Famous Dave’s

My wife and I ate here on Saturday, June 4, 2016, around 2pm. The greeter on duty acted like she didn’t care if we were customers or not. No greeting, no smile, just the perfunctory march to a booth near a food prep area. We didn’t accept the seating and asked for a booth in the main dining room. I may be wrong but the greeter, the «face» of the organization, should engage, hook the customer, and make them feel welcome. After reading some of the other reviews maybe a little retraining in customer relations is in order.
Now for the good part. Our server was Jovan. He was everything the greeter was not. In fact, when we go back, we will ask for him by name! What a great attitude.
We love Famous Dave’s for their ribs. I am an aficionado of the art so chain BBQ has its limits. Famous Dave’s Yuma never disappoints. The Big Slab is consistently delicious. The sides are wonderfully prepared. Our favorite sauce is the Sweet & Jesty. So, we got past our poor reception and had wonderful service and an excellent meal. Couldn’t eat here because we were never greeted by a host within 12 minutes, had to leave.

If I could give a minus star rating it would have minus 10. Worst greeting ever only to get worse with a waitress throwing a wet towel on the bar and a male server giving us the dirtiest look I’ve seen. All because we wanted to set in the bar. We promptly got up and left. I would avoid this place at all costs.

To start off, our server acted like she didn’t want to be here. Never introduced herself. The bottles of bbq sauce were sticky. Obvious they dont clean them. Hubby had the Pulled Pork sandwich and thought it was good. I order the Burnt Ends appetizer and was very disappointed. Only 1 piece of the meat was burnt. I love burnt ends which is why I ordered it. Server brought the check and her name was on it. Brianna..

Oh my glob I love this place. It’s been a couple of years but it feels good to come back. I got the 6 bone naked and just order the sauce on the side. Wow it is filling for only half rack and the flavor is super delicious. I can’t wait to come back. The smokeyness of the meat is very present too and juicy. I will most definitely come back next time I’m in town. Can’t leave out the service. The waiters are really nice very attentive and always checking up on our table with a big smile. Top notch BBQ!!!

If your hungry for a nice dine in this is the place to be the food was AMAZING I totally recommend the feast for 1 it was cheap and yummy.

Got the Georgia pulled pork to go. Got home and bit into the pork and got a rather large amount of plastic. Not very happy and I will not be returning.

First the entire night started off terrible, we sat for 12 minutes before being greeted and given our drink orders. Another 7 minutes before getting drinks and ordering food. Got the Texas beef brisket it was absolutely the worst brisket I have ever eaten. The parts that we’re not black and burnt was hard and unchewable. The waitress Veronica could not have cared less. She did bring me a new sandwich but never once offered me or the other 5 girls at the table any refills on our drinks. If you do go this terrible place ask for anyone other then Veronica for your server. She is just awful.

This place was a mistake. Ordered the nachos with pulled pork. The cheese was not melted and dish was cold. It looked like someone scraped the walls and floors, sprinkled cheese on the plate, and called it a day.
Additionally, the waiter was lackadaisical until it was time to butter us up for the check. He would check to see how you were doing whenever you had a mouthful of food and not wait for the answer. The onion rings were a soggy bowl of grease. They were so flaccid they could not penetrate the ranch that came with them. I can not recommend this place to anyone.

Great! expensive, but I think price is reasonable for the food. Great stuff! I got a hickory chicken sandwich. Awesome! If you love BBQ it’s a definitely a place you should go! It wasn’t all that busy so the staff was attentive. The tea is good, it was in a bigger then average restaurant size. Would definitely eat here again. Music is good. Great place to stop.

Same as any other Famous Dave’s. Kind of pricey, but still yummy. 2 – 6 pm they have 1.99 domestic drafts though!

Great food, nothing really over the top. Like every other mediocre bbq establishment.

MMMMM BBQ! We stopped in on our way to San Diego for quick lunch! We all had a pork Georgia Chopped sandwich each one was very good. Tangy sauce nice amount of meat to bun. Good temp attire to all the food. We opted for fries instead of chips. Tasty!

Famous Dave’s has fantastic burgers. The combination of ground beef with ground smoked brisket is delicious. I crave these burgers! They have an excellent selection of BBQ sauces from a KC, to Old Miss, to Texas, and beyond. I like to make a BBQ sauce lake of a few of the sauces with a bit of the Devil’s Spit sauce to dip my french fries.
Service is fast and friendly, Exit 2 in Phoenix off of 8. Come hungry, leave ready to drive the rest of the day!

Was so very diappointed in the food. Place itself is nice. Food very dried out and cold when we were served. I did not like it at all. Famous Dave’s in Wisconsin however was Great but not this one… far from being on my list to go back again. I would have to pass!

We came here about 9pm on a Saturday night. The food was fresh, and the service was great. We have been here several times before and we are never disappointed. Good family restaurant. A little pricey, but worth it.

Famous Daves. they are famous for their ribs. but nah i think there famous for their Texas Beef Brisket. that is some yummy meat. especially getting some cup cake corn bread. OMG! the best. i like the service is very quick and people are generous. the only reason i dont give the 5 stars is because prices are not that great. they are actually too expensive. but is good if u go once in a couple of months.

Food might be good but service terrible. No hostess for several minutes. After i finally got a table and sat for several minutes no one has approached for service. In fact I never saw wait staff in the dining room at all. Left and drove to Chili’s and had my drink order at the table within two minutes.

First tried Famous Dave’s in Lancaster, Ca a few years ago. It was great. Have given our Yuma location 4 chances to come up in food quality and they have not. Tonight my baked potatoe
Was lukewarm as was broccoli. The beef brisket was fatty and cold.
That’s the last chance for me.

We stopped here while visiting in Yuma. We enjoy a Famous Dave’s near Phoenix and they tend to be reliable for good food. That was our experience here. We visited on President’s Day at lunch and the service was slow but okay.
We enjoyed the burnt tips appetizer. My husband ordered the two-​meat platter and was especially pleased with the sausage. My dad had the burnt tips sandwich and enjoyed it. My mom and I had slight variations on the BBQ salad – her with pork, me with the brisket. This was my first time getting a salad at a Famous Dave’s – come on, it really needs a remake. The meat is awesome but the salad itself is bland and forgettable. Basic lettuce, shredded cheddar. Considering how this is the one healthy offering here (the whole low cal menu is gone), can’t you at least do mixed greens and add some oomph?
