we will never be back.
